@Demoniq Valle is a good player who plays for the fun, and only for the fun. Daigo's a pro, who plays with people behind him who pay him to be the best, and thus expect the best out of him to earn money, lots of money. That said, you'll understand why Daigo can somewhat appear to be "on the decline". Imagine how he must feel while playing a tournament, given the stakes he plays for. He's not just a good player who comes, plays and goes home when done. It's more than a hobby to him : it's a job.
Daigo attempted playing Ryu against Kazunoko's Yun before. He won 2 out of 25 sets. Frankly, he should just choose a new character all together that's strong and footsies based after the balance patch (I recommend Ken since he's a footsies monster).
it's too bad Diago has to run into his good friend Kazunoko. He owns a overwhelming record against Diago in their Yun mirror matchups. Sad about the outcome but not surprised.
I swear, Yun... I notice people who defend him or someone else (like fei) usually have 1 or more of the following trait They use him (because if you use the character that makes him or her balanced...) Under 1500 BP (so you cant possibly battle the people who exploit the reason the character is bad) Recommend picking characters proven to be counters (in a competitive game skill should have the say on who wins NOT WHO YOU USE) this is just IMO (waiting for the "your opinion dont matter" reply
Poor Daigo. That's what happens when you reach that level: every opponent is the underdog, so when he gets defeated, it's a big deal. Lately, he's become a pushover...or so it seems. But the fact is; everyone else just got better.

Fei Long is the best in AE, many players in Japan have thought so for a long time and I always agreed with that by seeing Fei's damage and his Rekka's, and other things of the sort. MvC2 on the other hand, Storm is the proven best. She has no bad matchups.
@TEEN1DOL obviously that yang player didnt know how to play against sim, also, yun is way harder to antiair than yang, and he has that insane EX dash that reaches you full screen and is not punishable.
