I live in Nashville Tennessee, have all my life. I went to wrestling events here as a kid when they were having shows in the fair grounds in a white building, I have pictures of myself as a kid with the Rockin Roll Express Bill Dundee, Jamie Dundee, Moon dogs. Never got a picture with Jerry Lawler but I do remember as a kid when I was near ringside, he was doing his spot to Tommy Rich I believe by hitting his head on the gate he said, said back up a bit son so you won't get hit. Great memories!!
i recently moved there in 2018 ♤
I hope your democrats and not child bride loving republicans from tn!!
I agree with Jim. I find all this so fascinating. My hometown is West Memphis, AR. I grew up watching wrestling every Saturday morning back in the late 70’s through the 80’s. Also got to attend many Monday nights at the Mid-South Coliseum. Great memories, and again, I love learning more and more about the history of the territory before I was born.
Corny needed this palate cleanser after having to review backstage donnybrooks, people going into business for themselves and hours of media scrums. And we needed it too. Thanks, Corny.
Eddie Gilbert, Tommy rich, Doug Gilbert, The fabulous ones and the midnight express
A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can't go anywhere until you change it
Goats are like mushrooms, because if you shoot a duck, I'm afraid of toasters.
Man who goes through airport turnstile sideways is going to Bangkok.
Thats BS
London Kentucky loves ya
So glad Jim got back in touch with Weasel Dooley
Can't believe they let Jim do the artwork for this video
Made me chuckle. 🤣🤣
I can remember the Rockin Roll Express as a kid watching them in Morristown,TN
i spent a good portion of my childhood in knoxville and have recently been living in nashville. id love to read a book on the history of wresrling in the area
Yeah I'm going to have to get this book now, you just sold a book to me Jim.
Love hearing about the stud (welch/fuller)

More classic wrestling
-less politics
-less reviews of meaningless modern wrestling
-More classic wrestling
So in short, More classic wrestling boys. Inject it in my veins, thank you.
Change less politics to more and it would be right.

Everybody gather round. This is gonna be good.

I have always lived in Winchester Tennessee I was a young teenager in the '80s I can say I was glued to Memphis wrestling ever Saturday without fail. Great memories
1:00 TWAAHHHT, not TWOT
We have to stay sharp on our wrestling history!
Well those of us who kept saying what a creep Devon Nicholson aka Hannibal were proven right. He was locked up in jail for assault on a woman. He was just released to his parents lol a 40 year old man supervision. The goober also cancelled a show he was promoting at the last second and stiffed all that bought a ticket , which was probably 20 people but still. We kept saying there was something off with this guy and for women to steer clear.
I need mister Last...to mover a little faster...with the drop's....news has been moving fast the last couple of weeks 💯🙏👏

TN wrestling was great in its prime. I still have all the stuff that's available from Memphis and most of the Smoky mountain stuff. Love it. I'm not going to lie and say it's Bill Watts or Jim Crockett level but it was really good.
It's funny because you can tell Brian was only half ass listening. He's usually not like that.
I wonder if nuns will be offended by this podcast.
Happy Friday, friends.
ahh yeah now it's time for the good stuff thank you Jim thank you Brain.
This is the Jim Cornette i want to hear more of. Growing up in Australia i never got to see any of the territories and need people like Cornette to keep these stories alive
"And i asked Jeff. Why is Vince Russo on the show ? And he did the Tennessee two step around the question" - Jim Cornette
I prefer more of this. Whether you like or dislike todays product, listening to Corny is almost like a Trump ralley "Im right your wrong, all the silly nicknames and sing alongs". NOBODY knows more about wrestling history than Corny and ill sit for hours listening to him talk about the old days and not modern times.
Thats why i go back and listen to the old Drive Thrus and Experiences because he talked classic wrestling and did interviews with so many legends.
Trump rallies draw more than current wrestling
Wouldn’t review Sheamus and Gunther as we speak tells me all I need to know.
He honestly thinks his audience gives a F about Tennessee wrestling. Look at how dead the video views are when he talks about this stuff
@@AlexanderMacAoidh I'm in TN n I feel biased .. but I am wanting to hear this
@@AlexanderMacAoidh don't care about what's going on in wrestling now. I haven't watched WWE in at least ten years
@@AlexanderMacAoidh This is actual wrestling history. Current crap is going to be popular no matter what.
There are tons of marks who get together to do weekly WWE/AEW review shows, and they get hundreds of thousands of clicks. But that stuff isn't nearly as interesting.
this is from last weekend, before castle & all out
if you want the newest stuff listen to the podcasts
youtube is just the side gig
Jim and his "statute of limitations".
Jim and his "inflation calculator".
Jim and his "world series" comparisons.
This is like professor Corny's greatest hits.
Those of you who say you could listen to Jim read the phone book here you go. This isn't far off. I for one can't take it.

Modern wrestling sucks old school wrestling is a lot better and Jim's knowledge of old school wrestling is Absolutely fascinating Jim's the best and I get smarter every day because of these podcasts thanks Jim and Brian.
History repeats itself. Read a book.
It doesn't. It's just written that way.
