The fact that your flashlight starts getting messed up when he's near, and your vision starts going out, makes it feel like a paranormal thing, like the black eyed kids or something.
It also explains the behavior.. It takes it's time even though he knows you know he's there; doesn't break the window to get in; causes the breaker to flip, like it's overloading it instead of actually cutting it, etc.
Makes this a lot creepier.

Usually I can't play horror games, but when Insym plays I watch non-stop :P (although sometimes I scroll up when it get's scary just to listen)

This was a fantastic watch! Not sure if it was the dev's first project or not but he did a great job in both balancing the game mechanics and the scare factor (no spamming jump scares or noises at 300% volume). I hope to see more from Stranger.

In my timezone the usual live stream starts around 12 AM midnight. Because i was enticed by how friendly the stream chat was, i sometimes hopped on the stream just to join saying hi YT when he told us its going to youtube.

The lights in the big house are so absurd it breaks immersion. They barely reach the ground below them and just two meters away everything is pitch black. You shouldn't need a flashlight when the lights are on.
The small house is just slightly better in that regard.

Omg the alarm sound is legit alarm which we have in Japan. Our phones make such sound when earthquake is coming. Gave me legit goosebumps as soon as I heard it 😂

I love this game. I just hate the fact all horror games get the light mechanic wrong, when you shine a flashlight, it doesn't just cover up the one area you pointed it at but also a bit of the area around the light. So instead of seeing the one thing you're pointing the flashlight at, you'll see the area around it as well, just dimmer
I love noticing the occasional stranger things references because I'm pretty sure he's been watching the series

The stranger lurking and trying to break in for 6 hours is scary, but the police being out for the whole time due to government cuts is scarier.
Think about how much faster the stranger would be in and out, or just gone to the next victim as soon as you noticed him.
And of course the windows don't have locks built in either.

It would be nice if Insym plays games like subnautica. Not listed as a psychological horror game tho, but because the game is filled with sea in an alien planet makes it so scary, the fear of the unknown is prevalent here. Playing it for the first time makes it 10x better!
I agree, those games are great. I love to play that game, but my fear of super deep water kicks in so hard I have to stop playing after like 20 minutes. Its basically desensitizing training 😂

My windows are made of 4 & 1/2 inch thick high density lexan (if you try hitting it with a hammer or a baseball bat, you probably will end up breaking your wrist(s) and hitting yourself in the face with said object) and the locks on them aren’t in a location that something could be used to open it from the outside for similar reasons in this game. (Minus the wandering mass murderer part)
For those that don’t know, high density lexan is 250 times more impact resistant than glass and that includes impacts from a bullet. It can stop a lot of varying calibers of bullets. I know it can’t stop a 50 BMG, but I don’t recall what lower calibers it can’t stop (if any).
My reason for having them is that I just don’t trust people.
