@@DOPJoshDiaz dump your audio into reaper or some other DAW and force mono on the track and then bring it back to your video editor

the lack of in body stabilization is actually a plus for drones. It messes with gyro flow and doesnt play the best with gimbals. This is one reason why the a7s3 isnt so popular in this area.
I’m of the opinion inbuilt cameras are superior anyway. Why attach a bulky, external SLR?
isn't it possible to turn off IBIS in most camera that have IBIS?
the vibrations from the drone still make sensors with ibis shake, even if the ibis is turned off@@jayan.varsani
No bc they are not fully locked and w drastic movements of fpv drones it makes footage unusable

i have seen it during a drones Exhibition here, and the way the data cable connect is really at concern if you are flying at a border line weather condition and start raining

This is exactly what I needed for my line of work
The company I work for uses the A7S3 in an industrial application. This is a perfect replacement and are intending to saw to this.
People would do astrophotography with that full frame. Counts as industrial use too. Plus it appears to have micro HDMI output, making it a high end distance education video setup too.
I just saw the price though...🤯 8-bit 4K 60, programmable software API, 🤔
Idk this camera still throws me for a loop. I could think of like 3 better options in Sonys existing ecosystem.
@@DOPJoshDiaz I agree with your assessment. I would be interested in your opinion of Sony's other options. This ILX-LR1 is too expensive in my mind, and should cost a value of half of what they are asking. Otherwise, I would instead go with a cinema box camera, that includes more outputs like HDMI, IP and even SDI, such as that Lumix BGH1. BGH1 supports full 10-bit 4K @ 60Hz capture, although it can do 120Hz for internal recording. And supports streaming via IP in a Panasonic article I found.
This is pretty cool. I can see use of this. I would use it on a drone and pernament fixed studio cameras like in 3d capture and virtual spaces

I have one question? Why so many buttons on back and scrolling wheel. Explain.
The camera has all the buttons you would expect from a typical Alpha cam. If you want to control the camera remotely, you could use the SDK.
Sony's official website says it can shoot 10-bit XAVC... So I don't think it's a problem... It's decent for drone applications (for photography mainly, for video I think it's okay) but for low light it's more like hit or miss. For low light or cinema applications A7siii or FX3 will be ideal. I don't think the main purpose of this camera is to use it on Drones.. Maybe something related to defence/armed forces.. It's my only guess tho.
Honestly even if I had unlimited money I don't see where this would fit for me... I think you had a great take. Camera looks very cool though. And I thought the same thing with the sigma NP. But I do think the sigma might be a better choice even I don't know neither one really fits my needs though.

Hello Josh from videos by Josh, I am HistoricMetals (Emmett) from comments by HistoricMetals. I came here because of the title. "Sony Can't Stop Making Cameras". It's too true, and it's super annoying, because it's super confusing. Let's release ZV-E10, then ZV-1, then ZV-E1, in no particular order of importance or cost, or with names that make it so you can tell them apart and which is which. Axxxx Ayy and Mark IIs and FFS Sony, make it make sense. Hire ONE PERSON who has even been an actual human who needs to remember the differences between things and easily be able to tell them apart.
It's literally insane that the company is as old as Sony is, that they haven't figured out yet that confusing the shit out of the world with your product naming and release order and not providing a single comprehensive and well curated list of all of them from top to bottom, really anywhere I can ever find and shouldn't even need to refer to at all, is probably not your optimal strategy.

Live streamers could definitely make use of it with a belabox setup.
I really like Sony's PTZ cameras for livestreaming, but it's likely overkill for a streamer. This camera seems like it would work for that.

The Sony ILX-LR1 is Not a Cinema Camera
The Sony ILX-LR1 is primarily designed for industrial applications. While it shares some technical specifications with cinema cameras, such as a high-resolution sensor and interchangeable lenses, it lacks several critical features required for professional filmmaking
I own a drone shop and this camera looks interesting, but has to have 10-bit color. Will there be a firmware update to add this to this camera?? It's too expensive to not have 10-bit color.
Not having 10 bit sucks. Really kills this camera for creative applications.
Pair this with rokinon cine lenses and you get small form factor but light weight better focal length choices

Certainly an interesting idea, but I believe that was a custom-housed camera with a 6k sensor.

I'm, not sure i would call 8 bit video perfect for any use except for maybe surveillance or similar, but other than that I agree. It had potential to be a good crash cam before I heard about that little tidbit.

Thre is no IBIS becouse IBIS on drone males it just worse, stabilisation go crazy and picture is ruined. Few RUclipsrs try A7S3 on a FPD drone and bump on IBIS.
