- Walking in two worlds but truly belonging to neither, half-elves combine what some say are the best qualities of their elf and human parents: human curiosity, inventiveness, and ambition tempered by the refined senses, love of nature, and artistic tastes of the elves. Some half-elves live among humans, set apart by their emotional and physical differences, watching friends and loved ones age while time barely touches them. Others live with the elves, growing restless as they reach adulthood in the timeless elven realms, while their peers continue to live as children. Many half-elves, unable to fit into either society, choose lives of solitary wandering or join with other misfits and outcasts in the adventuring life.

Always felt half elf my whole life. Not sure how I look to others. Love these videos.
I would argue certain level 1 characters like acolytes paladins and clerics or Heirs to realms that interact a lot with celestials and gods would know celestial perhaps.
Yeah my tortle cleric spent 35 years as a priest in Baldurs gate, he picked up celestial as a level 1 cleric in his backstory.
I‘m gonna be a Half-Woodelf Paladin in our next compaign. My favorite character I’ve created I think. I really relate to Half-Elf’s personally
With the new crazy elf subraces and the tasha's cauldron to everything (which did the opposite of favoring them because now you have versatility on all races) now the half elves aren't as prominent. I have seen countless of half elves warlocks and now I'm having a lot of other races as warlocks and other charisma based classes on my tables, is wonderful. Half elves are still viable but not top tier at all if you use the new rules of tasha's (a lot of great combos and nice roleplaying races easily top the half elf).
One of my characters is a half elf.. a bit of a rogue.. his name is Archer..he does and he does not dress like an elf it's a mix of human and elf dress.. he also is quite the swordsman..
Does he use short swords and just switch weapons all the time? Or does he hate people with a hero complex?
My fire genasi Eldridge Knight knows both infernal and celestial, he knows them because his father is a Bard / sorcerer and his sisters are and aasamar and tiefling respectively
Out of curiosity are there also the other 3 genasi in your PC's family line?

Lorewise would the normal Half Elf be a Half Elf that comes from 2 half elves since there is also half high and wood elf as well as half drow?

No they are just half elfs that took the skills instead of a decent ability
Especially the half elf drow are fine.
I have two half-elf’s and one full elf but it’s hard to get their stories straight 😢
