- He was 95 years old.
My Grandad, sadly passed away on September 25th 2020.
In this video I reflect on the lessons he taught me, I discuss the unexpected rollercoaster of emotions I've felt since his loss and pay tribute to the amazing man he was.
I really haven't been inspired to create content with this going on and I wanted to talk about it before I published any more videos.
This video was more for me, a time to reflect and talk to the camera. BUT I hope the lessons help you too.
He taught me:
To stay resilient
To laugh and have more fun
To not worry about other peoples opinions
To always keep going
To not worry about money
To put family first
To reduce regrets
Plus more.
Grandad, you were an inspiration.

This recent experience has taught me a lot and I wanted to share those lessons in this video... I hope they help.
I'm terribly sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing but I'm glad you were able to enjoy him for so long and that you've taken lessons from his life.
@@latetotheparty7551 100% agree. It was a sad time, but I'm feeling very grateful right now knowing how lucky I was to have him in my life. Hope you're doing well!
@@PaulMcGregorVideos I'm doing well, thanks! I lost my grandfather, who I called dad for years, back in the early 2000's. As time has moved on I think back to the good times we had and the fun memories we created. Each year, I celebrate his life on his birthday which is a day before mine. Parental figures contribute so much to kids' lives and I count myself blessed to have known him.
He was just about half your grandfather's age and I can't imagine the breadth of history and perspective yours was able to offer. Our elders are quite resilient and a hoot to listen to and learn from.
@@latetotheparty7551 Sorry to hear that too, sounds like you had an amazing father figure in him

Thank you for posting this video Paul.
It clearly shows how by living a good life, overcoming adversity and not avoiding it, one can be an inspiration to people without meaning to do so.
100%!
