I bought this watch FAC00009W0 from the Orient official website and it arrived yesterday. I also thought from the various videos on RUclips that the dial was white, but it is not at all. It is light gray or at most pearly white but tending to gray and not white. The hands are blue. The watch is beautiful.
Two constructive criticisms: 1. don't mimic TGV. Your content stands on its own. 2. if you had filmed with the window facing the camera, you would have use of natural light and less overhead artificial light. I love my cream dial Bambino and your video on the watch was good.
Redskins Pride WGIL Criticisms noted. Thanks for watching. I was more poking fun at Tristano than copying him. Good call on the lighting and camera position. Next video will be reviewing this watch and I will reverse the camera.
Tom bryan TGV and I live in the same town so I've interacted with him on many occasions outside of RUclips and we've known each other since we both followed the Archie luxury channel almost a decade ago. I'm not much of a watch collector anymore and my channel content is more diverse beyond watch collecting. I review watches from the practical perspective of them being products. They win or fail in my book based on a lot of things beyond look, feel and collectibility. Therein lies the difference between my few watch videos and TGVs entire channel.
A quick way tell the new version is the marking on the dial. The newer version says "Water Resistant" while the older version says "Water Resist". Both are beautiful watches and I own both.
Hi! A very good review, I just wanted to point out that you don't have to hit the watch to wind it, swinging it from side to side is enough. Another thing is, when shooting a video it would be better to do it where there is much less light coming from the background. And again thank you very much for the review.
Crown & Buckle has 21mm straps and NATOs. I have ordered from them in the past and their product line is great, and their service is superb. And no, I am not affiliated with C & B in any way.
There is a differance on the dial between Gen1 and Gen2. On Gen1 is written "Water Restist" and Gen2 shows "Water Resistant". So you are able to see wich watch you got.
Yeah me too. I am about to sell this watch on eBay. It is beautiful but not getting any usage. If you are interested let me know. Watch is mint with two straps
I think I've seen this watch in a brushed finish, which I am not a fan of. 0LAF2046 are different finishes available when it comes to this watch or do I have bad eyes?
Yeah it comes it at least 10 variations if you include the original Bambino 1 along with the Bambino 2 editions and Bambino 2 version 2 editions. The original Bambinos were more art deco styled and brushed and polished finishes. Orient makes a lot of watches and they seem to be keen on doing lots of colors and versions of one style.
0LAF2046 Cool Mr. Thanks for the reply. I have a thing for watches. Quality, craftmanship and style matters. I am building my collection and have been considering an Orient. Do you have others that you might recommend?
they are not hand made in japan, they are machine made. Also japanese rules on the "made in japan" tag isn't very strict. They can have the made in japan mark on it if the factory is owned by japanese firms that builds in malaysia.
But if I want to replace the strap with deployment strap then which diameter would be a better go? 21 mm strap or 22 mm strap? Now it's become a dilemma.
The plating that Orient/Seiko uses is an Ion Plating technology meaning the gold is chemically fused on and not painted on or layered over as in the watches from the 1980s/1990s era. There would be no fading from normal wear and tear during the lifetime of this watch unless you try to fade it intentionally with chemicals or physically scraping away at the surface.
Do not known how to handle a watches, act like to review Orient Bambino the spirit of Nippon, smack again the palm and drop it on table proved that you got no respect for ORIENT Legendary

Why do you keep smacking them against your palm?? That's not the way to wind a mechanical watch!
no,thats the way you ruin it
Pensé lo mismo
Man everyone loves this watch!!!! It’s definitely cool looking. In December I’ll buy mine. I like the cream face and the blue second hand.

“The only complaint I have is the sound it makes when I violently smack it against my hand and the table”
Great video review and nice comparison. Also very good picture quality. Good job.
Thanks to your review I bought me two of them . One for my partner in Abuja and one for myself . I love the watch…
Hi mate , please don't hit and mistreat your little beauties !! Shake'em gently in a circular motion ....they will thank you !
Agree. That hurt. Appreciate the vid though, thank you
gold looks really good on black skin, pops out very nicely.
Just bought the watch myself and nice tie (Adelaide South Australia).

You thought it was good but numbered 2 sentences and both were ctritical

You beat me to it! Def use the natural light , at least i think you mean for the camera to turn its back to the window =)
Nice review, I am a collector and will take your advise regarding this watch, all the best!

OMG !! And please don't throw'em on the bloody table !! If you like watches... handle them with care or get yourself a bloody G-Shock !!
I totally love that Bambino with blue hands! :)

ikr, I cringed so hard when he did that
I cringed too - but i think he was trying to show the rattle of the movement (as opposed to winding it).
Great content, thanks for this video! Anyway you do everything to scratch your watches!
Good video. I have my second Bambi coming.

Poszukiwacz
21mm only Nato, no 21mm leather unfortunately... still a good place to look for 3rd party straps nontheless - good rec
Great review in the lighting yours looks like its a cream dial i could be wrong

Thanks for your video review; however hitting the watch against your hand does nothing other than possibly damaging the balance staff.
I was hoping you would do a quick showcase w/the new lighter-brown strap on the bambino. thanks.
Genuine leather is like the cheapest leather. The more expensive ones are top grain and full grain leather.
good man hardworker.enjoy ur life.
Fabulous watch! Which dial color would match my tanned skin more, cream or white (rose gold)? Thank you.
both would work. cream is more summertime fun and gold could be our winter season dress formal watch.
great review
Do you like the cream dial or white dial more?
Sorry my bad english. But i have a question. How to winding orent bqmbino ver. 2 ?? Thanks
Nice. Really nice. Were u nervous or just short of time?good job.
Seahorse Workshop trying to shoot on my lunch break so I had no time
Blue hands got me
Yeah me too. I am about to sell this watch on eBay. It is beautiful but not getting any usage. If you are interested let me know. Watch is mint with two straps
What colour strap goes better, black or dark brown?
Thanks. It a good video. I see on Amazon. They sell it around $150. Is it reliable?
vu vu it is a very reliable watch!
i am a beginner, so i don't know if longislandwatch.com website is good or not. Thanks
vu vu yeah. It is a great web store and an authorized dealership for many brand name watches
thanks
0LAF2046 do you know about passthe watch company? They told me the watch will be under their 2 years cover warranty

What city is that skyline in the background?
It is New York City facing Central Park from 59th Street looking north. If you ever do a Top Of The Rock Tour in NYC that is the view you pay $60 for.

DO YOU WANT THE WATCH, OR NOT, DON'T BUY IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. ✋ STOP COMPLAINING & JUST ENJOY IT.
The old version says 'water resist' v 'resistent' on the new one
Will this fit a 7.5 inch wrist?
How accurate is it?
May I know the strap diameter?
Sakib Shahriar The dial is 41.58 mm
The strap is 21mm wide but I've heard folks squeezing in 22mm nato straps in between the lugs!
But if I want to replace the strap with deployment strap then which diameter would be a better go? 21 mm strap or 22 mm strap? Now it's become a dilemma.
Your grail watch is a bambino...?
So what?
أبو عبد السلام الحنبلي
That’s not what a grail watch is.
will the gold fade since its plated

Will this fit a 6.3 inch wrist ok?
zabo358pure perfectly. It will fit a 6.3 inch wrist!
ok thanks! Just curious how big is your wrist?
In the video my wrists are 7 inches exact..
Mine is 5,5" and it fit well.

So that's how one winds a watch. Note taken. ... That's a strap by the way.
yeah you wind away from yourself. funny enough not a lot of people know that even guys that work in jewelry stores and watch shops!
put a Hodinke Gater 21mm strap on it ($250) and you have a real keeper
That Glossy Chestnut Brown Alligator $280 is really sweet! Thanks for the heads up!
wrist size?
7 inches
@@olaf2046 tnx. how decent is it for the 7 inches wrist?
Gen1 says "water resist" Gen2 says "water resistant"
