So often, during or after landing a big cat you use God's name in vain. As a Christian this greatly offends me. At the end of your videos, in closing you say, God bless you, which is good. But please stop using His name carelessly. Your son, as is obvious looks up to you. Teach him well. Thank you for allowing me to express my feelings. Keep up the great fishing!

We don't have catfish or bass and we mostly fish in the sea...... I call river fish mud fish cos thats what they taste like lol. Spending all that cash for a boat and all the fishing gear and you don't even get a feed out of it...... seems a tad crazy to me hahaha.

    Hi again @LoudGuys!
    Your questions:
Q: “How do they know where to look for the holes, that have fish in them?”
A: The knowledge of where productive holes are located, is part of why they are so successful. These locations have been passed down, from earlier family members, or friends who had previously found them. The new areas found by each successive generation, are then passed down to their families and or friends.
Q: “What are they doing under water, where we can’t see?”
The “noodler” pushes a body part, sometimes it’s a hand, other times a foot. Sometimes the holes are deep, meaning the noodler has to push into a hole up to their shoulder, or a foot, and leg all the way up to the crotch. When the noodler has to do this, while they’re completely submerged, it gets very dangerous. Some noodlers have drowned, and died, when attempting to do this - while attempting to pull a very large flathead catfish from their hole. It’s almost impossible to swim,or even tread water when a giant flathead catfish has your entire right leg clamped in its mouth up to your waist.
That’s why most of us fish in pairs, or more. For if u can’t rely on an extra hand, i could end up as a victim.
    One mor thing… noodling.
hThe ‘videos’ of these particular folks, do not demonstrate “noodling. Technically, it’s called hand-fishing. True noodlers, keep a stringer, or small section of tri-twist, or braided rope, and cinch a ring on one end, and normally, a small, bard wood stake, sharply pointed, with a hole big enuf for the rope to fit through, for cinching - or, the same ring and rope, except the stake is fabricated from sheet metal, usually galvanized ton, that’s is wrapped around the last several inches of rope, and cold pressed onto the rope, so that it’s sharply pointed, and very secure
The noodlers begin by first locating a catfish, then they hold the stake of the noodle 🍝 in hand, and maneuver to slide the stake pointed end first through the gills of the catfish, until they’re able to put the stake through the ring, then pull up the slack until weight is encountered, then, at the right moment, pull the noodle taught so that all the slack is taken up through the ring, fast onto the mouth and gill plate. The fish is ‘caught,’ at this point. Should you happen to noodle a fish weighing over a hundred pounds, you should: 1.) place the fish into tub, with circulation or areated water over the fish’s gills. 2.) take the fish to a state game wardens office, or whatever type of wildlife protection officer available in your state. 3.) present your fish to the state officer to be weighed and measured. WARNING:The fish must be alive, at both presentation, and at the time of release, to qualify, and receive certification for a state or world record catfish.
The there’s the issue of the alligator snapping turtles. But, let’s us save them for another great fishing day storytelling. Until then, keep u’r lines tight, and take a child fishing. You’ll have absolutely no idea how much impact that can have on a child’s psyche.
I know, because someone once took me fishing!
    Great vid, great reaction @LoudGuys!
    Keep’em coming!

Anybody ever had a fish so big that 30lb line wouldn’t budge it off the bottom? I had a spinning reel tonight maxed out almost on the drag where it was just enough to keep from being popped off and had a fish hook up and drag a 1656 boat with 3 people in it around. Never could get it off the bottom but knew it was still on there from the movement. Any guess how big it would have to be to pop 30lbs and not budge?

It was a tangling with catfish extreme series rod and the reel was an abu Garcia 6500 striper special. I’ll post a link to the website below. Thank you for watching👍

Skip Jack is a salt water fish! Are you meaning gizzard shad?👍🇨🇱

These are Skipjack herring, they feed on baitfish unlike a gizzard shad which is a plankton eater. They are Very fun to catch and make great bait. Thank you for watching👍

I’m from Kentucky, skipjack herring are in the Mississippi and Ohio rivers and most of the major tributaries. Tennessee river and Cumberland rivers have probably the best population I’ve seen.

I have caught some decent catfish in my life, but nothing like this. I have been saltwater fishing a lot lately, and you had a couple where they peeled drag and I instinctively said "he got sharked."
