thanks, great video easy to follow. have u heard anything about bambu labs releasing a new firmware update or them talking about it that will kill the xtouch an panda touch from working with printers that update the firmware? i really hope not, ive really been enjoying my p1s and ams and had planned on replacing a bunch of my other printers with bambu machines but if they plan to go out an actively work against the community from being able to use something like the x touch or panda touch displays just cause they dont offer anything themselves its just hard for me to back them, really wish they would come out an make a statement on if they are planning to do so cause if so i dont like it an it will help me with my decision on the next machine im going to buy. thanks again for sharing.
I am not even remotely a fan of Bambu Lab. I'll leave it there. BTT has a request out to Bambu for access to their API, in order to avoid this kind of problem, as well as expand functionality. I suspect Bambu won't even respond. We'll see how it plays out. At the moment, it's very cool, especially for $60

Thanks, I couldn't connect for some reason. Figured I'd update the thing. Still didn't work. I had the wrong serial number typed in and printer IP address changed. Input the correct S/N and set reserve address so that won't change again and got the updated firmware. Weird thing is the Panda Touch says it has an IP address but doesn't show up on my router as online. It's there but says offline even though it is working with the printer.
Have you tried connecting to a different wifi, such as Mobile Hotspot, to see if kicks it out of this stuck situation?
@@3DRundown It was just delayed by unknown anomaly. Haven’t had that happen with anything else. I got a notification of new device connected like 20 min later and that was it. Now it shows online. I have mesh network. But I set it static in settings while it showed offline. Constrained to closest access point no roaming. And locked to 2.4 Ghz.
thx for the video. And if u accidentally have pressed "Back" after the first file u can see on the panda touch acreen maybee a new IP Adress wich u can input in your browser and go on with the procedure
Yea, just go back the IP and you'll be ok. Don't ask me how I know....
update freezes every-time or fails with [HTTP ERROR] Bad Request. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm guessing you've hit the same snag that I had. The right-click menu to save a file from a link doesn't work as one may expect. Instead, click the link as normal, click the three-dot button (more file actions) button at the upper left, then click "download". The file size should be around 1.7MB instead of the weirdly small 145KB. Same thing for the rest of the files. Hope that proves useful.
I had no issues at all. You can see me click download in the Video, and Google Chrome shows the little Yellow Arrow, indicating it downloaded.
Can you download the firmware on computer and drop on USB be and update from usb ?
I think not, as it waits at a prompt for the IMG file

Had the second working of panda touch on my p1s hit scan and I think i killed it ? 😢

@@3DRundown I hooked up to my computer 🖥️ and it is working on battery mode and in sync with my p1s . My concern is now after an hour I try to hook to the printer it self, any thoughts Gregg ?
@@3DRundown update I tried putting it on the machine it was ok but the it went to sleep in battery mode . I tried setting it to 5v and tap it but the display wouldn’t come one. It’s fine hook up to the computer 🖥️

Not sure. It only lasts 30 min
