This is gold. It would be nice if you add recent footage from newer content like H2A, H5G, FUD, Nightfall, and all the live-action/CGI trailers. It would be a great way to get people in the mood of Halo 6.
I love this speech. He's basically saying the human race is so bad ass, we are the the protectors of the universe, taking away the title from the Forerunners.
+Andy B Not our humanity he refers to. Besides, he's a bit of a sore looser and he (and others) have jumped to conclusions regarding humanity resulting in a war that allowed the flood wreck them. So much for being advanced and wise. Also, once more, so much for stealing that mantle as well (and i'm not talking about humans again, but about the forerunners themselves before with their fore bearers). Never liked him or his blind arrogance and his defeat was sweet. On that aspect i think the pooch was screwed, his race should of had remained the wise and dedicated race implied in the first games, now, those that chose reckless war show that they are not. It also reminds me of Zeus, the Titans, and the elder gods, the Greek pantheon, and considering how many tales were spun from that, at the end of its run Halo won't look as cool as it could of had been.
+FabeoJohnson Jog To be honest, his speech is kinda weak. The only thing making it sound even remotely cool is the voice they gave him (which holds a god honest badass sound effect!) He's just a sore loser like aserta said, literally just a butthurt dictator. He's pissed that we Mankind are more responsible as a species than his kind, and that the war that he brought on us caused his species downfall. That is apparent with how Didact acted the moment he woke up: he dominated the other creatures in his presence (the elites) instead of being like someone actually wise (let's say Jesus) and be like "Chill y'all I got this by myself". He then, like a teenager holding a grudge, attacked the only human in his presence instead of being like "Holy fuck you guys are still around?!" So in other words, the guy is pissed at us, is in denial on what is freaking obvious, and he's being a bitch about it. That, is his 'epic speech'.
+Peusterokos1 Not many people seem to get the Didact. Maybe because they haven't read the books, i don't know, but once you know his backstory, it becomes much easier to appreciate him as a villain and his speech in this video. The humans attacked the Forerunners first in the ancient war, not the other way around. Of course, this was to make up for all of the planets they lost to the Flood, as well cleanse traces of the Flood from infected planets. The Didact had to fight the humans for millennia, had his children killed in the war, sent into exile, revived by associates of the Librarian, captured by the flood, had his mind ravaged, escaped and in the end was reduced to a deranged psychopath, traumatised by his time with the Gravemind. He viewed humanity personally responsible for all of his misfortunes and decided that they would make up for their crimes, by being assimilated into his army and help him fight the flood. The Librarian thinks humanity should ascend to the Mantle, as was always intended by the Precursors, whereas Didact believes they are too destructive and that Forerunners should remain the ruling force. So, all things considered, i think he very much has a reasonable motive for acting the way he does and his speech reflects that. I'd take him over Evil Cortana any damned day of the week. By the way, Humans were never that great. They weren't back then and they still aren't now. ONI is a prime example of this.
In reality the forerunners are the bad guys they were never supposed to get the mantle it was supposed to be humans but the forerunners stole it from them
And that's why Halo will always be infinitely better than Call of Duty.
by far the greatest enemy in any game, because of his cunning and monstorous features, and his intellect and belief.
JT I feel like the gravemind was more menacing but thats just my opinion.
@@beserker9890 A fair opinion. One I might now agree with when I think about it
@@beserker9890 I find them both great
That was beautiful.
The nostalgia levels are at 117.
This is amazing:3

I love this speech. He's basically saying the human race is so bad ass, we are the the protectors of the universe, taking away the title from the Forerunners.
No, he is saying humans are stealing their technological advancements as their own, and that makes them dangerous.

ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL
Wow. You definitely have a talent with editing my friend!
Thanks, man :)
This is an underappreciated video. And with halo infinite coming it's even better.
:'( I feel so old...
Dude i'm subbing. That proved to me not only that Neil Davidge's work is Halo worthy, that this is the best damn game series ever.
This is amazing!
You know what makes me sad about this video Gugga? The fact that you only have 200 subs... :\ Your work deserves more than that.
Mother of nostalgia . . .
