Dear Mr. Ramsay I have been your fan for most of my life and thus know that you like to taste dishes from many different parts of the world. It has come to my attention that you have never been to my country Georgia and have never tried our wonderful cuisine. Let me tell you about my country: Georgia is a small country located at the intersection of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It is a part of the Caucasus region and is bounded to the west by the Black Sea. Tbilisi is the capital and largest city. We have unique scripts, that were granted the national status of intangible cultural heritage in Georgia in 2015 and inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016. Georgia’s pavilion was even opened in Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018 showcasing the wonders of our language and literature. Georgia is one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world. The fertile valleys and protective slopes of the Transcaucasia were home to grapevine cultivation and Neolithic wine production for at least 8000 years. Georgia is home to more than 500 varieties of indigenous grapes-roughly one-sixth of the world's total grape varieties. We have a lot of different types of wine but the favourite will forever be ‘’qvevri” (special large clay pot that stores wine underground) wine. winemaking traditions are entwined with our national identity, and have been classified by UNESCO as part of the world's Intangible Cultural Heritage. Our national drink is Chacha ( grape pomace brandy) ranging from having 40% of alcohol to having 65% of it. Speaking of wine we have a huge variety of something that goes very well with it - cheese. This includes: Dambal'khacho, Guda, Sulguni, Tenili cheese and e.t.c. The country is devided in regions and each one has their own cuisine. We love useing spices like coriander, Blue fenugreek, Crushed Berberis Berries, Marigold, Caraway Seeds, Dried Ajika (our own mix of hot spices) and Svanetian(region in georgia) Salt. The national dishes of Georgia are Khinkali (similar to soup dumpling but not the same), Khachapuri (cheese bread (we have at least 9-10 different variants of this dish)), Chakapuli( spring light soup with fresh greens, lamb/calf meat and white wine), satsivi (turkey stock based dish, with turkey meat and blended walnut and spice mix (eaten cold)), kharcho ( beef stock based dish, with beef, blended walnuts and spices (usually eaten hot with ghomi)), pkhali(vegetarian dish made from different vegetables and/or greens, healthy fresh with walnuts and spices), churchkhela ( The main ingredients are grape must, nuts or walnuts, and flour. Almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts are threaded onto a string, dipped in thickened grape juice or fruit juices and dried in the shape of a sausage. Churchkhelas are snacks packed with calories, legend says that soldiers used to take them to battles and hide in belts to survive longer) and so on. We would like to invite you to our wonderful country and show you all the best parts of our cuisine and culture. Returning to your roots is a sign of seeking that path. Loved seeing your interaction with the Guru and your surprise to 7000 happy kitchen helpers. After seeing it, I was reminded of a certain table I had a dream about, and was curious as to weather or not you had a similar experience.
Dear Gordon, you are one of my favorite chefs!! I have still not recovered from discovering (after the fact) you were here in Marquette, my hometown. So close, deep sadness! Please come back to our beautiful Upper Peninsula. Now for the trout melt...beautiful, will make this weekend!!
As a yooper, I really wish I would have known when he was in town. I haven't seen the full episode but I read an article a few days ago that said he was in Marquette for part of the filming last September. Either way, he made that sandwich look delicious, and I'm not even big on trout.
Even though I don't consider myself a professional chef I absolutely love to cook and create new flavors.I think it's incredible how you inspire people to become there best .my signature dish is Calamari ! Tenderized ,fried , marinated or stuffed, thanks for what you do Chef Ramsay. ✌️
I am not even a big seafood guy, but oh man that looks so good. Only Chef Ramsay can cook something I am not particularly fond of and make it look delicious. I would eat it regardless.
That might be one of the recent recipes he's done that haven't like made me question a ton of things, not sure about the red onion. It was going really well, and then he said to season the cheese?? I have never seen someone season cheese unless it's a caprese sandwich. But overall nice. Also I bet someone at home is gonna think to do something similar and use another pan to cover the ingredients because Gordon did... remember you can use a lid to the pan, you probably have one.
Looks great, but I don't understand 'seasoning' the cheese. Cheddar already has plenty of seasoning in it (especially salt), and you can clearly see that adding the salt (even when melting it) basically just seeded crystallization of the salt already within the cheese (which is what the weird white stuff around the salt grains was). Admittedly, some of the white might have been the salt grains dissolving and being carried away as the cheese melted and stretched, but it was definitely crystallizing, too (which is the same sort of thing that happens when you have a cheese in the fridge for too long, and it starts to get those 'grains' of salt in it).
I would eat that. I would eat that even with the onions in it! I was just in Houghton, MI the week before Gordon was. Went camping in the Porkies. Got home and 3 or 4 days later someone snapped a pic of him at a restaurant we all tried in Houghton the week before. I think it was the pizza place? I don;t quite remember, but I was like dang it! lol. I'm glad he got to experience the UP. It's beautiful and truly is God's country.
I love Gordon Ramsey and I love this recipe. I subbed smoked salmon filet in place of the trout (because it's easier to find where I live) and it's still delicious. I have successfully used sour cream instead of creme fraiche, too. The smoked salmon salad mixture (creme fraiche, red onions, smoked fish, and parsley) is good just on a sandwich, too....similar to tuna salad sandwich.

What are the pans Gordon is using? They look non stick, however, he is using metal utensils?
Gordon pans
@@minishark7630 you must be special
As a yooper, I really wish I would have known when he was in town. I haven't seen the full episode but I read an article a few days ago that said he was in Marquette for part of the filming last September. Either way, he made that sandwich look delicious, and I'm not even big on trout.
Looks super. I'll give that a go.
By the way, not convinced you need that style of music in background.
Even though I don't consider myself a professional chef I absolutely love to cook and create new flavors.I think it's incredible how you inspire people to become there best .my signature dish is Calamari ! Tenderized ,fried , marinated or stuffed, thanks for what you do Chef Ramsay. ✌️
gordon ramsey is always cooking in a middle of nowhere
This is awesome, a guy who isn’t even from Michigan knows just how to cook like we do. Gordon, you are awesome.
I'd rather just taste/eat the trout honestly
Gordon: Jam...
Me: JaMIe OLiVer?
Gordon: ...es Ricardo
Me: 😅
I just love how fast Godon is easy.. you make seem so seamless...
I love how he says "beautiful". He is just such an amazing Human being!
Well, he doesn't say that much on his other shows.
I LITERALLY watched this BEAUTIFULLY while I was nicely seasoned.
I really need to stop watching Gordon when I'm incredibly stoned. I see all these amazing foods I can't currently eat.
I am not even a big seafood guy, but oh man that looks so good. Only Chef Ramsay can cook something I am not particularly fond of and make it look delicious. I would eat it regardless.
ITS good fresh
Just a chance to meet him would make my day
damn, one step away from the stock cubes at this point. full circle.
Fish and red onion goes great together. We eat it a lot in scandinavia
Yes, but he heated the other pan first. That's what toasted the cheese on top.
Comfort food means heading to the mcdonalds and getting a mcflurry
Gordon seems to be in good mood this video.
Intense rock music for a beautifuly done Sandwich gentle touch . hahaha i love it .
Gordon Ramsay be traveling across the states
The tree’s in his back looks nice.
As an off grid Yooper, cooking in the wild once included trying to cook a frozen pizza over the fire on an old hubcap.

It looks good
See you around ♥️
This is probably one of the best looking breakfast dishes he’s done. It looks so good
To the person that’s reading this:
You’re very intelligent and adorable human! Stay healthy 💜
One thing he didnt show, is how much of a mess that is to eat
I love that he's in my state representing beautiful Michigan 💜 the UP is gorgeous & many cool places to visit!! The fishing is a bonus 💯
Salting the cheese...he is not only obsessed with olive oil.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊. You want to Start making huge profits . within three hours just like me?
I would eat that. I would eat that even with the onions in it!
I was just in Houghton, MI the week before Gordon was. Went camping in the Porkies. Got home and 3 or 4 days later someone snapped a pic of him at a restaurant we all tried in Houghton the week before. I think it was the pizza place? I don;t quite remember, but I was like dang it! lol. I'm glad he got to experience the UP. It's beautiful and truly is God's country.
Waiting for the day he comes back to Los Angeles need to shake he's hand
Take a shot every time Gordon says "beautiful"
did gordon just called generic processed square cheddar cheese as "beautiful cheese"?
Looks like slices from a block of smoked cheddar.
By processed do you mean sliced? lol
We use natural anato seed to color our cheese, that's doesn't mean it's artificial.
Anyone else notice he dabbled the eggs in the dirty Rag
Tôi là người Việt Nam. Và tôi rất tự hào khi Ngài đã đưa món ăn nước tôi đến với MasterChef
