Good luck finding the sway bar bushings! I have an R63 and mine were bad the same way and I could not find any. I'm not a professional mechanic just a serious do-it-yourselfer. I had a b class. They're great cars that got a terrible reputation because of the CVT transmission especially the electronics. Mine was manual transmission. Did the clutch myself which basically required the engine to come out either from the front after removing bumper and a bunch of stuff. Usually this is done by dropping the engine but I didn't have a hoist. Had to get most parts from Germany which was still much cheaper than from a Canadian Benz dealer. Quite challenging but well worth it. Sold it and the new owner is still very happy with it. No real point to this story other than fixing it at the dealer would have been more than the price of the vehicle.

Here’s a life hack. Get some PTFE tape and wrap it around the sway bar where the sway bar bushing goes. It tightens up the slop inside the bushing and decreases friction and binding through articulation.
Save even more money for bushing noise: Use RUST CHECK spray on all rubber components in the suspension. This product creeps into the tightest areas to lubricate, waterproof and preserve the rubber. It's a Canadian product (Rustolium is the parent company) I've been using it for over 20 years on my cars and have never had any noises from the suspension. Only about $12 a can.
Pull a vacuum on the oil filler. No oil escapes until you turn off the vacuum source. I use this on my diesel truck and it makes changing oil and filter a no mess operation.
Early on a Sunday morning I took my new 2012 E63 (with 2,500 miles on it) out to the NJ Turnpike and brought it up to 182 mph. The car was very smooth but it was still very scary. Previous owner Seth must be quit a good engineer to be able to make those special tools & do such a good job on this amazing machine. My son in law bought an Audi A4 sport black edition for a few months, he has thankfully come back to the Mercedes fold with a C class AMG Line 2.5 Diesel.
We have own our R63 since 2011, we’re the second owners (34k miles) now 119k. 90% of the repairs done at our local dealers. (Were on our third extended warranty) I do most the simple maintenance or items not covered by the extended warranty. The biggest frustration for me was the power rear gate, it has never worked properly even though my extended warranty‘s and mySelf have spent nearly $10,000 yet the gate does not work properly worked 100% of the time Mercedes North America basically washed their hands of it and kept the money for the repairs that did not solve the problem. When my extended warranty ends I will find another source for repairs I must say if the computer can’t tell the dealers mechanics what’s wrong they have no clue on how to problem solve. I have confronted the dealer many times on suggestions for repairs explaining to them that there’s no way that part that they recommend to replace is the source of the problem and I was correct. Also one of my local dealers pads the repair hours above the recommended time provided to them, I confirmed this by calling other Mercedes-Benz dealer‘s in our state, they quoted that stated book repair time, unfortunately it’s an hour and a half drive away. My extended warranty company only pays the stated time so my deductible is greater taking this into consideration. I reached out to Mercedes North America they don’t care. Too bad Mercedes-Benz of North America does not care about the individual customer just the aggregate sales and the façade of their great product.
Hey Alex, you inspired me to pick up an 04 e55 amg. There’s a few things wrong with it. Like the keyless start not working or the walk up unlock buttons on the handles and the panoramic sunroof. Could you please help or recommend any videos to help with these issues. Loves all your videos man. Keep up the great work. 🤙
15:18 I just wanted to ask if the Mercedes computers shut down the injector after a couple of misfires in a row with a cylinder or within a short period of time until the problem with that cylinder misfire is corrected or the code is erased? I know BMW does this for preventative problems with the cylinder no longer getting fuel if the cylinder isn't igniting for what ever reason. I believe this is one of the reasons people complain about BMW lights coming on and there being a problem more often than some cars. But not realizing it is actually saving the engine from possible destruction if it were to leave the injector pumping fuel.
I love this car! Especially about ten years ago it was so scary. Too bad nowadays it’s not that fast anymore it’s more like a collector item. Straight up unicorn! always will be
I had bad injectors on a W211 E63 that weren’t stuck open but the opposite. Easiest way to check for a bad injector is to get a multimeter and see if the resistance is above 15 ohms or so. Had a bad one at 25 kOhms so replaced them all; was causing a misfire too.
Honestly I found that owning a Merc after the middle of the 124 chassis was a pain in the butt, I still have W116 and 107 chassis cars and id consider a late W126 but unless its less than 5 years old im now driving Volvo's.
Found I had left the washer off once. Couldn't be bothered to drain the oil again so I just stuffed the vacuum cleaner hose into the oil filler and sealed it with a rag. Replaced the washer without spilling a drop. Did the same thing again recently when I had to change the oil temp sensor on my e39 m5
It looks like there is a GDP Sticker in the windscreen (It should say "Polizei Dein Partner") Was this car ever in Germany or is a former owner related to a German?

Have you looked at a professional Injector rebuild vs. replacement? There is an awesome shop in Colorado (Wheat Ridge, CO)I have used for a Mitsubishi, but it might be worth an call to see if he could do the Mercedes injectors.
Switch to LiquiMoly, I have done it on all of my German Sleds and it made a major difference on Start-UP. No clatter chatty chitty bang bang. Oops hear that owner has already switched it to LiquiMoly. Use the Hengst filter.

I am dying, "By the taste of it..." Hilarious!
Previous owner Seth must be quit a good engineer to be able to make those special tools & do such a good job on this amazing machine. My son in law bought an Audi A4 sport black edition for a few months, he has thankfully come back to the Mercedes fold with a C class AMG Line 2.5 Diesel.
If you want to remove the sump plug without oil draining use a cloth to wedge a vacuum in the oil filler. The vacuum stops the oil flowing out
Came here a 2018 for the C63 and m156 videos.... and glad your doing more!
About 105mph in traffic in Southern California (on the 405) until the stress wore me out. It was in my Nissan 370Z.
Big BIG kudos to Seth!
Damn that 6.3 fits soo much tighter in the R-class. Good luck at getting at the injectors.
Loved the video a lot ! Great job done again 👍👍👍😀
OMG i wandered what happened to this car! very excited to see More R63 AMG Content !!!!!!! Thanks
I’m getting ready to replace my sway bar bushings along with the links, center link and tie rod ends.

19:05 We're just gunna sit here and pretend that's not a Hint? ;)
Sounds like a bag of spanners from cold.
My Honda is near silent. I had a w211 e270 as my last car. Nothing but trouble with it. Lovely drive though.
It looks like there is a GDP Sticker in the windscreen (It should say "Polizei Dein Partner") Was this car ever in Germany or is a former owner related to a German?
It is exactly that! Secured years ago and have one in each car.
140mph, rental Opel Omega from Grafenwoehr to Heidelberg Germany nearly 20 years ago.
I love watching your videos considering im from the northwest suburbs. I noticed you were driving on Touhy in the video lol! #LegitStreetCars4Life ❤️💪🏼
Have you looked at a professional Injector rebuild vs. replacement? There is an awesome shop in Colorado (Wheat Ridge, CO)I have used for a Mitsubishi, but it might be worth an call to see if he could do the Mercedes injectors.
Switch to LiquiMoly, I have done it on all of my German Sleds and it made a major difference on Start-UP. No clatter chatty chitty bang bang. Oops hear that owner has already switched it to LiquiMoly. Use the Hengst filter.
Hey I saw my face and video @14:56 as always great videos, you are one of the reasons I started my channel!
After getting our W219 M156 my wife want's a R63
