And here I am, DM was the second cruiser line I grinded and instead bought the Salem and instead to the DM I bought the Annapolis... I need silver, badly!
@@creasycat In theory you can play your salem somewhat the same way i showed here but you will feel the lack of hydro and much shorter radar... Annapolis sadly won't earn you credits too... If you need some urgently check your inventory tab (press your name in port) you can sell useless camos and stock modules. For long term try getting yourself ships with bonus pack above tier VIII. Like the ones for coal or steel.Also some collections can give free bonus packs like the hunt for bismarck that gives it for well... bismarck. For 10k steel you can buy bonus pack with steel camo for any tier X. (i use it on my DM and petro)
I have grinded till the baltimore and then realised that cruiser play is not for me, if it werent for that i would have unlocked DM by now(loved pepsican). After grinding the yamato line i will get to DM.
I got my DM as the very last tech tree. I instantly fell in love with the AP shells of hers. This ship is not for everyone tho. Hope you will find yourself a ship that will fit you the way Des Moines fits me.
Desmo is strong and better than Petro because it can reload quickly and shoot over obstacles. However, imho the Petro has the best Cruiser AP. Fortunately for many players out there, both ships can be grinded for free. So get them both and enjoy the citadel feast.
DM wins duels vs petro. However petro is much better at tanking. (petro was a project to answer DM actually) Petro AP has more pen but worse bounce angles then DM. Both ships are great and worth getting for sure. Citadel ribbons are the best ribbons ! Btw. Petro was my first tier X cruiser and DM was my last. And i love both. I even get these 2 steel camo. (not counting the ships released after i finished the grinds)
Imo running range mod on DM is actually making you less consistent since you let yourself play on distances most other ships in this game beat you on without many problems. Try out the playstyle i presented with the reload and playing on closer range but not on open waters You will more often find yourself in fights you will be favored in. In result having higher damage on avarage. It is worth to Give it a shot.
