That optimized build guide is super legit. Wizardry is a game series that has always hyper-emphasized status conditions over direct damage in terms of party utility. There's a lawful/good voice for males that I'm absolutely in love with and if I ever got into animating/game design I'd love to use him. "By my honor I swear I'll protect you!" Such a precious boy he is.

So basically you can get guest party members into locations they don't want to go, by using the same tactics that the A-Team use on BA Baracus to get him to fly. I'm sold.
Two things I remember from playing it upon release: The merchants "Thank you" line upon sale was played for each sold item. Queued. So if you sold 100 items he would say it 100 times in a row. And the sound followed you, there was no running from it. And enemies spawned even when the game was paused. So when you paused and went to have lunch and came back you were surrounded by hundreds of enemies. Edit: misremembered, it was Dungeon Lords, not this game.
I remember picking this game up on a whim so long ago. It's been years but yeah, if I could sum up the game in one word it would be unforgettable. I tried to play through but the setting, characters and the quests were so out-there and downright bizarre that I had to give up. It's like someone poured a thousand RPG tropes and conventions into a fantastical sci-fi bowl, mashed them up and then cooked them into the strongest gaming edible you ever might have.

That optimized build guide is super legit. Wizardry is a game series that has always hyper-emphasized status conditions over direct damage in terms of party utility. I mean, your enemies will still blow you up just fine, but what's worse is when they drive most of you insane and then pick you to death.
So do it to them.
