“Why this old thing, I only wear it when I don’t care how I look” 💗
Great scene.
❤️
@@VICTORIAPAVLOVA77I’m watching this now 🎄❤️
I cry every time
So cute when the boys come downstairs carrying their mom on their shoulders and the dad and Annie applaud for them.
Annie the housekeeper always made me laugh. She spoke her mind and was a member of the family, love her eavesdropping and the Baileys were used to it and smiled 😃
I have always loved that george treated violet respectfully and never made any sort of derogatory comments towards her and gave her money when he didn't have much as friends and didn't make any flirty moves on her though she flirted with him
Mr. Bailey is like so many good men who are fathers. They toil at jobs trying to improve things, even if it is just for their little part of the world. They cheer on their sons and want them to do better. This movie does a good job of pointing out that rich is a relative term.
Certainly so.
Ditto on that 😊
Ive watched this film at least more than 100 times and the last scene gets me everytime
Me too although probably only watched it 3 or 4 times. It is one of my favourite films of all time.
6:50 In many ways George was his father's guardian angel. His father was so selfless that he could tell George has big dreams and instead of holding him down and convincing him to stay, he wanted his son to have the best life even if it meant it would be harder on himself. And George reciprocates by not only telling his father that he was a great guy but also ends up saving his business and keep his legacy alive even after death. And in the meeting with the board, he tells Potter that his Dad was richer than Potter ever could be which is a similar line that Harry tells George at the end. I think George realizes how much of his father he saw in himself.
I like how the entire movie is a briefing for Clarences mission to save George Bailey from his Angel CO
Such a classy movie
I love this film yet its so true to the consequences of life its often too painful to enjoy
My favorite line in the movie........ward bond gets a good look at gloria grahm.......jimmy and ward look at each other.......and ward says......i think im going home and see what the wifes doing !!!....
I knew his plan 😅
I guess he was a family man.
My great-grandfather and my grandfather had the same conversations at the table about the family business in the 1930s my grandfather graduated college and went to war right after in 1944 then he came home a hero and took over the family business for 40 years
thank you!!
Violet must've gotten Bert in the mood to check on his wife! 😂😂😂😂
0:03 The "noooooo, no no, nope nope" cracks me up!
Love this film
2:07 that’s considered a provocative dress in 1946.
Crazy times back then. I guess old movies were the closest thing to a time machine.
As cool as it is to see it in color, I miss the old black and white version. For me anyways.
I put this movie on about once a month for like 30 minutes. I never got the squirrel & crow in the Baileys Building and Loan...
The original Bert and Ernie
Okay, where is the jumping off the bridge where the Angel saves him? There are important scenes that seems missing.😊
1:30 I wish I had a Million Dollars. Hot Dog!
If I had a €1000000.00c I'd give €250000.00c each to my Mother and Father. €100000.00c to my Sister and I'd keep the rest for myself.
Sometimes I picture her dress blue, and sometimes yellow. But never pink.
Too bad I couldn’t watch scene 8 before it was taken down.
🙂👍
Just read about the woman who played Violet. What a cute face. And what a shame she got addicted to plastic surgery and ruined her beauty. I feel sorry for people with obsessions like that. They literally see something different in the mirror from what everyone else sees.
Nice... except colorising this classic film should be considered a SIN. xD
😅
Why are all girls in this movie in love with MR. Belly?
Because he’s cute lol.

3:26 crazy how racist films were back then
How is that racist?
How ??
Because their cook/ house keeper is black?
She wasn’t a slave….
She simply worked there and they included her a part of the family…
You are warped if you think that is racist
What are u talking about
I mean there was nothing racist about that but if you wanna be technical… This movie was made in 1946 and most people were racist morons in 1946 but I do not think that was anything bad. I mean, he could’ve grabbed the broom and hit her. 🤷🏻♀️💯
That’s honestly what’s wrong with this cancel culture today everyone sees movies that have been playing for decades and they want to pick it apart and make it not enjoyable anymore and it’s honestly very annoying
We get that life was very hard back then how about you? Stop griping over how much everybody suffered and start appreciating how far everybody’s come sure we have a lot. We still need to do and there’s a lot of people that still need to be educated but griping on things that have already happened is gonna get everyone nowhere that’s why we’re stuck. 💯
Do you feel she was a stereotype? I mean I understand but in 1946 a lot of African Americans were in service....(See the movie The Help) though this film takes place in upstate New York. I guess they could've had a white maid.....1946 is the same year Disney released SONG OF THE SOUTH....
