    This video truly captures the raw beauty of the sport! From the thrill of catching those trophy catfish to the serene moments on the Chickamauga Reservoir, it felt like I was right there with you. The uncut, real-time experience brought out the dedication and patience it takes to master kayak fishing. Absolutely inspiring!

    School, I partially agree. History IS important, because it tends to repeat itself. BUT, I think a lot of history in school books is wrong, and spun. Just like the internet. Having a computer in your hand all the time, (I think) is bad. People don't learn and practice basic math. The grid, including cel towers, is brittle, and we can't depend on it. There's a beauty to reading a real book, and listening to real records. Some of the beauty in music and books is lost when it's processed. Me thinks.
    What a way to end a show! That was a biggun! Your uncut videos are excellent, and you are a dang good fisherman!

    It's amazing how small the channels are that you have in Tennessee, compared to northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Weget them 10 to 15 pounds up here.I wish we had blues up here! I have had to prove many people wrong about blues here. They don't understand the "blue phase" of a channel cat!

    What is your anchor setup?

    • @KayakCatfish
      @KayakCatfish  7 месяцев назад +1

      15lb dumbbell and some rope

  • @fishinkeylargo
    @fishinkeylargo 7 месяцев назад

    Stuff happens. My crazy anchor line story. I was fishing in a deep-water canal in the Everglades, 20+ feet deep. Anchor line has a clip on one end that I clip to the boat, line is 75 feet long, goes to a small chain and then the anchor. Wind was blowing pretty hard. Got on fish and dropped the anchor and tied off with around 35 foot of rope in the water. School of fish was moving back so I untied the anchor and started drifting back with them. As I’m reeling in a fish, I feel the anchor line come tight. Next think I know the line pulls free from the clip and I see my line slowly sinking. I hit the mark button on my fish finder to mark the spot, finish catching and releasing the fish, and then return to where I lost my anchor.
    After several minutes of contemplation, I decided to tie on a heavy jig with a large hook to try and snag my anchor line. Several casts with no luck and I was getting discouraged and frustrated thinking I will have to buy a new anchor set up. Tried again, as I’m reeling in the jig dragging it on the bottom it comes tight. Great now I’m snagged on the bottom, there goes the only chance I had as I only had one big heavy jig.
    As I pull hard to break my line, the line starts pulling back. What could this be. I end up fighting what ever was pulling back, chasing it up and down the canal, with the motor running, several times as it was way heavier than my 8# test could handle and I was close to being spooled. Felt it turn direction again and make a deep dive. Several minutes later I see my anchor line sliding up my fishing line back to the surface. At this point I was more concentrating on getting my anchor line before my line breaks on this monster. Finally get my anchor line in hand and tied off to the boat.
    Back to my rod. After a few more minutes I started gaining line back on my reel. I can see by the angle of my line what I had hooked was coming to the surface. I was shocked to see I snagged a 6 foot alligator. All dumb luck. Lost my anchor and line, snagged an alligator that eventually swam below my anchor line and forced it to the surface to where I could grab it and get my anchor back. Alligator left with a Jig piercing in its side and a heck of a story for both of us.

    The director used California and Texas to make it vague which political party they belong to. If he made it Texas and say Arizona it would be to obvious the Western forces are Republica . It would have been annoying if he made the wester forces Democrats and the president Republican . That would piss off half of the audience considering the president was in for a third term and doing a bunch of authoritarian actions. I'm happy he didn't make it Republican's are bad and Democrats good or vise versa. I agree the story was very shallow and it needed more depth on what caused the civil war besides the quick news broadcast that said the president was in for a third term and disbanded the FBI.
