Thank you for the ride a long I can't wait when I can go get my CDL license and try to join waste management around my area and have a career. ;D that's the day I will sob like a baby finally knowing I made it in life :D
The most job experience I have is dish washing and that doesn't play the bills well or I can never get more than like 30 hours a week It's real tough. As well on your body and mind, Garbage truck driving looks like a great job for me.
Makes it easier when you're actually in a cab over in a seat, sit up higher off the ground where you can see everything unlike the dualdsterring wheel ASL trucks Internationals 7600 models where you are standing up driving
Your lucky lol my customer will definitely complain about there lids being open. But it’s good seeing from someone els I do it day in and day out and do about 890 houses a day
Varies. If I can grab it w/ the arm (personal cans, cardboard box w/ trash in it) $3. If I pull the brake and have to reload the cart or pick up stuff from driveway or yard, $5. Really bad piles can go up... Usually comes out to $5 every time I fill the cart and tip it and there's times I've reloaded a cart 4 to 5 times. At that point, I'm more a personal janitor for their lot than the guy that tips the trash cart. Something to keep in mind, we are a private company so increased time and weight does increase our operating costs.
Operator is a PRO! I sold ASLs for 15 years, and in all that time I still could not operate the arm with any competence! I could knock over a can with the best of them, though!
Just starting driving freightliner econic with newway body asl right hand drive only mirrors are flipped spot mirror is on top of flat mirror having hard time lining cans up with arm please help with and video would be nice or anyone got any suggestions
I'm in an autocar python but with the mirrors you probably should pan the mirror out when youre servicing carts to see the cart and arm better. My mirrors are almost the same as in the video just take your time and as you go adjust your mirrors till you find the right position that works best for your cab
I wish I had that level of cart compliance. I have so many idiots that insist on touching the cans together

What type of camera are you using? I love the wide angle view.
Insta 360... can't remember if it was x3 or the R since we are using both.
Sanitation workers are some of the best drivers… BIAS coming from a side loader as well
Kan you make more video of this
When you charge extra for garbage on the ground, how much is it?

How many times on average a day do you have to dump it?

Always drive on defense not offense a great defense will beat a great offense everytime
Which mirror are you using to line up cans? Big mirror or convex
Convex mirror on top
You're sitting the cans back down with the lid open.
I'd ride along with you! ☺️❤️

100 stops an hour ??
With the right density, yes, 100+ stops an hour is done.
Two stops a minute would be 120 per hour which doesn't sound hard if you got every home.
Yup I can do 200 an hour
