Great video! Pacino had a lot of amazing movies hardly talked about here. Scent of a Woman, Carlito’s Way, Devil’s Advocate, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Insomnia. I think Deniro’s movies are timeless because of Scorsese. I feel like Pacino has more range and can do very different things.

Pacino all the way, imo not only is Pacino better than De Niro but the best actor in modern cinema. I'd say best actor of all time but I have not seen every single actor in all of history before cinema, but I still think he is the best of all time. 2nd, Pacino has the most iconic character of all time in Michael Corleone and Tony Montana, Michael is the best fictional character imo and TGF films are the best films of all time imo. 3rd, Pacino has amazing range, he is the only actor I know who can play a gangster but play them all so differently: Michael Corleone, Tony Montana, and Lefty Ruggiero. De Niro plays the same character in every film, gangster, criminal, cop, or blue collar honest father, they are all the same characters. 4th and last, Pacino has not stopped being amazing, look at him in The Irishman, he stole that film from everyone. When he died, the film lulled without him. Even prior to this, he would do films in vein to his 70s roles like Phil Spectre, Paterno, and You Don't Know Jack, he is willing to put himself in smaller films and roles that are risky like Phil Spectre or The Merchant of Venice. He has never stopped reaching for the stars and always gives his best, compared to others who phone it in and has been doing that the last 30 years. Others lose their focus and shine because they think they're the best at it and have reached Mount Everest, while Pacino is very humble and never thinks of himself as the best. Because of that, he has never stopped and has continued climbing.
Ps. You also have clearly not seen every Pacino film, you've missed out on many of his films and use Dunkachino as a commercial when it's a clip from a film. Very biased video

I say that cuz I dont wanna give off the wrong impression when I say I prefer DeNiro's movies. Goodfellas, Casino, Taxi Driver, just to name a few movies he's in that just fit my style more. That has more to do with the writing/directing of the movie itself, and less to do with the actors tho. As far as I'm concerned, these two are on par, right next to Pesci too. When the Irishman came out, and it had all three of em in it, I thought I was dreaming. Phenomenal actors

Pacino is the better all-round actor, hands down, particularly in his heyday. Not saying De Niro is a bad actor, but he's a one-trick pony, does the same old wince-and-grimace routine regardless of the role he plays. Pacino can do intense drama to light comedy with wide variations in between and play the characters all differently. He can be scary, funny, threatening, endearing. De Niro struggles in some of these roles. To think that the same guy from Author Author and And Justice For All played Tony Montana in Scarface a mere few years after those roles is pretty incredible because they are so different and so well-defined. To think that he went from Serpico to Godfather II to Dog Day Afternoon in a mere 3 years is amazing, all sterling multifaceted performances. De Niro is on a single wavelength, whereas Pacino traverses the entire spectrum. He started out as a classically trained stage actor which certainly enhanced his performances. De Niro has never stepped foot near a stage, he relies on guys like Martin Scorsese to patch together a great performance in the editing room. And De Niro cannot do comedy, period - his best comedy is Midnight Run (1988) and it's only funny because he plays it the same way he plays every other serious role, mostly deadpan, while the supporting cast steals the show. Pacino started slipping a bit after his bad spell in the 1980s with the massive flop of Revolution (1985), after which he took a hiatus from acting and returned to the screen in 1989 with a great thriller Sea Of Love, but his voice had markedly changed due to chainsmoking and he then entered the HOO-AH phase (gravel voice and increased tendency to scream in his roles) 😀

Dang I like them both always have lol 😆 but Al Pacino & Robert De Niro has also done at least 4 films together & Heat is one of my favorite movie of all time & quite honestly they both are equals too me! But it's Pacino's epic rants & his channeling into madness that I always give accolades too but he can be very funny too but I actually liked him & Adam Sandler together lol but with Robert De Niro I thought his funny side was actually really funny especially in the Meet the Fockers but all in all they both are simply the best!

Robert De Niro, 1,000%. Of course Al Pacino has an amazing repertoire, but he hit a point in his career where he essentially played the same “shouty”, overacting character, starting around Scent Of A Woman.

Excuse me!! Why wasn't ANALYZE THIS included in Robert De Niro's "funny moments" list? Are you guys professionals or not? There is no way that the comedy round goes to Al Pacino.
Overall, De Niro has played more roles where he disappeared completely. In contrast, I've never experienced Al Pacino as a different character. Always, it's Al Pacino doing a Pacino impersonation of some character. Paino's work is entertaining, while De Niro's is often mesmerizing.

I've seen Pacino perform live on stage and he resorted to the same canned mannerisms and bombastic delivery. It's not that he isn't interesting as an actor. It's that he's interesting at being this Pacino guy play-acting other guys.
The only movie that Pacino somewhat pulled away from his Pacino shtick was Christopher Nolan's brilliant INSOMNIA and I attribute that the Nolan's uncanny ability to strip artifice away from actors even in movies dealing with the fantastical.
