I am a total beginner to coloured pencils and found you by googling ‘fox in polychromes coloured pencils’ and I am glad I did. I will practice a few techniques before colouring a fox I drew the outline of the other day. Thank you for giving us so much help, Amie, I love your artwork x
Absolutely gorgeous! I am trying to work on my drawing skills and I am just amazed. I love foxes and I hope someday I can make something as good as that
This is so beautiful. You are an extremely talented artist. I was just wondered if you had a link for the reference photo? If not that's fine. You are amazing!! xx
This is so realistic Im excited to make mine It looks fantastic keep up the great work im just 9 yo and my dream is to be an artist Thank u so much for making this video it helps me alot
Great video as always! I can't wait to see your vid on how you use the grid and transfer method as I've never used the grid before, I do transfer my work as you do though. I tend to draw my piece onto tracing paper first, I don't know why its just how I do it. I do the drawing until it looks right then just transfer it to the paper. I guess its the same way as you without the cartridge paper and grid. Beautiful drawing! As always! Thanks Amie😊
What a beautiful work of art. Your amazing. Your Patreon site is fantastic. Can't say enough good things about it. Your way of teaching is so easy to follow. Thank you so much!
You are Amazing artist, I love drawing animals snd I hope to get as good as you, I am doing courses. I'm doing a dog portrait at the moment and I really like grid techniques because I struggle with proportions, it's my Achilles heel.
@@Amiehowardart Hi Amie, thanks for your reply, my art tutor told me about it because it helps break down a drawing that seems huge to a beginner and quite daunting !! But also correct proportions, it's my weakness, only one thankfully although I'm still learning, I'm still a beginner in some aspects like coloured pencils, it was one lesson on the 1st course I did which was great place to start as he touched on everything in the course, also soft pastels as well as graphite & charcoal. I'm on doing pen and ink at the moment, then I'll do graphite course as that is a natural progression for me, pen & ink was kind of like a side course because I did a whole drawing with stippling and I'm doing another one. I know it took a lot of patience lol, but I would pick up and put down and I just love the effect of it.
Hello, Amie! I loved it. Newsflash....I've got your free Tiger Eye tutorial. I've been drawing along since I've got the video. I never had so much fun as I am having drawing along with your tutorial video. Well, I didn't have all the materials you've used. But I used everything I have. I've tagged you on instagram. I'd like to share my progress with you. And I'd like to say THANK YOU for encouraging us.
Very nice work, quite professional! I have had to resort to using an opaque projector as freehand drawing just takes to long and when working to a deadline you have to find ways to cut the time factor down to a manageable increments. When every piece you do can mean making money on a job or losing money, you learn to use whatever you can to make your life easier! Projectors have become so much cheaper than when I got started! Much sharper imagery too! I am also looking forward to your channel getting more attention as well.
Amy what is the difference of becoming a patreon or signing up for your website yearly membership. Are they the same or different, any benefits of one over the other? Thank you and I really enjoyed the free tiger art class.
Website subscribers receive a welcome box with goodies :) my website subscription is the same as a $14 Patreon tier subscription :) about 3-4 tutorials per month
HI Amie that fox looks so real, you see colours I can't see, When you do patreon do you say what colour you are using ?? Thanks for all your videos they are great.
Im so sorry, but how can you handle, not removing the stickers on the pencils 😂🙈 That's always the first thing I do when I order pencils 😋 Anyyyhow, I loved this tutorial ❤ Especially the yes really stand out to me, and you've included some really great tips 😍 The purple tones really makes the fur look vibrant 😃
Hi amie if you look at Colin Bradley web site pastel artist. He sells square drawing kit, which contains 3 transparent grids and paper already marked which. can printed on to your paper if printer will cope with thicker paper may be useful not having to grid just print a few sheet off when required.
It is beautiful but i cant follow sometimes. For ex. at the eye you colored a very light yellow and the next second is almost the whole eye done. But i think you’re drawing talents are great
I feel the same, it's just the easiest thing for me to do when I'm doing an animal portrait, the one I'm doing now is my 3rd dog, all 3 were gifts and it was a great practice for me.
I like to use prismacolours, but sometimes when I'm WAY too deep in my drawing, I get fumbly and drop them... (if you know what happens to prismacolours when you drop them, then you'd understand my pain.)
The drawing is amazing but what I don’t like about the video is that she keeps cutting out some bits. When I was watching her color the fox’s eye she was coloring it then out of no where she was nearly done I’m not hating I just feel like if she didn’t cut out some bits it would of helped a little bit more
I liked ALL of it. 😄 Thank you. 🙏💖
Gosh that was wonderful to see the fox come alive before your eyes. Wonderful.
Your fox is beautiful.
I love foxies, you bring your drawing of one to life on the page, i intend to follow your tutorials.
Thanks so much! Make sure you tag me on Instagram if you give one a go 😄😄

I find the grid method best 😁 it’s great for proportion and builds confidence for freehand 😊
