Obviously your audience is made up of musicians and knowledgeable fans. I am a toddling apprentice of caribbean percussion but being Bach the Bach that he is you cannot help but wonder due to his imposing presence. So I try to keep time on the recordings, strict time, focusing on my technique and production of tone and still it grabs you. You try to speed off on the tempo not falling off and, well , blah, blah. But coming across the marimba performances, all very good is like geting a new window opened. Yours, for someone like me who cannot follow the subtleties inside the music due to lack of knowledge, has turned it into and act of compassion for it makes it sound very accesible. Who knows? Thank you.
