I discovered your channel the other day and I've been really enjoying the mixture of content you've posted. Great channel, great for lovers of the RC hobby and varying skill and experience levels.
For an overlapping seam of monokote, I sometimes see a little of the adhesive smear out during the ironing. It's more noticeable on dark covering, but I'm having trouble removing those smears of adhesive from the top of the monokote. Acetone seems to just make the smears even larger .... spreading them a bit. Any tips for removing them?
Dude your making me feel old..LOL, I HAVE THOSE BOOKS. And tools.. the first plane I built was a Gentle Lady also. Never covered it though. It eventually met a boys end. The first plane I ever covered was a SIG Riser 100"
I want to know who's the one dude who dislikes all your videos??!?! Thanks for this video. I started flying with a Hangar 9 Easy Fly 40 ARF. Then I build a Four Star 40.
Foamies are for packing purposes! ... and I own some of them! Sometimes I want to get something up and running fast but they are nothing like flying sticks.
I thought so. I built one for a friend (belt driver version)...cool helicopter. The Kalt demise was a sad thing. I (still) have a Raptor .30 V2, and a TSK Five Star 30V.
@@Craigs-corner It was a good flying bird for sure, the last heli i flew was a raptor 90 with all the bells and whistles. Got out of helis about 12 years ago.
thank you for keeping the old school way in the hobby alive

Thanks for the video and time you put into it can say what paints you use for cowls etc.
I will mention it in my next video
So with a gas or electric airplane could you just rub a little bit of oil on the fabric to keep it nice?
It may sound crazy but yes! Soak a rag with some castor oil and wipe the covering down, then clean with windex
@@n1114v Ok Thanks!
@@n1114v So you just use windex to clean up the glow residue after flying?
@@gc2916 yep!
Just trying to tighten up a few wings today. Lots of old birds . 👍good information brother
Glad you enjoyed
