I think your plot looks fantastic, you've come on leaps and bounds to the bomb site you originally took on. Well done you!
Thank you so much! 🥲💖💖💖
I’m with you on breaking the rules with spacing etc. 🍃🧡🌼. Your allotment beds are looking great. I’m betting your container garden is lovely as well.🍃🪴!
Ask your neighbor if they would give you a bit of chives when they are done flowering.
The Transformation of the plot is incredible
It feels like we've all adopted you. Everyone's so proud of you, Seren. Da iawn, merch!
Nice to see a young lady with so much enthusiasm. it'll look a picture in a couple of weeks. 🌻✨✨
Your plot is looking fabulous, Seren, you would nevear think it was your first year. It is going to look beautiful with all the flowers. Well done. Happy gardening 🙂
Thank you so much! 🥲 I'm very much looking forward to seeing the space fill up!! Thank you for watching 🥰
One good thing is, that everyone who's been following know what a complete state your allotment was when you took it over...so we could probably guess that your 'home' garden has been somewhat neglected.
Don't worry about it. You've still got the entire Summer to sort it out a bit!
I'm looking forward to seeing it. I grow a lot in containers myself so it's good to see what other gardeners are up to.
It looks great 👍. My chives were bought from Asda in the food section 😂I split each pot into 4 and they have done well on my allotment & been in 3 years. Plus they only cost £1.50
I’ve always bought my herb bed herbs from the fruit & veg bit in the supermarket-the growing ones in the pots obviously! Had great success with rosemary, thyme, chives and parsley which all survive my Newcastle winters.
I do this too, I currently have some basil that needs splitting... which is handy as my germination has been sketchy with basil! 🙂
I will have to keep a look out in the supermarkets for some chives! I can't believe there were none to be found at the garden centre 🤣 Didn't think to check in the supermarkets!
2:00 Maybe move the water butt to the little corner without stones? That way it won’t be noticeable that there aren’t stones there. It would look really cohesive if you paint that water butt pink to match your containers.
Your plot is looking amazing! You’ve got so much done in so little time.
Yes, fill the beds up give them water and fertilizer.
The plants will help shade out the weeds.
I bought a pot of chives at the grocery store last year and just took that out the pot and put it in the ground. It's doing amazing!
It's an exciting moment getting the beans out 💚I managed to get some of mine out before the onslaught of rain yesterday. Ahh the devil flea beetle - they had ALL of my radishes at the allotment too. Thankfully those grown at home in tubs have escaped them. Would love to see your garden!! 🌻
The birds sound happy.
It looks idyllic. You need a table a seating area, sunshade and a teapot to enjoy.
To give the plants a boost when putting out, you can try the vitax 6x organic fertilizer. It is cheap as chips when you buy a big bag, goes a very long way and lasts all summer in the ground.
Have fun and watch out for those pesky slugs. My garden is full of them after all the rain.
Definitely shade the top of the greenhouse if you can. It’ll make sure that the greens house won’t get so warm. You can buy some greenhouse shading paint for glass. It’s not too expensive. You can remove it in winter.
Monty don says plant inside the teepee...because its easier to water the plants. :)....everything is looking so good! Regards from texas
All your hard work has paid off, Seren! Your garden is looking lovely! Great episode! ❤️🇨🇦
The plot looks really impressive. Congratulations.
I am a" old boy" gardening wise have tips for you go to poundland buy coco blocks that you mix with water bloodfish and bone chicken manure pellets to bulk out your compost and leave nettles. And brambles around your beds to deter slugs as always happy gardening Richardx
May can be a tricky time with seedlings, but it's generally so much better when everything is planted up outside, your plot is looking great, you've achieved such a lot in a short time !
you have done sooo much in such a short time well done the plot looks great and for gardens 😊 rules were made to be tested and broken
I just love seeing all those plants going in the ground! I am going to try planting more flowers in with the vegetables. I can't wait to see how things turn out!
Amazing progress! You are really growing all those beautiful transplants too💕. Great job!
I love your philosophy of sticking what you want wherever you want! It's going to be beautiful!
WOW your garden is coming along really well and all your seedlings will settle in and start to grow and mature
Seren, how you’ve transformed your allotment is truly remarkable and an inspiration!
Love your allotment, Seren and looking forward to seeing your garden.
great video, loud bird at the end was a wren
Your plants are lovely at the allotment. I hope your copper collars work against the slugs!
Love the beans and marigolds.
It's a Thrush Seren xx
Mystery Dahlias are my favourite kind
If you give your garden a few weeks, it will be filled in and amazing. I'm sure everything will survive. You could ask you neighbour for a clump of her chives or collect some seed from it later. Good luck!
Hi your doing a great job plot looks very tidy, you may like to watch Jess at plot number 37 she a really good gardener,I watch her every week, she works her plot with her mum. 😊
Seren I hope your bean teepee is well anchored. There's always a few surprise windy days in summer that will blow them over and snap the stems .
You should be so proud of your plot. It’s looking amazing Don’t forget it’s your first year and best thing come to those who wait. 😊
slug problem,, use sharp sand around your plants. works like a charm.
Coucou
Vraiment incroyable 😊😊
A bientôt
I planted out two courgette plants today. One is a bit small so might struggle. Then it poured with rain after I went home and they both probably got battered. Will find out tomorrow.
Blimey. My cosmos are half the size of yours 😭. They have been outside for ages though in a cell tray.
You have worked so hard!! Hope they all survive and thrive..enjoying the journey with you x
I must say you have impressed me! You are quite "girly" (unlike me) and I wasn't sure you could manage this but you have! Your garden is looking fantastic and I applaud your efforts!! And forget planting by the rules. Well behaved plants seldom make tiktok🤣
That’s not the same place! It was literally a dump. Look at it now 🤩
I like that your pathways are just soil. looks so much better
Amazing transformation Seren. It's looking so good 😊
Your plot looks beautiful!
You inspired me, only difference... I had to make a hanging garden in planter bags on top of huge drums. =.. Boxer proof.... First time that my seedlings are still standing... All of them.. Wish I could place a picture here.... Damn dog.. But we're older, and she's more like a grand baby...
It's just amazing how much you've done in such a short time!!
Just to let everyone know ( if you dont already), The Range sell organic compost 50l bags at 4 for £10!!!!! i was spending so much money on compost and happened to look at The Range's website for something else and noticed it. I didnt think it was right so i double checked and phoned them up, and yes, its 4 bags for £10!!! I have been buying 12 at a time ( i have my first alottment, so just trying to set it all up) . It goes really quick though. I managed to speak to the man who deals with the gardening bit and he saves them for me now, which is really kind of him. Just thought I would let you know incase you need any and have The Range in your area
Thanks so much for leaving this comment! I went and bought 8 bags today! Can't believe how cheap it was and seem like good compost!
I didn’t rate the SupaGrow organic compost at all. It smells just like ash when you open it, doesn’t act like compost, stains walkways black and bakes a rock hard skin on the soil in the sun like coal rocks and holds no moisture, I’d even go as far as to say it dried out my existing compost to be unusable. I ended up throwing mine in a deep hole from digging out concrete as I don’t want it near my growing spaces. Maybe I got a bad batch but I wouldn’t even use it as a mulch in my garden.
@@Heather0804 oh nooo, well I'll see how it goes. Its definitely quite stinky. All a learning curve i guess. I've got a mixture of different composts and manure around my plot so I'll see what does best
@@seadrum yeah I had a look on the range website at the reviews last night and they are very mixed and looks like there really is no consistency in the product. A lot of people said it stank like manure but I muck out my brother’s horses and it’s definitely ash not manure that my bags smelled very strongly of.
Your plot is looking so beautiful! And what an amazing transformation you have made of the place!
I think your doing amazing your allotment is looking great
I'm with you on doing what you want , flowers and veg look fab . Looking great on your plot . 😀
Perhaps a favourite plant at the corner of the greenhouse (where the stone path doesn't quite reach)?
Or put the water butt there. It’s a corner space so it won’t break up the flow of that pathway if it’s at the corner.
It's all looking great.. Love the beans and marigolds... I might try that 😘
Your plot looks fantastic, you should be very proud of yourself on how you’ve turned that space into a beautiful place to grow your veg and helping nature, I love hearing the birds and your pond is fab, your really motivating me to put some beds in and try my hand at growing some veg , well done x
Your plot is looking amazing! Your plants look much healthier than mine. Don’t know what I’ve done wrong this year - everything looks so sad. 😢
Be proud, looks so nice and you are getting so much food this summer….both for body and soul 👩🌾👏
Love the channel!! Just wanted to give you a tip, you can put a pie plate of beer out and slugs will go into but it's not good for them, it should be level with the ground tho
This is so much better than anyone could have hoped for when you started this procject, also without a car! Love what you have done so far!
You have worked so hard. The plot looks great. ❤
Looking great Seren 🤩
Ask your neighbour for a clump of chives he won't mind 😉
Your plot is looking fantastic.
Everything looks absolutely beautiful. We are all so proud and happy for you. Have a blessed weekend ahead.
You have done so well the plot is looking great
Looking amazing over there 🌱🌱💚 ever try FAVA beans? I planted some and they are sprouting, first time for those
Plot is looking amazing, job well done. On other plots I have seen where they use some stuff to help with getting rid of slugs.
This is my first year gardening, and I look forward to your videos! I binge watched from the beginning and have been caught up for the past month. Now I patiently wait for your next episode 😂. Thank you for being inspiring ❤.
Love your permaculture style.🎉
You have done a great job!! It looks good!
Your plot as come a long way since you started, well done, it look's awesome :D
Your plot looks awesome! Good job!
Looking good!!
👍👍👍
Hun, we understand you can't be at two places at the same time. Especially since you have a job and can't do gardening full time.
What I would be interested is in regards with you mentioning you bring baby plants and such from home. How do you grow them there?
Also, do you approach the allotment differently? Does it have a different function or is it an extension of your home garden?
💐🐞🐝
It looks fantastic! What was the name of the person you followed on instagram again? I can´t make it out (not english). :D
I think it's chicksandveg 🌿
Yes! chicksandveg 🥰
