I want to use this on a surface grinder.
I need a continuous movement from forward and backward on each stroke.
The forward and reverse Connection will be activated at the end of each stroke.
Can the motor handle this? Or need I anything else?

Hi perzona
Motor operation is most efficient when connected in delta.
Also you can receive more torque from you Motor in Delta connection.
To minimize start up or inrush current that causes stress on the Motor winding insulation and rotor parts.
We use star/Delta starters to minimize this start up current.
Since star connection of the Motor coils uses 30% of start up current compared to 60% used by Delta.
Motor is started in star for a few seconds then runs in Delta.
