Wife just got this for me for my b day it’s my 3rd orient and they all run less than +3 seconds a day awesome , better than some of my $1,000 watches ! If you are a watch person ya just gotta have a bambino
Relative Time most of my watches are subject to sale or trade and recently A orange mako regretfully went to a new owner to finance another piece and another orient got sold to a guy I work with and I cannot remember what it was called (sporty something?) they both had the same movement and kept awesome time , hard to beat for the money and yes the strap on the bambino will be replaced lol
Thanks. Although recently my videos have gotten much longer. I've been trying to keep them short and to the point, but often times there are things that need to be said. That and I do lume comparisons on almost everything, and that usually takes up a min or two.
Thanks for explaining the different generations and versions, that always confused me. I like the outside setting, nice change up from the norm. Keep it up!
I bought this off amazon, received it yesterday, gorgeous and everyone really liked it. The photos look nice but in person the watch is so much better looking. I don't know anything else about the watch yet, just commenting on the look and how much it fits into my style. If this comes in gold I am going to snap that baby up too.
Great review! Couldn't make up my mind until I watched your video 3 hours ago and picked up my V2 Gen2 an hour ago. I have the model with white dial and blue hands, an absolutely stunning watch.
The black suede strap from strapsco comes in 21 mm, and it's aesthetically pleasing.Thick and durable as well, offered for 20 dollars (US). Yes, the size of bambino straps is an issue. The look of the one you feature also detracts slightly from an otherwise beautiful watch. Its appearance is just okay, and a better quality strap would be preferred. The mention of water resistance on the pearly white is awkward and inappropriate. Sapphire crystal and the logo on the crown would be ideal. Yet these minor drawbacks notwithstanding, I recently ordered the 2nd generation bambino, with rose-gold hands and roman numerals. I'd be willing to pay up to 100 dollars more for the above modifications. Good review and much appreciated!
I just discovered your channel and your videos. To be honest, i like your reviews. In your videos, you gave clear and detailed description of each watches, great video editing and i also like your tone. For such great videos, surprisingly only few people viewed and subscribed your channel. I believe your channel deserves a lot more views and appreciations. Keep up the great work! Already subscribed your channel.
Thanks for comment, and words of encouragement. I'm still relatively new (4 months now), or that's my excuse at least. Still have a lot to learn about the youtube search engine game, and how to get your videos found. But I'm enjoying it, and it's growing. Some of my videos have done well, not in tons of views, but are in the top 5 when you search for a specific watch. Which I've found that sometimes it just takes a month or two. As the more people view it, the more RUclips knows where to rank it with similar videos. Although to be honest, this is one video that I thought was going to do really well, and it hasn't. But there are a ton of Bambino reviews, especially by much bigger channels. So I'm hoping over time it slowly starts to creep up the ranking system. Like some of my others have. Anyways, thanks for watching and subscribing!
Thanks for the review. I’m considering this version for my son on his birthday. In fact I wouldn’t mind one for myself! Another great feature is the fact that Orient produces their own movements.
I have a gen2 version 1. You said it. You can't beat this dress watch for the price. When you put this watch on it looks like a $1000.00 watch. I have several watches that cost more and they're great. But the Bambino is a gem that you just have to experience.
Ver 2 gen 2 of Bambino line is simply awesome. With that impressive timekeeping for around 150 usd, that watch is value for money. F67 calibers used by Orient are absolutely great and better than any of its Seiko counterpart. A level above of NH35 imho. I have even made comparisons with my ETA2824(a top grade ETA) and 2836 powered watches, and results were pretty satisfying.
Great review. Just got this watch in stock and I'm very impressed with it, although, the strap is a little tough. We also got the Bambino Small Seconds and the strap is much more supple. Incredible value for money though!
@@RelativeTime Thank you! Hope you're staying safe and healthy. We've just gone into lockdown in the UK. Thankfully, the postal services are still operating & we're making sure to keep a safe distance when handing over parcels. Hope everything is okay your end!
It is, although it's always got people around. I've tried filming a few other times since this, and hard to find a quiet spot. Especially where no one is staring at me like I'm a crazy person talking to myself.
Just read your review, and my only reservation is the lug width! i cant find a V4 online...so my question is: Would i go for a 22mm OR 20mm Barton silicone strap replacement..?
Well if you are trying to fit something into a 21mm space, you cant really go can't really go bigger. Unless you want to cut it down. The other thing to watch out for is quick release straps (which Barton has a lot of). As they have a fixed spring bar inside already that won't fit. Luckily Barton has a number of 21mm straps now, so there are a lot more options now then there used to be. So I'd look for those first.
hello ! I really liked the video and the watch, in Brazil the average price is $450 dollars, a bit expensive here. But I won't fail to get it one day. Hugs from Brazil! And success to you in everything you do, God bless you! Egil
Hi there, would you still choose this over the small seconds bambino? I have this on order but can alway change for the small seconds. Decisions decisions. Both look fantastic though.
I would, but a lot of that is just personal preference with the design too. There is something about it that really meshes with me, and I haven't seen too many other watches that look like the V2 bambinos either. The other dress watch I really like is the Vario Empire.
Both nice, but I'd go with the V2. Never been a huge fan of open heart watches, but more because the V2 design is a bit different then most dress watches out there. Has more of a vintage look then a clean bauhaus design.
Thanks! Thats a tough one. I think I would still go with V2, as I love the train track chapter ring. But if you don't care about that, small seconds. Cheers!
Hey okay so last question much like my other one, how does the size of the Bambino gen2 with the Roman numerals compared with your green Timex weekender Chrono?
Hmmmm that's a close one. Id say they look close to being the same. Technically the Bambino is larger at 40.5mm, but with the pushers the Weekender Chrono looks about the same. I belive lug to lug is also very similar, the only major difference is going to be height. Which the Bambino is taller. Although that's mostly the doomed crystal, so it really doesn't look much taller.
it can be a challenge. The V4 is nice, and I'm glad they changed it to 22mm. Although they did increase the case size from 40.5 to 42. But I'm good with that.
Version 5 is the most recent release. But I believe it has the same case and movement as the Gen 2 watches of Version 1, 2, and 3. They just look different, but the same watch. The only difference between gen 1 and gen 2 of versions 1, 2 & 3. Is the upgraded movement. There is no gen 2 version of 4 and 5 as they already have the newer movement. As opposed to the small second or open-heart bambinos which are also new. Same case, but a different movement.
It's a cheap one I got off ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/16-24-mm-Genuine-Leather-Watch-Band-Strap-Butterfly-Clasp-Buckle-Watch-Replaced/202080163411?hash=item2f0cea9653:m:mkUKWUvakGoz2xFJ0jWBn6g:rk:1:pf:0 It's ok. I'd say it's on par with the stock strap. I'm still looking for a good one, but 21mm can be hard. Cheers!
I agree, for example a milanese or a crazy horse leather band can make a Bambino a casual or everyday watch. BTW I hates cheesy shiny fake "gator" bands on any watch.
Yup, I was speaking a little fast when i did this video, and forgot to specify. Mine is usually about +4-5 seconds a day. Still not sure what orient considers "in spec". My guess is they are like Seiko, so -10 to +20 is what they consider normal.
I have 6 1/4 inch wrists and the Bambino wears fine on me with no lug overhang. Short lug to lug distance and lower watch height mean a lot more for watch wear-ability than case diameter. Also leather bands wear smaller than stainless steel bracelets do.
My Father introduces me to Orient back in the 70’s. I remembered him 🖐 winding his watches. Orient is quality
I decided to try something different, and film a few things outside. Let me know what you think. As well as which version is your favorite.
Wife just got this for me for my b day it’s my 3rd orient and they all run less than +3 seconds a day awesome , better than some of my $1,000 watches ! If you are a watch person ya just gotta have a bambino
Very nice Birthday Present! What other Orients do you have?
Relative Time most of my watches are subject to sale or trade and recently A orange mako regretfully went to a new owner to finance another piece and another orient got sold to a guy I work with and I cannot remember what it was called (sporty something?) they both had the same movement and kept awesome time , hard to beat for the money and yes the strap on the bambino will be replaced lol
I'm still looking for a better strap for my bambino.
Excellent presentation and all about the brand in 7minutes unlike many reviews just whuffle and whuffle. Awesome review
Thanks. Although recently my videos have gotten much longer. I've been trying to keep them short and to the point, but often times there are things that need to be said. That and I do lume comparisons on almost everything, and that usually takes up a min or two.

I ordered by amazon a version 4 and i receives this one version 2 with romanic numbers , black dial and black strap , really elegant !!!!!
I just bought a version 4 Blue dial and love it. Very, very nice for a first real watch.
Can't really go wrong with an Orient as your first real watch.
@@RelativeTime Thanks I agree.

Hard to go wrong with a Bambino. Especially with all the different versions.

Exactly, for the price it's really hard to beat.
I have this in the black on order should be here sometime today and I like Roman numerals the best
What a great review~ Thank you! I think i just find the right birthday gift for my dad. He used to have an Orient in the 80s back in China.
Thanks! Hard to go wrong with a Bambino.

I wonder how different mechanically orient movements are from Seiko. Or if they just take more time regulating them.
Great review. Just got this watch in stock and I'm very impressed with it, although, the strap is a little tough. We also got the Bambino Small Seconds and the strap is much more supple. Incredible value for money though!
That it is. Glad to hear you are still up and running with all the crazy going on. 👍

Cream dial looks better... I like this watch so much
I love mine. I have the second generation with the blue hands and the cream dial. One of my favorite watches not.
Just discovered this channel and subscribed .great measured tone and feel to your reviews . keep up your eexcellent work!
Thanks a bunch. It's been a lot more work then I thought it would. But I've been having fun doing it.
Very helpful. Just ordered one. Cream-colored face.
Glad to help. Hope you like it.
White Rock lake is awesome! Also great review!
It is, although it's always got people around. I've tried filming a few other times since this, and hard to find a quiet spot. Especially where no one is staring at me like I'm a crazy person talking to myself.
The dial on this is more of a cream color. It's pretty dark for a white dial.
I'm a sucker for rose gold everything.
4:30 I think the lug to lug is 46.5 mm

Orient Bambino V2 (Rose Gold Roman Numerals) or the Orient Blue Dial Open Heart?? Which one do you think is. better choice. Please help
Both nice, but I'd go with the V2. Never been a huge fan of open heart watches, but more because the V2 design is a bit different then most dress watches out there. Has more of a vintage look then a clean bauhaus design.
A subtle retro wink well done,
(as well done is the present vid).
Very well done review. Thank-you
cute and classy watch
Very much so.
👍 Thanks! Version 3 is my favorite. Great music also! 😎
Once again nice review. Version 2 or champagne dial small seconds? That is the question.
Thanks! Thats a tough one. I think I would still go with V2, as I love the train track chapter ring. But if you don't care about that, small seconds. Cheers!

Relative Time, thank man. And I went ahead and ordered the Cadisen!
21mm strap width is a pain.
Hirsch do a few. At a price.
V4 is 22mm. Lots of choice.
it can be a challenge. The V4 is nice, and I'm glad they changed it to 22mm. Although they did increase the case size from 40.5 to 42. But I'm good with that.
Another great review. Thanks
Link on the strap?
Do I get this one or the black one (first)?
This one.. Or check out a small seconds.

Is the gen. 2 or the version 5 the most updated orient?
Version 5 is the most recent release. But I believe it has the same case and movement as the Gen 2 watches of Version 1, 2, and 3. They just look different, but the same watch.

Thanks!
V3 is my least fav version, Second Hand version dial design is my most fav. version
I’m going to try and pick up another version later this year. Probably the small second version.
Relative Time small seconds white or rose gold and the v2 version you currently have are the best ones
I like ver 2
It's an amazing looking dial.
Hi, does anybody know what strap is the one in 1:29?
It's a cheap one I got off ebay.
www.ebay.com/itm/16-24-mm-Genuine-Leather-Watch-Band-Strap-Butterfly-Clasp-Buckle-Watch-Replaced/202080163411?hash=item2f0cea9653:m:mkUKWUvakGoz2xFJ0jWBn6g:rk:1:pf:0
It's ok. I'd say it's on par with the stock strap. I'm still looking for a good one, but 21mm can be hard. Cheers!
THANKS
great watch for the price....
It really is.
Change the strap on these and it's more than a "dress" watch. It can be whatever you want it to be
I agree, for example a milanese or a crazy horse leather band can make a Bambino a casual or everyday watch. BTW I hates cheesy shiny fake "gator" bands on any watch.
I love you too @ 4:56
4 seconds per day?

Just to damn big for me . What a shame .

Is that for me, or the watch? 😎
