The U.S. Department of Labor have prosecuted Taxi Companies for violating Labor Laws.
These employees where arrested for a charge thats not a crime. Bribery is an offence against any official in a Public ( officer ) Administrative capacity. And Port Authority officials knew it wasn't a crime being commmited but arrested these employees in conjunction with Taxi Dispatch management violating their civil right.
all of these people where released on there own recognizance after lock up and given court dates then charges where dropped months later. because bribery is only an OFFICAL misconduct offence.

This been going on for long period of times.Everyone who involved in this matter should be punished..Giving and taking bribe is absolutely crime.
that's correct I was at terminal 5 in JFK and saw a taxi driver was paying dispatcher to get passenger while other taxi drivers waiting at taxi lot more than 2-3 hours. same happening in LGA where i saw taxi dispatcher (lady) receiving money with expired short return ticket from taxi driver and let him go while other taxi driver waiting in lot. NOTE: ALL TAXI DISPATCHER ARE NOT DISHONEST.

because they're taking bribes to skip taxis into the taxi line. this is a security risk

LGA airport all dispatcher taking money specially old man name Michal Z something , if his name spelling is not wrong.
Sometimes customers leave without paying and response from 911 comes in 10 minutes by that time the person is already going inside the building. Please do something about that as well.

thank you so much police officer to arrested those coroption dispatcher. those dispatcher you don't be work at any airport and doorman in usa. police should arrest dispacher in LGA airport as well. police should investigate to Penn station and Portauthourity Bus terminal dispatcher as well. because they selleing long fare to black cab. intercontenental time squatter door man selling fare to black cab as airport fare. in my experience i have been wait over 6 hours in jfk and lga airports several times that in my record. those airport should get better personal, educated, and respectful dispatcher. so many tourist complain about ny airport dispatchuer. no restpectful and nasety. they said. as world knew as usa is best country, good security system. we don't want to hear this bad news to the world. hopefuly nysd should understand how to control it. I was a cab driver around that time and yes I remeber, I used to wait in taxi lot for 3 hours in busy tine to find a fare. Very unprofessional dispatchers were working and totally ignorant.
