To anyone who defends that statue, here's a little bit of history. For context, I live in Charlottesville. I played in that park when I was younger, and I drive past it every day. That statue was put there in 1927. A whole 60 years after Lee was a part of the Confederacy. It was made by a company that mass-produced those statues that happened, strictly coincidentally, at the same time that the Klan was rising. The city has absolutely no connection to the Confederacy or the Cival War in general, with the exception of a small skirmish that occurred at Rio Hill. The only reason that statue is there is as an intimidation tactic against African-Americans made back in the 20's. It's an outdated relic that doesn't have a place in this city, so we voted to get rid of it.
Also, bonus fact, that statue is made of inferior metals, and would actually break if you put your full weight on it. Even the people who MADE THE FUCKING STATUE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT IT.
Don’t forget general Lee himself didn’t want statues or confederate flags and didn’t allow them at the school he was president of after the war.

So in the end, no one won... It was a gigantic clusterfuck

The only problem you have with the concept of "white privilege" is the fact that you just made everything all about you. "Me me me me me" did you ask what struggles your uber driver has had? Did you consider that even if you have had a bbc remarkably difficult life, most white people have it pretty good?
I've never had a negative interaction with the police that was directed at me. When I was a teenager, hanging out in the park with my friends, police never asked me why I was loitering. But one time I was crossing a street and a guy turning right didn't see me at first, he had to slam on the breaks, but didn't even come close to hitting me. A police officer was behind him, and immediately turned on his lights and sirens. He pulled the guy over, then jumped out of his car pointing his gun at guy and yelling for him to put his hands out of window. I don't think it's a coincidence that the driver being treated with that much aggression was a young Hispanic Male. I also saw police questioning hispanic teenagers for hanging out in a park near a highschool!
I am privileged to have never been pulled over for a "routine check". I am privileged to have come from an upper middle class family, where I was encouraged to work in highschool and save that money for college, unlike many people I know whose income from working fast food or babysitting as teens went to help support their families. I am privileged to have come from a family where I was given the opportunity to live at home rent free throughout college. I am privileged to have come from a family where basic expenses like car tires that would have been hard for a college student to cover could be a Christmas present from mom and dad. I am privileged to have had a stay at home mom who had the time to teach me how to sew, cook, bake, garden, and budget. Do anything of these privileges mean I am lazy or haven't worked hard? Of course not. I'm been responsible, hardworking, and diligent. I busted my butt working full-time and attending grad school three hours away fulltime. I was careful with my money, and always studied hard and got good grades. I sacrificed by living far away from my family for years, where I got a bigger salary and the cost of living was lower. I made good choices. But I am still privileged. I am 30 years old, debt free, with a nice little savings in the bank and have a master's degree, again, with no student loans. That's an accomplishment, and I'm proud of it, but when I meet someone who has $40,000 in student loans, and I struggling to pay them off, instead of judging them for not being debt free like me, I have a little compassion and keep in mind that their circumstances were probably very different from mine.

do you know? cos i did some googling but it's usually just individual leaders compared to each other, like stalin vs hitler for example. besides, nazism was employed in only one nation while communism as a whole was attempted in many, and each leader tried to change it (eg. stalinism, maoism, etc) so they might not even be communism. communism is a flawed ideology but it's heart is in the right place with ideas of egalitarianism + sharing whereas you know, nazis wanted literal genocide

And if you were to compare Nazi Germany to just Russia or China on their own, both countries would still dwarf Germany in terms of their kill counts.
