I like how, for the longest time in the video, the mathematician, with a triangle pointing up, was at the top, and the cult leader, with a triangle pointing down, was at the bottem
@silverfoxeater One thing can have more than two opposites. As a top-of-my-head example, the opposite of "Maybe" could be either "definitely yes" or "definitely no". So I think we would name the phenomenon that Daniel Levitz is describing (the opposite of an anti-climax) as something other than "climax" because, in this context, climax already means something else. (Denouement also means something else in a similar way) I would call it something like an explosion, an anti-anticlimax, or something else entirely.
28:25 I love the fact that the Storyteller described it as "the cult of not Nicky", that got a good chuckle out of me. I also had a good chuckle over 1:24:04
Me, as the game continues: "Man, we are going to have an interesting game on our hands." Boy was I more right than I expected. When Chris was saying he got 0 the first time, my gut feeling was he was evil bluffing Cannibal and I was waiting for Ben to get a BINGO so we could figure out how...but then when he did, I thought DA seemed possibly unlikely? Usually DAs at least trigger once but it is possible to just be unlucky, or purposefully fail so you can hide. Kat was so charismatic, though. She didn't share General info but if I were Ben, I would've 100% trusted her.
The funniest thing for me is, this isn't the first time I've seen the Assassin kill the demon. Once was when a Fang Gu jumped to an outsider who the assassin then killed, and another like this game, where the assassin killed a newly created leech host.
So I probably watched this a month ago, but today it ended up replaying after the BotC video I was watching before this. I was like something is very familiar about this game, wasn't until the Amnesiac ability bingo did I remember that I had watched this before. I watch to many of these videos.
Right?!?!?! This is why I was so convinced that Ben was either pukka poisoned or leech host after he got the "warm". What's the point in kmowing a letter when that letter can mean so kany characters!!
Spoiler: Killing Aggie means deaths were still arbitrary? Or, did the Assassin kill force the demon's choice to go through? I just thought of a good amne ability. "Please choose a player." [Choice] Respond with "me", "we", "me / we", or silence ("thank you").
@@moth.03 It's changed a little - now I don't have "me / we", it's one or the other, and I choose which one ahead of time: [Me-We] Each night, choose a player. You learn an antonym (the opposite) of a word in their ability. [you=me, they=we] If both are present, I will eliminate the one that is more numerous among abilities, until the "me"s and "we"s are as equal as possible, and try to get equal numbers between possible demons, possible minions, etc. (The ideal is 2 demon "me"s and 2 demon "we"s, so an Amne still can't narrow it down completely. Also, it's good to have plenty of Towns that match the demons. If all demons are "we", hopefully there are plenty of Town bluffs that won't contradict them.)
Clocktower is a hard game, there is a lot of moving parts, interesting interactions and odd edge cases. Don't worry about sounding like a noob, most everybody who tries to parse this game was a noob at some point.
That's okay, questions are how you learn! Even very good players are constantly asking questions about the game mechanics, and every player has asked a load of pretty basic questions before so it's not at all unusual
Role: Demon Hunter (Townsfolk) The Demon Hunter will swap roles with an alive townsfolk going clockwise every night. If the Demon Hunter is next to the Demon, next night the Demon dies.
@@eggyolk6735 Or we can have the storyteller roll a D6. Let's say the ST rolls a 4, the Demon Hunter will swap roles with the 4th person in clockwise. If the 4th person is not a townsfolk or a dead player then the swap fails for that night.
"I could have but this is way funnier."- All the justification a game master needs for their decisions.
The funniest thing is, evil was probably winning that game until double agent Nadine massacred the entire team

That grimoire reveal at the end was jaw dropping. Also, really fun and satisfying amnesiac ability!
whats the opposite of anticlimax? like, all the suspence is suddenly cut short, but in a VERY enjoyable and satisfying way?
A denouement?

I’ve never been so blindsided. My lord, what a phenomenal ending!
Ahhh, that game! It was all going so well, right up until it... Wasn't. 😹
This has to be one pf my favorite clocktower games ever. So entertaining. Evil got lucky with those bluffs!!

I really enjoyed watching this one live. Didn't think this game would be enjoyable to spectate but I really love these videos

"I'll let Chris decide" ***STAB*** - LOL
I think I picked the wrong game to fall asleep for an hour in the middle of, but hooray good team good job I guess!
ngl i need someone to explain everything that happened again at the end like sport commentators analyse games
St could have rescued the Evil team, but they didn't deserve help, since they were super winning otherwise
What is it with ST giving amnesiac's really lame abilities? That ability would have sucked even if Ben was told what it was night one.
Right?!?!?! This is why I was so convinced that Ben was either pukka poisoned or leech host after he got the "warm". What's the point in kmowing a letter when that letter can mean so kany characters!!
I saw this on Twitch, what a fun game!
I really want to play this game, wont get much chance until I am on a holiday from work
What has happened to Edd? Haven't seen him on the channel in ages.
hello past me from the stream, this was insane to watch live and the ending was insane
So you basically told most of the evil team what your Bingo was and refused to tell the good ones to not spread it around. Nice.
BONKERS.

changing the demon meant deaths are arbritrary, however the assassin bypasses this and kills no matter what
