Hard to beat the big gold belt, winged eagle and IC belt from late 80s to 90s.
Even Attitude Era kids will usually admit that these three are the best.
I never really like any attempt to "modernize" a belt. It should look like something passed down from generation to generation.
If belt was so good they made it the belt again in the 2010s for like 9 years

The Winged Eagle and Big Gold Belt will always be my 2 favorites.
I say the one after the Winged Eagle, the WWF Championship belt from 1998-2001. The Winged Eagle belt was too small for me. But that belt I mentioned and WCW's Big Gold are the best belts I've seen.

I loved the 2002 WWE Championship design before the spinners. Simple black and gold greatness.

It had some fun variations with Edge and Miz and more than served its purpose. My tastes have evolved since I was a child and I like the prior iteration better.

The big gold belt from ‘86 will always be my favorite. But the NWA 10 pounds of gold is an awesome belt as well.

I always loved the classic 3 WWF belts: the Winged Eagle, the IC title, and the World Tag that Demolition and the Hart Foundation held.
The OG dual-plated winged eagle & dual plate tag are fantastic looking belts

I thing that was so cool about them is that each one had a very distinct and unique design unlike other promotions belts.
Reggie Parks was the man when it came to making belts. Other belt makers like Millican, JMar, BeltFanDan, they just don't compare. I'm sure they'd tell you the same thing. He really was the King of Belts. He is sorely missed.
Big gold and the white strap IC title for sure are heat
White strap IC is my fall time personal favorite. Love the design, and it was attached to a lot of my favorite wrestlers and matches from the 90s.

I always liked the NWA belts. The blue leather tag titles, us tag titles, big gold belt, red leather television title, US title I really liked all their designs because they were all different

The Big Gold belt was my favorite one , it just felt like if your going to be world champion that belt you want to wear
Always loved the NWA international heavyweight champion it always looked like the heavyweight title that Mike Tyson carried. It later became part of AJPW triple crown title

The original version looks better than the WWE version. I still think of Booker T when I see that belt.

I always liked seeing the NWA United States tag team titles. I remember seeing the Steiners with those on TV when I was a kid.
Same, I'm a big fan of all the Crockett and WCW US belts.
Too bad Billy Corgan turn the NWA US Tag Titles into a belt full of American Flags. Very Patriotic for a lower tier belt to the World Tag Titles of the NWA.
Winged Eagle, WCW Big Gold Belt, and the Undisputied Title held by Eddie and Brock were some of my all-time favorites.
I don't care for the way the belts look now, but there was always something about the NXT North American Belt that I found fascinating. Mainly cause it looked so different than any other belt on NXT, Raw, and Smackdown.
That Undisputed belt was a perfect blend of the Big Gold & WWE titles. Shame it wasn't used longer.
I actually like the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Belt and think others would like it more if half of their other belts didn’t look the same

Pretty sure the WHC belt also inherited the WCW World title (and thus the NWA World title belt's) history, which means that's the same belt that Dusty wanted to win and the one Cody needs to win to 'finish the story'-- today it's the WWE Title

A very underrated belt is the Undisputed WWE title that Eddie and Brock had.
I started watching wrestling right around that time and I loved that belt.
That and the big gold belt are the best ones. 2002-2005 had the best belts.

Big Gold is a beauty! I lean more toward Big Eagle (biased because it was the top championship belt in my youth), but Winged Eagle represents prestige and greatness.

I loved how WCW would always talk about how Big Gold went all the way back to George Hackenschmidt (if you kind of ignore that Big Gold stopped being the NWA belt but somehow kept the lineage.)
They could make that claim. Since the actual lineage kept going even after WCW withdrew from the NWA. While the NWA would have to footnote their record to include vacancies.
EDIT: Of course the WCW lineage leads to David Arquette. So....
The IWGP Heavyweight Championship belt between '08 and '21. Amazing belt and NJPW brass retiring it was a crime.

Even though I started watching mid 2000s I always liked the look of the NWA television championship.
The U.S. title that Barry Windham wore in 88-89 was a good one.
The NWA tv title with the red is the greatest belt ever..winged eagle is amazing too!
I always liked that one silver AWA belt that looks like a sort of prototype to the WCW Big gold.
The Stan Hansen belt is what I like to call it.
But I prefer the awa belt that Lawler had.

The white IC and the IWGP Heavyweight title always come to mind for me personally.
Especially the latest IWGP Heavyweight Title before they changed it to the current belt was an absolute beauty. Hope they bring it back one day 🤞🏻
The "Crowned" Continental Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Title is my favorite...truly amazing!
My favorites:
1 The Original Big Gold that Flair showed off to Tony on World Championship Wrestling.
2. The Hogan '86 belt (the one he had at WrestleMania 3).
3. The NWA TV title (loved all the networks on it )
4. The Randy Savage intercontinental championship (with the red WWF logo on it)
5. The NWA US belt.
6. Personal favorite: the Alabama Heavyweight title that Adrian Street used when he wrestled in Continental (it had a pink strap. It was such a heat magnet that I always wondered what they did with it. Would love to get it recreated.)

Big Gold and Winged Eagle are in their own league. The true 1A and 1B of great belts. Anybody who puts territory belts over those two needs to take off their nostalgia goggles

Which old wwf belt?
Liked the ECW World Title (3rd Version ) which i have bought off ebay . The Smokin Skull belt from WWF Attitude Era was cool . Also liked the ECW World TV Title (2nd Version ) and also liked the look of the CZW World Title (2nd Version ) and the FMW World Brass Knuckles Title which looks like the NWA World Title but in place of the NWA globe theres a fist with Brass Knuckles on it . There was another version of that title made up but it wasn't to Onita's liking but they used it for the Independent World Title which was later unified therefore the creation of the Double Titles in FMW .
My favourite belt of all time is the big gold belt. It doesn't matter which version. They all look like they would belong next to the British crown jewels at King Charles III’s coronation. I am pleasantly surprised that Brian said he likes the ''Big Green'' belt. It's probably my favourite WWE championship design but it's an unpopular choice. I don't often see that particular belt getting a lot of love online.
I liked the Intercontinental Belt from the 1990s that Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart had. I also like the IWGP World Heavyweight belt that Okada had in 2017. The NWA TV title that Steve Austin had was cool with the TV stations logos on the side plates, and the Million Dollar Title was also quite nice.
Always liked the yellow intercontinental belt Warrior had.
I loved the Undisputed Title from 2002. I might’ve been the only one.
You're not. I loved that belt too. It's the best looking belt the WWE had since the Winged Eagle one.
My favorite is the WWWF belt held by Bruno, Graham, Backlund. NWA dome and big Gold also looked great.
Another cool one is the Mid-South North American title. Gigantic main plates and the largest side plates I've ever seen on a strap. Pictures of Magnum TA and Butch Reed holding it made it look like a 'no nonsense' title and though some may think it's too blocky/square, I like that it came across as unique amongst other territorial belts of the early/mid-1980s.
Never been a big belt guy, but the only belt I've ever truly loved was the big gold belt. You can know nothing about wrestling or combat sports and still know that it's a major championship belt based solely on it's appearance
I've always liked the classic NWA Domed Globe that was worn by Race, Funk, Flair, Rhodes, etc. And, I'll admit, I'm also a sucker for the WWE Spinner Belt from the John Cena era.
Winged Eagle is my fave, reminds me of Bret Hart, Michaels, Austin, Taker, Macho Man and Hogan. The Attitude era one was a more streamlined but similar design that gets second place. Undisputed and the mid 90's Intercontinental Title was also nice.

The Winged Eagle belt, big eagle belt, classic IC belt , NXT UK belt , NWA world tag belt those are some of my favorite.
My all time favorite is the Hulk Hogan one with the flags on it (1986 ish)

The AWA World Belt that Rick Martell had was a nice one. The Belt that Carlos Colon had, the Universal Belt was a great one too

I gotta say I like how Tony handles his belts. I appreciate the women’s title being modeled after mid south title, as well as the roh world and tag titles featuring jay briscoe on the side plates.
Jim will never give AEW credit for anything. They had one bad looking belt, (TNT) and Jim capitalized and shit on it
They just have entirely too many belts, in both companies but especially AEW. They're far superior to the WWE titles though. Aside from the "hos" title lol. Really I don't care for the TNT title or Trios titles either. The only WWE belt that isn't an eyesore right now is the IC title
The NXT UK belt was amazing. The IWGP title (before they made the new 1 that was given to Ibushi) was great too. Those are recent ones that should be discussed.
The current GHC Heavyweight Title by NOAH is basically NOAHs version of the IWGP v4(before the current one) belt so by default it's so good looking, better than current IWGP one.

I agree. The WWE men's and women's look like crap compared to the NXT U.K. belt.
@@ramjet637 shows what happens when they don’t use uniform championships. If they only had 1 like the WWE/Universal/women’s titles, it would be fine. Every title looking exactly the same is bad. The U.S. title is easily WWEs best belt now.

I gotta say the Jack Brisco red velvet NWA World Title is one of my personal favorites.
I personally like the flashier WWE US Championship.

I know we're mostly talking about major belts, but the WWF European championship has always been my favourite belt design.
Loved how colourful it was while also having a somewhat classy european look with the font and flags.
The big gold belt that Flair took with him when he went to WWF in the early 90's was the best looking belt to me.
The old big gold belt will always be number 1 for me but I legitimately believe the NWA championships looked the best also was a big fan of the wwe championship from 02-05

Or IC belt when it was white or yellow.
My all time favorite was the 70’s NWA Mid-Atlantic version of the U.S. title. It was red leather with a the large gold U.S. in center. Blackjack Mulligan was the holder of that belt the first time I saw it.
So many to choose from. The NWA “Domed Globe” WHC, the NWA TV, the ‘90s-‘00s NWA WTT, the WWF ‘86-‘88, WWF “Winged Eagle”, the WWF/WWE ‘02-‘05 undisputed, the never used André belt, WWF WTT ‘85-‘02, WWF IC (both the ‘80s-‘90s and ‘90s-‘00s belts). There’s just so many that I like.
The WWE US Title (‘03-‘20), The World Heavyweight Title (The Big Gold Belt), The WWE Championship (‘98-‘02) and The WCW World Tag Team Titles (‘97-‘01)
I love the Andre '87 belt that Bobby introduced on Primetime Wrestling. It's basically Hogan's belt, but gigantic and tweaked to perfection. I'd love to know why it was commissioned, as Andre was never supposed to win it
I also like how the late, great Rowdy Roddy Piper said he would have it fitted for Andre if he beat Hogan.

@@p.d.l7023 Probably. But making proper belts is expensive and time consuming, especially back then. It had to be requested months in advance. It feels like there's an untold story there.
@@KyotoWhiskers There was some doubt that Andre would actually job and might decide not to. The Giant belt was a perfect way to build heat and uncertainty as well as be a viable belt for someone that size if he actually won

My favorite is the WWF Winged Eagle. the WCW Big Gold belt is a very close 2nd.
I love this topic. My favorites were the NWA United States belts (both single and tag team). The NWA big gold belt that Ric Flair wore was and still is the world championship standard in title belts.

My favorite belts: NWA tag team titles, early 80's version, Big Gold Belt, 1986-2015, WWE championship, Winged Eagle, Domed IC title, and US title WCW version.
In my opinion the NXT UK belt looks awesome. The NWA tag team titles remind me of the five dollar gold coin from the 1880s, absolutely beautiful.

BIG GOLD, edge and batista feuding over it was my favorite wresting memories. Still got my replica i paid like 500$ for
Winged Eagle, and the big gold are my favorites. The big eagle from the attitude era is underrated and had grown on me over the years
My favorite belt was the Hogan 84-85 belt the same one he wore at Wrestlemania 1 and the A-Team.
I love the name, "winged eagle."
"So there'll be an eagle on it?"
"Yes."
"And the eagle will have wings?"
"Oh yes, yes. Big yes."
My favorite has got to be the white strap IC championship (though I agree with the decision to retire it). Though, in my opinion a close runner up has always been the Raw Tag Team championship. I absolutely love the spartan design and the ornamentation around it. However, at no point has it ever been my favorite because I didn’t like the bronze plates when it was first introduced and I’m not a fan of the red strap now. If it was silver or gold with a black strap it would easily be my favorite though.
The NWA "10 Pounds of Gold" will always be my favorite belt. Second is the IC belt that Randy Savage had.
The Mid-South NA Heavyweight belt and the NWA International Heavyweight championship are my favorites.
Previous IWGP Heavyweight champion with all the name plates was great. I have a soft spot for the previous WWE US belt. Dragon Gate in Japan has some interesting belt gimmicks and names, they're very Saturday morning cartoon, but they work for me.

I have 2...The Big Gold NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and the Domed NWA Ten Pounds of Gold.
My favorites: Big Gold, NWA Domed Globe, the World Class Heavyweight belt (the one Kerry, Al Perez, & Jerry Lawler held), NWA US title (the 1986-1990 version...Magnum/Nikita/Luger/Windham), NWA TV title (Crockett era), IWGP Title (the version before the current one). I kinda liked the AWA/USWA Lawler belt too.

My favorite belts have been (in no particular order): the Big Gold belt, the NWA United States '86, the NWA Television '86, the NWA Tag Team '87, the Hogan '86 belt, the Winged Eagle, WWF Tag Team '85, WWF Intercontinental '86, AEW World title.
The NWA Television Title Belt is a personal favorite. I also loved The NWA World Tag Titles with the raised fronts.

My favorites are the Winged Eagle, Old school Reggie Parks IC, WCW United States Belt, WCW/NWA big gold, WWF Undisputed Championship Belt.
The thez belt was used in 90’s in the UWFI shoot promotion! Vader even won it in 94/95!

Of the recent ones Daniel Bryan’s eco warrior WWE belt looked surprisingly nice considering it was a troll move
It was a great, ingenious belt. One of the best ideas in modern wrestling and it would have brought a lot of heat in the past.

Still a fan of the Million Dollar Belt that Ted DiBiase had in the late 80s/early 90s. It was used for one of the best face turns for the Big Boss Man in early 1990.
There was no mention of the custom Conrad Thompson Championship Belt.
I think the old NWA domed globe with the national plates running around it is my favourite.
My Personal Favorites are the Mid-South North American Heavyweight, the WWE Undisputed/SmackDown Heavyweight, the USWA Unified World Heavyweight (1988-90), the NWA United National Heavyweight (All-Japan) & the Stampede North American Heavyweight
My favorite old belt was the Mid-South North American belt.
That's a huge belt.
The Big Gold Belt that Ric Flair had in the mid 80s. And Mid South’s North American Title was the belt that looked like a champion’s belt.
