- Swedish band Refused members Dennis Lyxzén and David Sandström recently guested on Records In My Life. We met with the guys before their show at the Commodore Ballroom and their wonderful quote on Green day (happened later) in Vancouver B.C. Refused were touring behind their current release War Music, now out via Spinefarm Records The band famous for their album The Shape Of Punk To Come, Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent and This Just Might Be... the Truth, talked about some of their favourite albums, by artists such as Minor Threat, Slayer, Duke Ellington, DOA, David Bowie, and more. I got lucky enough to meet both David and Dennis before Refused shows 3 times. They're very nice, accommodating people. They're intelligent and like to listen and converse. Easy people to talk to, even though they've been heroes of mine. Makes them more heroic to me because of the people they actually are. Get to a Refused show and get there two hours before the show starts, they'll be wandering around outside and aren't afraid to be recognized or talked to.

Dennis, caught a drumstick from a set u guys did in Melbourne with international noise conspiracy supporting rise against, one of the few memories in my life I can take to my grave and smile about

This show in Vancouver with Refused and Metz was the last concert I went to before the world went into lockdown. Wouldn't have been a bad show to be my last.
