There's a group for Thesz on Facebook where one of his sons interacts sometimes. I remember him saying one time when asked if he wanted to be a wrestler like his dad, he responded that Lou always encouraged his children to find what they did well and to enjoy life and work.
Lou's great-grandson is named after him too, Aloysius.

There are listings for a Robert Thesz and a Patrick Thesz on LinkedIn and a couple of IMDB credits for a Jeff Thesz. No guarantee any are Lou Thesz's children. However, I did come across some sad news. One of his grandchildren (Jeff's son, Louis Jeffrey Thesz) died in what may have been a construction accident, October 18th, 1999, age 26. Lou, Fredda and Jeff were alive at the time.

I broke into the business late 80s/early 90s originally under Samoan Samu and Gary Albright along w/ Kokina... later I trained with Billy Robinson for UWFi... there were photos of Takada wearing Lou's belt in the dojo they had stateside in Murfreesboro/Nashville Tenn... I trained there with Gino Caruso, Damien Stone/Little Guido, Gene Lydick and Billy Scott... Shenji Sasasaki was there also.

In his book he mentions a few matches that got a little off-script, requiring him to lay down the law. One example was Ralph (Ruffy) Silverstein, who had been a Big Ten collegiate champ. Another was some huge goon in India who he knocked out with a Greco-Roman backdrop. Behind the scenes he had training sessions as a young man with George Tragos, Ad Santel and Joe Stecher, Thesz freely admits that Santel and Stecher could get the better of him.

Curtis later went to the pros and did say every time he took Thesz down or seemed like he had the advantage he would get caught in a submission.
