This confirms what I thought, in that finding a spot on a planet that is the most beautiful and living in an outpost there seems like the best kind of home. The dream home's planet area is ugly desert. You'd think they would make a beautiful area. Has anyone found a great place with a river/lake/forest/moons in the sky spot?

Quick tip: you can access build mode by turning on your scanner inside your home and press outpost button 😊F then R for PC, I don’t know for controller but just act as if you’re building in your outpost 😊
Like your content, I chose that trait. Went to my home on the planet.. I had creatures on it and they’re very hostile. And also had the other religious fraction on their the snake one I had a camp like thousand metres away. And two ships were there they start with V I can’t move the name.
Yes, even with maxed out research for outpost decoration it doesn't seem enough lol Based on experience with Fallout 4, unfortunately you will only get more furniture with paid DLC's Based on experience with Fallout 4, fortunately modders will make a lot of furniture for free but that's of course if mods are accessible to you.
Be careful not to store anything there you don't want to lose. Have seen several reports of the penthouse getting wiped completely clean when gameplay triggers a reset of the New Atlantis map (after terrormorphs, etc). You'll notice that you can boost pack down to your ship. No loading screen means the penthouse is part of the spaceport.
For myself, this all feels redundant when you consider the Habs you can build. Sure, these are nice, but for what purpose? End-game stuff for me after everything has been done with the Habs I suppose...or if you just want to scratch that 'designer' itch. I don't see the benefit of having 'homes' in this game other than to say "We did it in Skyrim and did it here too" I feel that having the ability to make your Hab offsets the need to buy homes. In Skyrim, you couldn't build Habs, but you could buy homes...made sense. In FO4, you coudlnt buy homes, but could build Habs...made sense again...for those individual games. For Starfield? I will likely stick with Habs and build them out how I like.

The Dream Home is on Nesoi for me. A beautiful planet with red grass and varied trees.
My main outpost is currently my home, will upgrade to the biggest spaceship you can build later.

I agree but I would add that the buying the homes is a convenience for me just so I have a spot if my own within most of the major cities is nice.
