Right words ooh wow 😋😋😋 MASARAP
Masarap indeed, Frankie😋
Love that jeepney inside Jeepney Stop... Lol, Goodbye Philippines lumpia is shaped like a firecracker too. 😆
You know, there's also a Goodbye World and a Goodbye Universe firecracker. 💣
Hey Geoff, have you heard? Philippines just won again World’s Leading Beach Destination and World’s Leading Dive Destination at the 2023 World Travel Awards. Yey!
Hey Moondust, that was the first time I heard of goodbye Philippines so no, I have not hear anything about Universe and world.😂
And I did not hear about the being rated the best dive and beach destinations. It is certainly easy to see why.
@@PureDetour And Manila won World’s Leading City Destination!
Oh you are now in Boracay.
👍👍👍
Hmmmm. I was there definitely in 1993 and I forgot when around 1999 or 2000...
Must be so developed now!
Indonesia, Taiwan, Okinawa and the Philippines was once part of the Shri Vijayan empire.
Visaya is named after Vijaya. That is why there are so many similar words in Bahasa Indonesia.
Was only there for a short trip, Sumakwel. I am back in Manila now
I will revisit Boracay, specifically for that Latin restaurant.
Let me know how it goes, Lila 😁
Watching from Toronto Canada MABUHAY Enjoy
Thank you so much, Rey. Hope it's not too cold back in Toronto already🥶
Woooow! Everything looks delish! Now I am soooooo drooling😂😂😂
Hahaha, I really hope you get to come soon, Sadohr❤️
@@PureDetour Me, too...hopefully in 2025
❤❤❤
Thank you, Jamael
5:50 I wonder if they call it “triangulo” or triangle/triangular. Very Filipino experience having grown up there in the 70’s/80’s.
Around Christmas into new years, kids are armed with firecrackers, lol. “Lusis and watusi for girls, firecrackers with no kaboom, triangulo for the boys and it goes BOOM! I believe this version of lumpia bec of the shape and the more spicy version of lumpia and with cheese, is a play on otherwise more popular street food “dynamite” which I’m sure you’ve tried.
Filipinos are so damn creative. Love it!
Look up “triangle firecracker”in TT and perhaps even here on YT, you’ll see what I mean.
Hi again Jessica, Nope, it is called Goodbye Philippines. Google it, they look identical and Jian explained his reasoning for naming it.
And you are correct that the spicyness is similar to Dynamite but much meatier than even and cheesy pork dynamite. Lets say they are cross between dynamite and lumpia😁
Now I'm craving for taco🤤. I'll try 'em all hopefully mid next year when I get there.
Let me know how it goes, @believeyoume8038 😁
Definitely
9:09 pork belly lechon, similar to porchetta.
Very similar. And while it is not real lechon, it is still delicious
hope the filming of this was spread out over a few meals and not one after the other. knowing it's Boracay everything was probably rather pricey and just like in Siargao everything looks good.
This was filmed on separate days, Elf. Pricey compared to Filipino standards yes, but to western standards still very affordable
Seafoods are the one’s overpriced in Boracay. These restaurants have pretty transparent pricing compared to those seafood places. Westerners would easily pay 10-15 dollars for one dish and still consider it reasonable. Don’t get carried away by those trending post showing their receipt and crying about it. Don’t let that stop you from visiting Boracay.
Hey Geoff, your cholesterol! 😁 They have a pill for that!
Boracay? I always thought it was a tourist hot spot and usually these places don't have good food because they won't see you again.
Boracay is no exception to finding overly touristy food. Three did not make into this video😂. But much like Dubrovnik, Croatia you just have to no where to look. And it helps that we knew a few locals who told us where to go. All 4 of their recommendations were great and the three I tried on my own were not very good lol
locals who eat out! how'd you find them?@@PureDetour
@oxoelfoxo, My girlfriend has some friends that live there and some of the people I know in Bacolod know a few restaurant owners.
