800th Anniversary Mass

On 11 February 2024, the Master of the Order of Preachers, Fr Gerard Timoner, celebrated Mass in St Saviour's Church, Dublin, to mark the 800th anniversary of the arrival of Dominican friars in Ireland. Members of the Dominican family gathered from all over Ireland: members of lay Dominican fraternities; the nuns of Siena Monastery, Drogheda; sisters of the Cabra Congregation and the Congregation of St Cecilia; members of Dominican youth groups; and friars from all our locations, including Trinidad and Rome.
