I'm 52yo and this is my first time seeing this movie. Absolutely astounded!

Like many, i discovered this movie during Xmas when television would be filled with all those holiday classics. Being blak and white, i first took it as not worthy to watch. I found myself unable to not turn off. It especially reminded me of my mothers family and my very very early childhood. A pure joy to me. The best xmas movie by far!!

No matter how many times I watch this movie, it makes me laugh and cry everytime. The part where he says "What do you know about that Ernie" and hugs him, my heart just feels like it is going to burst with happiness.

The building of these homes was in the 1930s. Think of all of the work that was provided to build these homes. The building and loan gave a lot of jobs to people who really needed them

Annie the housekeeper always made me laugh. She spoke her mind and was a member of the family, love her eavesdropping and the Baileys were used to it and smiled 😃

Just read about the woman who played Violet. What a cute face. And what a shame she got addicted to plastic surgery and ruined her beauty. I feel sorry for people with obsessions like that. They literally see something different in the mirror from what everyone else sees.

My great-grandfather and my grandfather had the same conversations at the table about the family business in the 1930s my grandfather graduated college and went to war right after in 1944 then he came home a hero and took over the family business for 40 years

They didn't have to go this hard with this ending but I'm glad that they did
