@ 17:57 is how I feel now. Super awesome to see this. Not for BOAB but selfishly for myself. THANK YOU for coming back giving us boat content. I'm getting really really good vibes. Cool people and a boat!
Great video! thank Thomas for allowing you to show us his boat . I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos and learning more about the boat and your day-to-day activities
Hey Joel, Great subject content, producing, editing, filming. You hit a home run with this one. Can't wait to see more like it. Love the simplicity of Tom's boat with systems that are designed for making things easier to fix without relying on speciality parts and speciality mechanics/technicians. Tom has really thought out everything for every situation. It would be cool to have 35' version of his boat with the same set-up, just scaled down.
Glad to see you back Joel, how is Chak Matay? This new boat you are on, looks epic, I love old big boat like this, can't wait to watch more adventures from you.
Well, you are back...looking back to your original sail to the present...could you even imagine where you are now. The Sailing channel, The Rigging Doctor, is very similar to Ciganta, so you are not the only ones. The Rigging Doctors say the Earth is flat...what do you and Thomas think? I'm looking forward to seeing Ciganta out at sea
@@Bumsonaboat I am a new covert to the flat earth community myself. There sure is a lot of evidence to support the flat earth theory and the globe theory falls flat on its face. I can hardly watch "Star Trek" anymore...{me tearful}. Rocket Science is not required or No Lab Coat is Needed. The YT channel Divergent does a nice job...While you are at it you will learn about the Great Tartaria and the last great Reset that happened a mere 300 years ago. You will ask yourself what is the truth about U.S. history...Did the American Revolution even happen? "History is a set of lies that everyone agrees on"... Napoleon Bonaparte [if he really existed]
Yous to saol a 68 OA foot ketch one out , Jacaranda , Loved a bit of wind , Just had to think ahead . If you thought about reefing do it , But could handle a blow by easing every thing.
Hello ~ Just wanted to let you know it is not a Tom Colvin designed. We , Thomas & Linda, drew up and designed the ship ourselves and then took our plans to Bruce Roberts to he could put it in his AutoCad program to print out full size frame patterns. Enjoy ~
THE Joel is back! And I'm happy he's transitioned. What an invaluable experience you are about to have with a Cool couple. Soak it all in! You can't buy this.
I was anchored next to them a few years ago in the Dominican, Republic. There are many episodes documenting our first meeting. Thomas helped fix our diesel engine!
LOL You are true to your youtube name. I'll be back on Chak Matay before you know it but you might be surprised at how epic things turn out while on Ciganka.
I know you decided to change your channel name, and then changed it back to "Bums on a Boat", but seeing as it is just you now... you should consider changing it to "Bum on a Boat".
I love how this couple do things, well thought thru and you don't need all the latest gadgets to go sailing.
Joel, I remember your very 1st video and have been with you ever since. It’s always been about you and always will be. Keep on keeping on.
Amazing! That is over 6 years now. Thank you for being with me soooo loooong. I'll keep er going:)
BOAB - Back On A Boat! Good to see you back on the water again.

And it’s good to have you back on the boat. Happy Sails 👋🏻
Lots of classic equipment. Fun stuff. So excited for you Joel.
LET'S GO BABY! Great episode!

Top man, so good to see you back.
Let's go baby!
God bless you brother 🙏
I remember this couple from the days of the engine rebuild. You rock and are moving forward. GL to you, mate.
The boat looks awesome; have a great time!
Can you add the link to the 1st video about the boat? Thanks for keeping on.
Great video! thank Thomas for allowing you to show us his boat . I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos and learning more about the boat and your day-to-day activities
Wow! Looks like there's a lot to learn! You are gonna learn a lot by the time you are done.
Dude, Thomas and Lynda are blowing my mind 🤯
Love your energy dude! Great jump to another great boab adventure. I am totally on for the ride.
So happy for you. Excite to see what you share with us.
Woo Hoo! Can't wait to check in with all of you on another zoom call to see how everybody else is progressing.
happy youre back !
Happy to be back. Miss you guys!
Hi Joel, welcome back to boat life. Been here from the start. I don't know what happened to your lady, but seeing you bouncing back is good.
Glad you got your senses back
Perfect Joel. What a perfect scenario and interesting for us also. Loving this. Mike

Haven’t seen your channel in a while, good to see you back at it. Thats a cool boat and that dude thomas sharp. Thanks for sharing
My favorite thing was to go up the mast! The engineering on this boat is so interesting; can’t wait to see how it goes!
Captain knows best, but WD-40 is a poor lube. Mineral oil can be applied after a WD treatment and will provide better friction protection...
We are not using WD-40, we are using white lithium grease. Thanks ~
Good eye and like Admiral Linda says, it is white lithium grease. Thomas agrees that WD is no good for that application.
I was worried too at first, then I noticed it was a WD-40 product but not the traditional penetrating oil. Good choice.
Joel, what an incredible experience to have, especially as a free spirit! I love these experiences that you are having.
Another great video. Well done and great to see you doing what you do best.
So excited for you!
Really looking forward to more videos, you are doing great
Nice 👍
Glad to see you back Joel, how is Chak Matay? This new boat you are on, looks epic, I love old big boat like this, can't wait to watch more adventures from you.
Great to be back. Chak Matay is doing great and I can't wait to return to her. Heading back after this charter season ready to give her some love.
Hi Joel, good to see you looking so well. Can be hard work some times living the dream. Cheers.
loved it! Get creative with that intro!
Got the creative juices flowing in the next intro.
Sweet!
That was cool. I’m looking forward to these next episodes. Thomas is a brain storm!

Well Thomas does agree with the Rigging Doctors. They are both amazingly smart people. I am intrigued but not quite sure myself.

You heard it from the Admiral herself!
THE Joel is back! And I'm happy he's transitioned. What an invaluable experience you are about to have with a Cool couple. Soak it all in! You can't buy this.
When talking about Joel...Please don't say TRANSITIONED! I prefer healed and ready for new life.
So interesting.
I'm sure there's room for me too...
Lol there is room for 25. That is the most boy scouts they have taken out at one time!
WD40, means: Water displacement experiment #40. this chem. is made for rocket cylinders(metal) to repel water(rust), now there are a dozen mixes..
How did you guys meet? Thomas and Linda?
I was anchored next to them a few years ago in the Dominican, Republic. There are many episodes documenting our first meeting. Thomas helped fix our diesel engine!
@@Bumsonaboat I remember the Riser problem
How tall is that mast? We'll being a gaffer and ketch she might not be all that much work.
Thomas and Linda built it just short enough to be able to make the ICW. I believe somewhere around 63 feet.
I prefer Joel on his own boat !
LOL You are true to your youtube name. I'll be back on Chak Matay before you know it but you might be surprised at how epic things turn out while on Ciganka.
@@Bumsonaboat Best of luck i will be watching !
Damn he doubled his lexapro and adderrol dose again.
When you going back to your boat ?
After this charter season near the end of August.
This could be fun, about time Joel moved on properly, a new chapter not just a new page!
What happened to the lady who say this the tales of????
Dang! Good catch. I forgot to put her in. She will be back.
I know you decided to change your channel name, and then changed it back to "Bums on a Boat", but seeing as it is just you now... you should consider changing it to "Bum on a Boat".
