if "what if it was the friends we made along the way" had a cutscene
The director really made the whole friendship journey along with this scene. Thank you for commenting ☺
i fucking hate your shitty memes
No way shidbot is here
At least Bonnet had the chance to say goodbye to Edward, and in a probably very fullfiling way for him
I would say yes but I don't know what's going to happen next.
@@AkSky01Bonnet is real character, so u can track his story in Wikipedia for example
@@Aturatos thanks for info buddy
Later in the Game you can hear how two Guards are talking and laughing about how Bonnet was hanged
@@AkSky01 On mission where Edward, Mary and Anne captured (seq 11 maybe). There are 2 guards near Rackham cage, talking about Bonnet passed out during his death sentence
Bonnet is one of the saddest because he doesn't die as a direct result of Edward's meddling.
That will be the saddest part of the game
Edward was indirectly responsible. He inspired Stede to become a pirate. If they never met Stede would remain as a merchant sailor.
@@nobblkpraetorian5623 bonnet doesn't know that how hard it could be he just attacked some ships looted and got captured 😞😞
@@nobblkpraetorian5623if Edward hadn’t helped him, Bonnet would have simply died sooner. Remember, Edward saving Bonnet from some thugs who happened to fly a country’s flag was how they had met in the first place.
At least he had a chance to get some excitement before his death.
I really wasn't prepared to care so much for Bonnet in the End.
Yeah bro but after reading these comments I can say I'm little bit prepare now.
Same Bro
I have played through Blackflag 3 times, and this particular cut scene always catches me off guard and gives me the teary eyes, no plundering or treasuring can compare to the admiration and companionship from an acquaintance, which continuously inspire each other to pursue ones path and believe
A great example when a side character is done good
They made Bonnet a really great friend of Edward even though he started his assassins journey with him and at the end everything going to fall apart.
In the mission where you escape from prison, i was hiding in a bush and i overheard one regular officer and an agile guard talking about Stede Bonnet, they were talking about how he cried like "a little lamb" at the gallows before being executed, mocking him and laughing, i felt extra guilty because i realised Stede probably entered the pirate life BECAUSE of Edward, insane how Ubisoft hid away a important piece of Bonnet lore in a single exchange of dialogue in a specific mission.
The sad news from you guys are keep coming I can't just imagine that, that's going to be the hardest part for me to play. If Ubisoft showed us the de@#h of Bonnet that would be most traumatic experience.
@@AkSky01 don't worry Ubisoft doesn't actually show Bonnet's death at all, it's just mentioned. (Also, didn't know you were new to the game, I can't believe black flag is actually getting new players ☺️)
No actually I have played this game in 2021 and didn't really care about that much it was amazing even at low settings but now I started playing it again at max, and now I pay attention to everything in this game.
You can read about Steve bonnet when you have to rescue Mary Reed from prison along with rackam and the other guy. He was known as the "gentlemen pirate"
@@highmonkeyfilmz77 yes sure when I'll play that mission I'll keep that in mind to listen to guards.
Ok for those who don’t know, he dies via hanging. In the game, and in real life
@@AkSky01well after Edward said goodbye to bonnet , bonnet became a pirate and stole alof of treasures and stuff and when Edward was in prison, the guards say that he got hanged
@@United_states_of_America7 so according to the theory this is last time Edward meeting him.
@@AkSky01 yes
@@United_states_of_America7You can see him hanged (almost turned into a skeleton). There's even a line of dialogue by Edward if you find Bonnet.
Oh man thats tragic
Stede Bonnet was often referred to as the Gentleman Pirate, in part due to his policy of never taking female prisoners, something he'd picked up from his mentor, Edward Teach (Blackbeard). Hailing from Barbados, being the child of wealthy plantation owners, he was well educated and soon inherited the land, as well as getting married and having 4 children. He purchased a sloop (which was rather uncommon for pirates who'd usually steal them) and left his life on dryland behind. His ship was named the Revenge, and after a damaging battle, Teach took the reins of the ship while he recovered. His piracy career was short, and he had initially been seeking a royal pardon from the North Carolina Governor, seemingly wanting to clear his name and leave piracy behind him. However, he was soon betrayed by Blackbeard who took the loot and left him and his crew stranded, leading to Bonnet returning to piracy to cover what was lost.
On December 10, 1718, Stede Bonnet was hung in Charleston (then Charles Town), South Carolina. It is said when he was hung, not only him but the audience as well were crying heavily.
I'm one of the audience who felt pain for Bonnet, he was the greatest friend of Edward and as we play as Edward so he feel like he's out close friend but that mission really hurt that much.
@@AkSky01 Oh for sure! He was one of my favorite characters in that whole game. That mission was brutal, man. ;-;
@@LegendarySuperSaiyanFennekin I played that mission long time ago and I'll play that with you guys, let's face ready to face that guys.
@@AkSky01 It's been over 10 years since this game came out and close to that since I first played it, good game and awesome writing to still evoke emotion from the audience after so long.
@@LegendarySuperSaiyanFennekin it has more emotions than more movies and games Ubisoft created this different ac game fill it with adventure and emotion and most of stories happened in real life.
this is the very definition of "Maybe The Real Treasure Was the Friends We Made Along the Way"
I felt so bad for Bonnet when I found out he died. I didn't know until I saw him appear at the end as a hallucination, and I was VERY sad to find out he died.
I'm glad he was able to say goodbye like this, at least.
This is the last time Edward meeting him and last scene of Bonnet 😔
Wait WHAT?! How do poor old Bonnet die?
@@AnonymousEnigma19 Bonnet was not just the game charector he was also real life charector which Ubisoft put in game, acording to his story Edward just a side charactor.
@@AnonymousEnigma19 He got executed, I don't remember but you can read it in the Animus Database
@@medbox_enjoyer 🥺 poor Bonnet, I like his character, he felt so pure.
Aye. Good, sincere friends are hard to come by.
Not everyone has friends like Leonard da Vinci amd Bonnet.
I absolutely loved Bonnet. He was one of the most sensible people Edward had ever met. When I heard he was hung I went out of my way to kill every redcoat in the fort they kept Mary and Anne. And when I saw him at the end where Edward saw his fallen friends instead of his crew, I was especially happy to know he considered him a friend.
When Edward saw his fallen crew as daydreaming that's the scene where most of the gamers cried 💔
Bonnet is the saddest die after Blackbeard, because he die in Off Screen, we dont know anything what happen to him, suddenly we heard from a Guard about his dead...😢
Ubisoft kept that mystery because they knew it was going to make the players sad.
I remember reading a comment somewhere that stated he was based on someone who wasn't that good of a pirate himself but was still loved by the people. There were many who tried vouching for him when he was caught, but he still got sent to the gallows anyway. I wish I could remember the actual name of the pirate rn tho.
Found it. Stede Bonnet: The Gentleman Pirate.
@@assassinationspartan_ His name in real life still Bonnet...
@@assassinationspartan_ Yes...Exactly
AC4 is a MASTERPIECE i cannot imagine if it Will not get a remake or at least remaster but i fears modern UBISOFT will screw one of the best game ever
Yes Ubisoft could ruin but at least they could give better graphics
when 14 years old me seeing this, i didn't feel anything but now? feel sad man... in a pirate life where everyone can backstab you at any giving moment...yet 1 crew who treassure you and the time they are together is something more meaningful...but Bonnet decided to become a pirate, judging by how he is during the entire game, he is not build for it. Edward indirectly doom a man.
Losing Bonnet was like losing my own friend, it is hard when you zone yourself into the game and then start feeling like it's your story but that's what makes us more human we're emotional creatures.(we were pirates)
Bonnet found the one piece in Edward
And became his best mamories
Such a shame that he lived shortly after this.
Didn't even knew till i found info about him on wiki.
There's a scene in the mission To Suffer Without Dying where guards have been talking about Bonnet de@th
The best assassins creed game ever made. The story, the lore, the gameplay, the exploration, everything. Absolute masterpiece.
Yes brother it's a Masterpiece and a emotion.
I feel connected to each of the characters up until assassins creed syndicate, especially the one that bid farewell.. how are they..
So many goodbyes in Black Flag 😢 But beautiful ones
It's a pain to lose them one by one
He only lasted a year irl as a pirate
more like sailor.
A great little detail when one of his crew take the wheel, its like bonnet still in stage of learning to captain his own flag
He already had a great life before but he got influenced by his friend Edward so he started training for that.
Ship captains rarely helmed their ships. It was usually the job of a specialized crew member. Edward does because we control Edward and therefore control the ship, but a helmsman was usually its own job on a ship.
Guys if you're watching my video please subscribe, more videos of Assassin creed are coming.
They say bonnet actually was in Jamaica / Kingston when he said just like Mary he was in one of the prison cells his death was also as sad as Mary’s death
I've played games without subtitles for a while now, to record videos and have a more immersive experience. So I completely forgot that they decided to capitalize every Noun, just as they did back in that Period. Such a simple way to add a sense of immersion, like you're more in their mindset instead of your own.
Bonnet is probably the most normal and average character in the whole AC universe. Not an Assassin, nor Templar, no crazy genius or politician. Just a merry merchant, who just sails for well-being of his family.
He was a great friend of Captain Edward same as Ezio's friend Leonardo da Vinci In Assassin's creed 2.
the beginning of edward kenway lost everything, friends, vice captains, and best friends
this is the price of being of a pirate and hoping for more.
Meanwhile Edward doesn't give a shit.
That looks like that. But as an ambitious man he shows us slightly a sad emotion but that wasn't enough.
Not really. Edward's friendship with Stede wasn't really the kind of friendship you notice clearly but he considered him a good friend since very early in the history.
In the book, it's described how glad he felt for Stede's friendship and by leading him to a life in which he really liked.
The prison has never been full of desth body
Until now
Yeah man that's messy.
that was emotional
Yeah bro! He was his first friend.
@@AkSky01no. Edward's first friends were Benjamin Hornigold and James Kidd in the West Indies. He once went to West Indies before the beginning of Black Flag. You can find the whole backstory of Edward Kenway in the Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag official book by Anton Gill
@@AkSky01 did you know this fact? I don't need any heart but your opinion on this
he's the one who took him for pirating/for first mission. didn't know there is a book.
@@AkSky01 yeah but the game shows us Edward's second time being in the West Indies. Before the story of the game started Edward already went to West Indies when he was a teenager.
Btw, Ubisoft had the idea to show the whole teenage life and backstory of Edward like how he went to the West Indies for the first time how's his family where he actually lives etc but Ubisoft thought showing Edward's childhood would be repetitive because Ubisoft had done that many times with other games like AC3, AC2 etc. I really hope Ubisoft would have shown the childhood of Edward
There is absolutely no way this is the "saddest goodbye" to a friend in the same game with Blackbeard's and Mary's deaths in it. For that matter, Hornigold, or finding the skeletons of Vane and Rackham. They're all arguably sadder than this, at least Stede was still alive when they parted ways.
Yeah, you've the point buddy.
Hits me everytime I hear Bonnet speak those words. Too bad he went to pursue piracy even though he was wealthy. Some historian described him perfectly, that he was the worst pirate ever. I know he wanted adventure in his life, but he got greedy too much and paid for it in the end.
Tragic story of the gentleman pirate.
Story of great friendship will always remain in our mind, he supported Edward many times and edward saved him many times, but eventually he wanted to be like his friend edward and...
I suggest everybody to read an article about Stede Bonnet on wiki. His story was bit different than in the game. At least he got executed for his crimes nearby Charleston. He was an interesting man
If memory serves, there's a point of interest later in game where we could investigate what's left of Bonnet's crews (was it his ship as well? I forgot. But it's definitely there)
The fact you all don’t know is bonnet had 4 children and one of his child’s name was Edward Bonnet
haha that's awesome new. may he consider Edward his greatest friend.
to be honest, for me assassins creed 4 was going to be just another assassins creed game, cause i didnt really like 3, but from the point in the story when they decide to restore nassau on, up to the "...if you asked the jackdaw what it was, it would said it was a hawk..." AC4 still hits hard on me after all these years
i miss you brother
at first i also didn't like this game but it protagonist have a different perspective to world he just want to get money he doesn't even care about templars and assassins and that's what make it different and beautiful.
Almost cried At that moment
After getting this much information about the bonnet I didn't played game I knew it's going to fall apart but have to face the truth. As a man we can't do that.so be strong
The real life Stede Bonnet was like a Don Quixote of pirates. He was actually a rich landowner, but he was so inspired by the tales he read or heard about pirates, that he threw away his easy and confortable life (hence he was know as the _gentleman pirate_ , not because he behaved as a gentleman, but because of his socio-economic background) and aspired to become a pirate just to seek adventure. His wishes were granted. He did become a pirate. He did have adventures like a pirate. He was arrested for privacy. He was executed for privacy.
But his de@th never reveals like Blackbeard, it was like a hint that he's not anymore.
Me watching this after finishing our flag means death 🥺
At least his death was more humane than Blackbeards.
This makes me sad after finding out later. 😢
The Last goodbye to a friend 💔
If Edward wasn’t arrested and knew about Bonnet’s capture he would of 100% went to save him
@@Vision-lz4ru 100% Edward was after Robert and got captured that's the 1 reason other is bonnet was trying to the pirate thing even he wasnt one of em, so he got captured.
Still the best AC game❤
Top 10 saddest goodbyes
...Where all OG gamers cried 😥
I could live my life happy whitout knowing he got hanged off screen after this goodbye :(
I'll upload full cut for that soon.
Hurts even more knowing Bonnet was hanged not long after this
That's heartbreaking man.
Until we meet again, Bonnet.
That's just heart breaking 💔🥲
He did not last very long as a pirate... but then again what can you expect when your ship has no cannons?
That's the great detail right there.
I wish the golden flintlocks were in replay.
Maybe next time.
@@AkSky01 Aye.
I hated that he died. Bonnet should never had been a pirate. The man had a business and a family.
When Edward saved him and Blackbeard in a mission that was the time when bonnet got influenced by Edward and tried to be like him and that didn't end well, we will see in the next videos.
Yeah. The very same happened to Bonnet in real life. He sailed for Blackbeard and got caught and killed him for piracy. It's a very sad story. He was a sugar merchant.
Tnx a lot for 10 rupees redeem 😂 code ❤❤❤❤ tnx
😄😄👍
Edward ruined his life
He just got inspired by his friend and chose the path of danger without even telling Edward. And face the consequences .
@@AkSky01 he just didn’t know what he was doing and what he wanted, he was inspired by Edward and ended up on the gallows. If they hadn't met he would have lived a long life. Edward encouraged him to leave his family and go to Nassau + he saw that such a life was not for him and did nothing to stop him, on the contrary, he supported him
He didn’t deserve to die
We can't control fade, and Ubisoft shows us the real story of two best friends which is heartbreaking.
How did you get that flag pirate
@@ahmadsyauqi6485 it's free but you have to snach it.
how do you get this sails ?

How do you get those sales. 0:23
By completing side quest.
@@AkSky01Is it still available.
@@AuDHDNovaScotian31 yes of course
As a matter of fact, the AC4 Templar Armor is still one of the best in the series in design and by the missions to to unlock it
And I'll die on a hilltop with my opinion if I must
Not just captain Edward physic but it also match with his philosophy the why he's neutral in both side templar and assassins, he always look up to profit and money.
@@AkSky01 That is right until the end of course, when he sees the consequences of his selfish actions, especially how they affected those who were close to him.
But it was too late even when he redeemed himself in the end the effects of his actions no longer had any stop, and he died with almost everyone he loved dead, his daughter hating him and his son being kidnapped and indoctrinated to do exactly what he spent his life fighting to do.
A real classic tragedy, and that's why I love his story, even though I wish Edward had a happy ending, his ending was the right one.
Don't know about his ending much, but I like him because he's the man of ambitious and of course it makes him lose much many things but he's been through something in past.
Sad knowing he got hung
Bro who 🤯🤯😶🌫
@@AkSky01 In the prison you learn that Bonnet got hung
I won't let that happen, I will destroy templar's forts every templar ship, but I will save that one friend 🥲
