I thought of getting the Ulanzi one, mainly because i also use a cage on my ZV-1, but i came across the M-Remote brand which works the same as the Ulanzi, and i'm happy with it.

One thing that wasn't addressed was the effect of the Neweer spring rate effect on the ZV1 lense motor. Although the weight of the lens is not directly on the ZV1 lens but if the spring is pulling back then that would cause the motor to constantly push forward in response to maintain the lens extended. Also, if there is any clearance issue on the lense extraction by tightening the clamp on the barrel. Although the lens does come out it is being forced out by the motor so friction may not be great enough to stop it from coming out but there may still be some that can affect the motor

@@thefilmalliance yes i used the adhesive, also cleaned the surface with some alcohol. But it came loose. The Adhesive and the magnet both (first times the magnet, after a few days the adhesive). No i am done with the ulanzi. The newer is the choice for me.

I bought the Neewer jet for my Canon G7XIII and absolutely love it. Easy to install and remove and doesn’t interfere with the UURig half cage I have installed. Makes a huge difference for vlogging. Nice video!
I have the ulanzi on one of my two ZV1’s and only 2 things I dislike are how ugly it looks when lens is extended and the apparent stress the lens may go thru each time i turn it on but, just as you mentioned, no issues so far. As for the neewer, it looks better IMO But, takes away the small form factor which is what makes alot of people love the ZV1. It no longer remains a “pocket camera” and instead will have to be carried in a suitable camera bag just as you’d carry your A7 series camera. Im sticking with the ulanzi UNLESS the neewer drops to $20 or something lol
Thank you. Man, whenever I watch videos at your channel I do learn a lot about my own ZV-1. However, since I’m admittedly sometimes slow in my learning to operate any camera, I am though glad I can learn from videos such as yours many I watch repeatedly. They to me are positive as well as very uplifting. Now about your recommendation, I may just decide to get the lens from Neewer and later a gimbal (M2S) too as in a long run it can alleviate any of my need of the wide angle if intended specifically towards vlogs or on handheld shots or where altogether active stabilization and its resultant crop on the ZV-1 might best become an issue that’s possibly been avoided by me just via my usage of the gimbal instead.
Thank you so much for the comment. Some people have commented that I talk to slow in my videos, so I have tried to find the perfect medium. If you have trouble picking up what I am saying, you can always change the speed of the video. Yes, I also would recommend the Neewer, because it attaches to the cameras and won't hurt the motors. What camera do you have?
You can find the picture when you put both lens on the same screen, obviously, the inside of the Neewer lens is much darker. That means the reflection inside the lens is much smaller than the Ulanzi. Also, the coating seems much better on Neewer. And that is why the output color of the Neewer lens is sharper. And I would not accept the sticker adaptor neither. it is not only the problem of motor, the camera lens group will be collapsing downward because of the long time constant force of attractment. I am talking about the irreversible damage.
I've had the Neewer for a couple of months or so now, and I've been pretty happy with it so far. I'll have a couple of new videos coming soon on my channel which use this setup (once I power through a big client video project and have time to work on personal stuff). I use the UURig half cage which consists of a solid bottom plate and decently sized grip. It attaches via the tripod 1/2 20 socket (my only complaint here is it uses a phillips head screw instead of an allen key, but this can be modified) and leaves the attachment area around the lens free for the Neewer adapter. The Neewer adapter also has a small cut-out at the bottom base of the adapter when installed to allow for cage bottom plate clearance. I can still get this setup to balance on my Zhiyun Crane M2 if I switch out the attachment plate of the cradle for the one SmallRig makes specifically for the M2 and attach an arca swiss plate to the bottom of the UURig (I use the Peak Design capture clip plates). The UURig has an array of holes on the bottom that allows for a bit more forward placement of the arca swiss plate. I use the SmallRig cradle plate because it allows for quick detachment of the camera for battery swaps, and since this configuration of my ZV1 is all that goes on that gimbal, i made a few discreet reference marks so I can line everything back up once the battery swap is done. It takes a bit of fiddling, and it feels like it's getting close to the limits of what the M2's cradle will allow space-wise, but it still works great. Thanks for the great content, as always!
this is all great information for anyone who is interested in trying to throw it up on a gimbal. I actually was thinking about that as I was editing, but then I realized if I can throw the ZVE 10 up on a gimbal than the ZV one with the Neewer lens shouldn’t be a problem
Wow! This is awesome. I’m Ryan (formerly of Tides On Earth, now LCL DSC GLF). It’s amazing to subscribe to a channel that not only responds to comments (even when there’s as many as you get) but to actually act on video requests! As a content creator, I’ve responded to video requests but not nearly within the short amount of time you did this! Thanks so much for making this. Colours were slightly different in your comparison, but I was pleasantly surprised by how similar they both were. I film a lot in hot conditions so I’m going to go with the neewer. I have an M3 which should be fine. Great comparison! This channel is a must if you’re using a ZV-1! Keep in touch…
Hey there Ryan, Thanks for the nice words. It was such a great idea I couldn't put it to the back burner. Thanks so much for your youtube companionship. Ill have to check out your new channel
Installed Neewer lens as well. Runs perfectly with Smallrig L-shape bracket. I like the idea that you can remove the lens with one click of a small button and place it in the case separately. Great video! Keep us inspiring with your experience!
Yes and I love that you don’t have to remove the cage with the Ulanzi lens. What do you mean you can remove the lens with one click? Please tell us more!
Hey Chris, yes I agree I think that the Neewer lens takes the lead purely because of the way it attaches. I did think the Ulansy lens was a bit wider but the neewer put off better colors
thank you so much. you gave the thread size and I have been struggling to find that info. you also gave an amazing comparison. I really love your tutorials and I am so grateful. Let see how my very amateur photography starts to improve
I love your content. I have been watching for a while now, Great Job. The Neewer had better AF and the colors from it were much better in the stationary forest scene. Further, the image was much sharper than the Ulanzi in the vlogging scene. keep up the great content.
I have both the neewer is just built for the camera better gives it a cleaner fuller look then the Ulanzi quality pretty much the same just depends on your preference really hope that helps anyone 💯💪🏾
i bought the Neewer for the *zv-1f* and it feels like really good glass even on a camera it wasn't initially designed for i like that with the zv-1f it adds back a degree of optical zoom
Great comparison! I’ve been using the Ulanzi quite a bit lately. I’ve noticed the image quality degrades badly around the edges. A polarizing filter also vignettes noticeably at the widest zoom. My photos look terrible when using it. I do like that I can quickly unscrew it, and add another filter, so it makes for a versatile tool when you need a wider view. But, I need to see what’s up with the terrible blurring just outside the center of the frame. Seems odd.
Hi! I picked up the neewer a week ago, and I love it. It makes the camera easier to handle, now I can use my left hand to grip the camera like a reflex. Another thing that is great is the chance to use 49mm filters, and neewer have a lot of types to put on. But, it haves to issues: #1 you gonna need a camera case and #2 the macro lens isn't so good, i don't like it very much.
I used the ZV1 + Ulanzi lens on all the videos that burned me my first 1,000 subscribers. What I found is the sticky ring didn’t last long enough and needed to replace it a couple of times. Looking at the neweer mounting is 100 times better
Loved the pause before saying " On the Film Alliance", that was a great touch! I thought maybe you forgot the channel name for a second, but nope! 🤣👌 I don't have a ZV-1 but it's a very interesting camera. If i were to choose one of these wide angle lenses i'd choose the Neewer simply because i have tons of products made by them and they are always great quality!
I recently got the neewer one specifically because of the weight straining on the motors and possibly lens alignment, but now you have me conflicted again! I specifically got the zv-1 because i don't want to lug around a "proper" camera for video (i usually have 2-3 film cameras in my bag already) and the neewer lens with the tube and everything is almost the size of a smallish full frame lens.
Great video coach! I've been using the Ulanzi since day one! NOW... if these to lenses were released at the same time, i probably would've gone for the Neewer just because I don't like adhesives. However, i've had zero issues with my Ulanzi lense so far! Great one Joe!
@@thefilmalliance yes I use my camera for RUclips videos and a little bit of vlogging! However I do need to get out of my shell and do more Vlog videos
I bought a Sony ZV-E10 and following your channel. The camera is the first digital camera I ever owned. A reason I bought the Sony camera is to utilize already-owned Pentax K-mount lenses. To use the filters for the Pentax lens on the Sony lens, I have also purchased a 40.5mm-to-52mm step-up ring filter adapter. I bought a M-REMOTE 18mm wide-angle lens and used the step-up ring filter adapter to mount the wide-angle lens and it works well. I do not have to use tape.
I like the Neewer lens! I have soo many more options with it to me. Also people think I got a professional looking camera when I tell them the price and the quality it outputs
Haha “image” is everything 🤦♂️ everyone thinks I got a Harley but it’s a Kawasaki 125 motocross … nothing personal mate just saying 🤷♂️ If it gives you the results that satisfy you, imho whatever inspires you to do you is all that matters , not what others think 👍 .. and that’s why I dig Joe and the channel! Here’s what can be accomplished with the zv1 👍 idk I think a lot of folk loose focus cuz of that and that I think is why folk forget the zv1 is supposedly made for and marketed at vloging but Joe shows it’s can be much more than just walking around with your phone or GoPro .. sorry 🤷♂️ it’s in me had to come out 🤦♂️😳

With this camera after I master it I feel like I can handle mirrorless camera with a ease and less learning curve
Great review, like always! The #1 biggest CON of the Newer is it is no longer a pocket camera! That's THE BEST feature of the ZV-1 is it fits in your pocket and when you're ready to go, you Grab it, Pocket it, and GO! I take the ZV-1 everywhere I go. I won't buy the Newer for this #1 CON!!! :(
the Neewer may "look cooler" but it also makes the camera a lot bigger. I bought the ZV-1 because it is a compact camera, but with the Neewer it isn't anymore. with the Ulanzi i can still put it in my pocket at least
Note that with the Ulanzi, if you attach a variable ND, it will cut into the frame a little. That’s annoying. I don’t know if a thinner filter will do the same.
If we want to have a variable ND filter on , what is the ring size of Neewar lens? Please refer a good variable ND filter for purchase from Amazon .. I love your videos man.great work !
Do you feel sony lenses are worth the difference in price compared to Sigma and Tamron? Have you tested a variety of focal length/brand to show the difference? Thank you!!!😊
@@hihellokitty85 I started to think about this as I was editing the video. But I think if I can get the ZVE10 up on a gimbal then the zippy one with the Neewer lens should be just fine
I purchased the Ulanzi when I first got he ZV1 and have had no issues with it whatsoever. My only problem has been finding a case that it will fit into with the lens attached.
My doubt would be if it’s really necessary to have a lens with the ZV-1, I mean, why would I use it? … I am also a beginner and I don’t know if the standard lens is enough or what would be the difference?
One thing I might add is that the Neewer lens does not allow to properly mount the ZV1 on the Zhiyun Crane M2S. The lens is too long and did not allow me to properly calibrate the gimbal. I think the Ulanzi might work better with the M2S since that one seems to still allow proper calibration.
I'm thinking about buying this camera and I'm a bit confused because it seems like you need to have a base mount bracket in order to attach it to a tripod? Does this also interfere with the Neewer?
Hi bought Ulanzi first. He adhesive gave out. I contacted them for more adhesive. They told me they would give me some with my next purchase. I told them I don't have any immediate purchases. Never got a response. Emailed them again no response. Won't do business with them anymore. Bought the neewer 2 weeks ago,so far do good
that stinks when the customer service is bad. I agree don’t do business with them if that’s how they treated you. I think the Neewer is a win-win. Looks like it will hold up overtime as well
I didn't know about the Neewer lens. I have the Ulanzi but that attachment method bugged me so much I never installed it. However, I now have a second ZV-1 for multi-cam setups so I think I might grab the Neewer and have both set up. I also have both a full cage and a half cage so that issue is sorted. Valuable info thanks.
That’s awesome. Yes I would say get the Neewer over the Ulanzi purely for the way they attach. Also I’m not to keen about possible motor issues down the line. I mean I want to show my grandkids and old vintage ZV-1 that still works.
@@thefilmalliance haha if I knew that I wouldn’t need you 😝 actually I would assume But reckon it’s a possibility they don’t but in this era whether it’s in stock is the big issue 😳👍😂
If the camera's microphone captures well and wonderful, then what do I need for a wide lens over the original lens? I imagine that the 24 mm lens is a lens that works by extending the arm
Yeah, the ulanzi lens made it really annoying to take off and put on. I was doing in cabin car vlogs and the wide lens adhesive wouldn't stick after 10 minutes.
Urgent help: I bought the new neewer lens for my zv1. The macro lens is not getting tight. Rather it's circulating. (Unscrewing). The macro lean works fine though. My doubt is, is this a normal operation or I received a faulty product. Please help. My return window closes in 5 days.
If I'm going to install a wide lens other than the camera lens that I originally bought in order to save me space in the bag or because it is small in size, I can put it in my pocket, why don't I keep my camera with a variable lens?
I have a Ulanzi but I'm going to make the switch simply due to the fact that it keeps unpeeling. I can't get the stickers anywhere, and I use a teleprompter, so I can't really work with it anymore.
I think the only use for these adapters is a walk-and-talk, which is why I prefer the Neewer, I don't like the idea of a permanent ring being glued to the rim of the lens
It looks like I’m getting a Neewer then! I have the Ulanzi and love it but taking off weight to the motor feels right. Off topic I have an Atamos and wanted you’re thoughts on recording with this guy bc I know I can get a clean HDMI out. Basically I want more tools, a bigger/brighter screen and have the TB drive recording.
Hi, amazing video! I recently bought the zv1. Can I screw 49 mm filters with the neewer attachment instead of the lens? Thank you very much for helping
@@thefilmalliance it’s an magnetic ring that avoids screwing on and off the Ulanzi plus you won’t have that glue residue. The magnet goes on the zv1 lens(just let it sit for 24 hours before mounting anything) then the other ring(with the red) goes on the back of the Ulanzi which is a 52mm thread I believe. Your Ulanzi lens can be placed on an off when you need it hope it works.
Because you need the cage to change battery/card without removing tripod, the Neewer design is something of a deal breaker, unless (as you mention)) the cage can be modded to fit. I'm certain I do not want the Ulanzi adhesive design... Perhaps a Neewer v2 will fix the problem?
Question, are you carrying a microphone on your shirt when you are out in the woods? I wanted to know if the microphone is responsible for the great sound when you are out or if it is something else :)
After a year , my ulanzi lens came loose. I wanted a lens that would fit exactly like the Neewer because I do product showcases. Plus I wanted a wider field of view so I hope it does just a little better then the Ulanzi
@@thefilmalliance for the most part yes. It's a great camera. It does everything but the lens and menu system need an upgrade.
I was thinking buying the Ulanzi for my Sony ZV-e10 16-50mm but I just don’t buy it because I don’t even shoot with that kit lens. I been stuck with Sony FE f2 28mm lens. I wasn’t happy with the image quality of that kit lens. May be i need to try it again
I got zv-1. I have a rounded image on the sides with ulanzi wide angle. Is it normal? In addition, in 4k 25fps, the video lags even with slow camera movement. Shutter speed 1/50. is that normal too?
I had the Ulanzi lens on my ZV1. While walking in our local theme park the lens just fell off. The adhesive ring just became off the the lens of the ZV 1, and the lens was on the device for about 2 years. Might have to go the Neewer wide angle lens.
Yes, I would def recommend the Neewer lens anyway. It doesn't hurt the motors and it attaches very well to the camera. I'm sorry about your Ulanzi lens, that is a bummer. Do you like your Zv1?
thanks for comparsion video. Also my ulamzi lens stickers keeps falling off this summer. The neewer solution great and the image looks more sharp than ulanzi, I think also can use for my ZV-E10 16-50mm kit lens(24mm same ZV-1 lens) through one 40.5-49mm adaptor! 😀😀😀
Im leaner towards the neewer. However, if i wanna get a lens cover for it(or does it comes with?) or lens hood, should i get 62mm just like for filters? Thanks
Hi, Has anyone had experience with using the Neewer lens on top of the Crane M2, I'm certain it should be ok with regards weight, was just curious if anyone has that set up and confirm it's not too heavy? Thanks

There's another adapter by Zomei, I've seen recommend by some UK channels. Unfortunately it's not available in the US outside of eBay. It's cheaper and lighter than Ulanzi and Newer. Unfortunately it also sticks to the front of the lens like the Ulanzi. However it's not much bigger than a lens filter. The thing I don't like about the Newer, it not only means you lose the full cage but it makes the camera bigger and heavier. Even if you don't use the actual adapter. For my uses I've found it easier to just use a handle or a gimbal to hold the camera out a little further. I do have the mount for the ulanzi attached to my camera but I use it for a variable ND much more than the wide angle adapter.
@@thefilmalliance the only ones I've seen holds a filter to the adapter magnetically. The adapter itself is still stick on. They may exist but I've not actually seen one.

By the way! Love how you captured video to make the circular channel logo into a live logo when shouting out my channel!
Hey there Ryan, Thanks for the nice words. It was such a great idea I couldn't put it to the back burner. Thanks so much for your youtube companionship. Ill have to check out your new channel
Thanks, I thought that would make your comment feel more alive haha, Thanks for picking up on that
Love that you took the time to check out my channel! Appreciate your attention to detail.
Please tell us more!
which Smallrig L-shape bracket did you buy? there are a lot of choices.

@@daknyaz thank you so much! This Sold me on the Neewer Lens!
Been looking into both for some time... Between the look, lack of adhesive and can work as a place to put my left hand... The Neewer is in the lead!
Will the gimbal for Sony ZV1 works together with lens and wide-angle attachment on ? Thank you.
I have both the neewer is just built for the camera better gives it a cleaner fuller look then the Ulanzi quality pretty much the same just depends on your preference really hope that helps anyone 💯💪🏾
i bought the Neewer for the *zv-1f* and it feels like really good glass even on a camera it wasn't initially designed for
i like that with the zv-1f it adds back a degree of optical zoom
Hey Joe, Love the positive vibes and great teachings of these products
Thanks for all the support:)
Thanks, I like to add little twists like that.
Hey Tone, that’s awesome. same here. So far so good. what do you mainly use it for? Making RUclips videos? Vlogging?
@@thefilmalliance yes I use my camera for RUclips videos and a little bit of vlogging! However I do need to get out of my shell and do more Vlog videos
Can you use the macro lens for more zoom from a distance when shooting video
Wow... This video is so helpful. Thanks to your videos about Sony ZV1, I know about wide-angle lenses for my camera. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I have the same camera. So is this Neewer produc compatible, or do I need a separate adapter to make it work?
I like the Neewer lens! I have soo many more options with it to me. Also people think I got a professional looking camera when I tell them the price and the quality it outputs
Yes the Neewer lens makes the ZVone look like it’s a APSC or full frame camera I love the way it looks. Do you leave active stabilization on?
Haha “image” is everything 🤦♂️ everyone thinks I got a Harley but it’s a Kawasaki 125 motocross … nothing personal mate just saying 🤷♂️ If it gives you the results that satisfy you, imho whatever inspires you to do you is all that matters , not what others think 👍 .. and that’s why I dig Joe and the channel! Here’s what can be accomplished with the zv1 👍 idk I think a lot of folk loose focus cuz of that and that I think is why folk forget the zv1 is supposedly made for and marketed at vloging but Joe shows it’s can be much more than just walking around with your phone or GoPro .. sorry 🤷♂️ it’s in me had to come out 🤦♂️😳
@@thefilmalliance it depends on what I’m shooting but major of the time I do use active stabilization. If I have my gimbal with me I turn it off
@@BLUPRINT1LE good info to have thank you
@@rawbsworld6604 exactly! Go pros are good action camera but the ZV is by far the best camera I had. I’m no pro by any means as I does car videos on my RUclips channel but it’s great for family photos and a good starter camera.
You're right, portability is key for the ZV-1.
the Neewer may "look cooler" but it also makes the camera a lot bigger. I bought the ZV-1 because it is a compact camera, but with the Neewer it isn't anymore. with the Ulanzi i can still put it in my pocket at least
Are there any anamorphic options for this camera. I can't find a clear answer anywhere.
Thank you!!!😊
Neewer Wide Angle all the way. I waited & bought it for around $55 during prime day sale.
Yes I agree. wow that’s a great deal. Have you thrown it up on a gimbal?
@@thefilmalliance No, not on a gimbal yet.
Great review Joe. I’ll keep my Ulanzi. Could you do a video on how you go about prepping for a video. Script, or straight shooter!
Hi! Just a quick question: will the neewer work with the zv1f?
I don’t know
Hi, to change the subject have you ever considered comparing Sony lenses to generic lenses? I would love to see such a comparison 😊 Love your reviews!
Ah, good point thank you
I LOVE the straight forward review.
Thanks, which one did you decide on?
@@thefilmalliance definitely the neewer, it’s a bit more dollars but I think it’s worth it in the end.
I'm thinking about buying this camera and I'm a bit confused because it seems like you need to have a base mount bracket in order to attach it to a tripod? Does this also interfere with the Neewer?
I think the neewer is great for the zv1 and the ulanzi with a step up ring is the best and honestly only route for the zv1f.
Looks like it will hold up overtime as well
I agree with you. By the way I really enjoy your videos
@@andyelliott1866 thank you
olá amigo, gostaria de comprar uma lente para minha sony zv1, qual dessas duas lentes voce me indica? obrigado
@@thefilmalliance so once a motor dies the camera is a throw away? 🤔 that’s disturbing thought a motor could be replaced not the whole camera,

Random question idk if it’s stupid, but could we put a 49mm filter between the adapter and macro/wide lens?
I’m not sure about that. Hopefully someone here at FA knows and can respond on their experience
I know that you can put the ulanzi hood on the zv1f with a step up ring, does the same thing apply for the neewer wide angle lens?
Will the neewer lens work for a Sony zv1f
any recommendations for a cage/rig/grip that work ok with this lens?
Sorry I don’t know of one, I get asked this often. Let me know if you ever find one
Thanks for the review. I never purchased the Ulanzi because I didn't want to use glue on my camera. I will have to check out the Neewer.
hi Nadine yes if you don’t want to put that sticky stuff on your camera I would highly recommend the Neewer
Which one had better true colors and less distortion?
Can anyone help can I used either of the on the mark 2. I’m interested in the macro lens.
Hello! Does the Neewer lens matches with the Neewer cage?
Picture quality on the Neewer looks better.
thanks for showing us the comparison. my ulamzi lens stickers keeps falling off because of the heat here in south east Asia.
Urgent help: I bought the new neewer lens for my zv1. The macro lens is not getting tight. Rather it's circulating. (Unscrewing). The macro lean works fine though. My doubt is, is this a normal operation or I received a faulty product. Please help. My return window closes in 5 days.
If I'm going to install a wide lens other than the camera lens that I originally bought in order to save me space in the bag or because it is small in size, I can put it in my pocket, why don't I keep my camera with a variable lens?
forgot to ask about transmission loss? how much you noticed or measured?
I have a Ulanzi but I'm going to make the switch simply due to the fact that it keeps unpeeling. I can't get the stickers anywhere, and I use a teleprompter, so I can't really work with it anymore.
Can you add a filter to the ZV-1 with the ulanzi? Like a CPL?
I don’t know
if you live in a colder place it doesn't have a problem sticking with the stickers of the ulamzi.
You are the best man and my favorite. Thank you sir!
Thanks for the review. However, how about the focus distance? Does these lenses able to shorten the ZV-1 focus distance?
That nake sense and my ulanzi 18mms is a keeper 😍🤟🏻🤟🏻
yes I hear ya and agree. I’m keeping mine. although that neewer one is a great idea
I think the only use for these adapters is a walk-and-talk, which is why I prefer the Neewer, I don't like the idea of a permanent ring being glued to the rim of the lens
I agree to that. Although the Neewer makes it so that it is not pocket friendly anymore. It’s more of a preference thing.
It looks like I’m getting a Neewer then! I have the Ulanzi and love it but taking off weight to the motor feels right. Off topic I have an Atamos and wanted you’re thoughts on recording with this guy bc I know I can get a clean HDMI out. Basically I want more tools, a bigger/brighter screen and have the TB drive recording.
im using the neweer with my cage attached shouldnt be an issue
Hi, amazing video! I recently bought the zv1. Can I screw 49 mm filters with the neewer attachment instead of the lens? Thank you very much for helping
Bought the mag filter and Ulanzi hope it works well
I think you’re the third person to mention this. What is a mag filter? it sounds amazing!
I have a zv1f and I’ve seen that the neewer lens is supposed to work with it can you confirm this?
Because you need the cage to change battery/card without removing tripod, the Neewer design is something of a deal breaker, unless (as you mention)) the cage can be modded to fit. I'm certain I do not want the Ulanzi adhesive design... Perhaps a Neewer v2 will fix the problem?
Yes that is a great point. It is something that I have not figured out yet. Thank you so much for the comment.
Question, are you carrying a microphone on your shirt when you are out in the woods? I wanted to know if the microphone is responsible for the great sound when you are out or if it is something else :)
Yes, I have a mic attached to my shirt. Thank you, thats very nice.
Does anybody know if the Neewer lens fits to the sony rx100 V?
what nd filter would work best with the neewer wide angle lens?
After a year , my ulanzi lens came loose. I wanted a lens that would fit exactly like the Neewer because I do product showcases. Plus I wanted a wider field of view so I hope it does just a little better then the Ulanzi
Yes, I can understand that. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Do you like your Zv?
@@thefilmalliance for the most part yes. I used to own an A6400 and I had the 16-50 kit lens and the 35mm lens but I wasn't ready for an interchangeable lens system when I watched a preview of what the ZV-1 can do I immediately got in under the promo price that came with the Bluetooth stand. It's a great camera. It does everything but the lens and menu system need an upgrade.
When I am using Variable ND filter it produces vignetting. Not sure why. Is that someone else facing the same issues ? Any fix ?
Using the Ulanzi on my ZVE-10 with a step up ring. Works great!
Thats awesome Scott. Thanks for sharing with us.
If you have that nice lens then I say stick with it. you will definitely get a nicer picture out of that lens compared to the kit lens
Does the neewer wide angle lens work for the sony zv-1f ?
Very informative. Going with the Neweer.
I got zv-1. I have a rounded image on the sides with ulanzi wide angle. Is it normal? In addition, in 4k 25fps, the video lags even with slow camera movement. Shutter speed 1/50. is that normal too?
thantk you for your content.
If you have an RX100VII, did you try using on that model? will it fit and operate? I appreciate your answer.
Do you like your Zv1?
nice....i must think of adding lens to my ZV1...thx you
thanks for comparsion video. Also my ulamzi lens stickers keeps falling off this summer. The neewer solution great and the image looks more sharp than ulanzi, I think also can use for my ZV-E10 16-50mm kit lens(24mm same ZV-1 lens) through one 40.5-49mm adaptor! 😀😀😀
Great video i wonder if theres a zv2 coming any time soon?
Im leaner towards the neewer. However, if i wanna get a lens cover for it(or does it comes with?) or lens hood, should i get 62mm just like for filters? Thanks

I'm not sure but I think it should
I have the ulanzi lens and it fell off after maybe a month of using it and I was disappointed. I will be getting the neewer lens 😊

Hey there, I heard someone tell me that they make a magnetic adapter. Have you heard of that?
@@thefilmalliance the only ones I've seen holds a filter to the adapter magnetically. The adapter itself is still stick on. They may exist but I've not actually seen one.
