Nice Game. But you forgot to mention to very important perks of the Champagne. Firstly the champagnes HE has with 49% the highest fire chance in the game, which doesn't make you rely on broadsides that much and secondly you have a stupidly good heal. The heal has only a cooldown of 40 seconds and also heals more than average which makes up for the poor hp and armor. If you combine those perks with Al Dunkerque the ships transform into a monster. You get 5 of those heals and the ability to instantly switch between shell types of which this ship can take advantage of loke none other. You should definitely give the Champagne another try with AL Dunkerque.
Improve concealment with Kondo and put on the commander perk Megolomania to reduce detectability after firing, and this ship is a menace! Shoot after the enemy and go dark before they can fire back, then repeat. I get 200k+ games on this ship more than any other.
Not the ARP Musashi. The 460mm guns have abhorrent grouping beyond 13 or 14nm, which doesn't make sense to me because the IJN BB's are usually really consistent with shot placement.
Ur right about champagne. I do the same i stay far back be it gets over pens and u need to be 17 km plus to not get over pens on enemy ships because it has railguns. Its a long range glass sniper. I actually recommend using range build and use rga mod.so i can shoot and see targets at 20km. This way u dont gey over pens as.much.
Exactly.. win by points if you're ahead. I was 4 on 1 against my Haida.. all I did was use my concealment to my advantage.. we took all 3 caps so I just ran away . Especially when they need to be 5.2km close to be for spotting yet can find most in the lowest 6km. I have the video to show it. Why do players feel they need to destroy all when winning by points? That ship is one of those even a dead clock is right twice a day lol but its a decent ship overall and in a game like this can be really good but it definitely struggles when you are to close like you said or if you get crossed fired cuz some maps you dont allways have room to roam and stay at range but you played it well nice xp and dmg gg spartan

Full pens for no damage means you dealt damage to a module and not the actual ship ie getting full pens on turrets means you dealt damage to the turret, not the ship. Module HP is not tied to ship HP.
I’m not a fan of censorship, but when you censor your profanity there is a bit of comedic value there. That MF censor you did gave me a chuckle. 😂 I have no idea why tho.

honestly I've never seen the Champagne your describing. My Champagne cannot hit ANYTHING at more than 2km. I know this sounds like exaggeration but I'm not kidding. Anything outside point blank range, if cannot hit shit. In my last game I bracketed an Iowa at 6km. Now I'm no beginner, I know how to aim but if I EVER hit more than 2 shells it is a miracle. And when they do hit, they dont do shit. I know a lot of players like it, but MY Champagne cannot and does not do what others do. As far as I'm concerned the Champagne is the worst tier 7 ship in the game. Not the worst tier 7 bb, the worst SHIP period. I would even go as far as saying (for me) it is the worst ship in the game, although there are a couple of others that may give it a run for the money for worst in the game. No give me any American or British BB any day of the week. Even ITA BB's are better.
Only thing i can say here is give an accuracy build a shot, and if you get a broadside, aim a slight bit below waterline unless at 15+km away. Water might slow your shells just enough to get the pens you want. I don't own a Champagne yet, but given the velocity of shells being displayed, should help a *little*.
Your statement of play smart is lost on so many players!! I just had a tier 5/6 game where the two ships that spawned with me ran away, and within a few minutes, I was 1 vs 6. This mean my team should have had an 8 vs 3 advantage. Not only did we lose, but I was last to die and finished first with the only 3 kills by our team, I was in a Dallas. So, WTF did the rest of the team do???

It's always fun to activate the funny button and have 3 salvos in 30 seconds. Plus these guns actually hit where you aim.

Alabama and Montana have a 1.9 sigma and Champagne a 2.0. depend to rng of course but I think the Champagne is more accurate.
