The temps are in the high 90s and rising. Rain is gone and the dry weather moves in. It's actually a health issue to be out working in the yard so Doc shows some of the general work being done.

You should get a tech/non-cotton shirt for outside. Wearing cotton is like wearing a towel - get a shirt that wicks the sweat away from you. From a fellow Georgian!

I have a problem with cats on my yard and mosquitoes. so I'm trying to plant a small row of lavender since it acts as a repellent for both, as a natural solution two my two biggest pests. (seems to work as long as the lavender don't die on me... I'm still finding my watering balance on those lol)
I think you might like t try to put some garlic or geraniums near your orchard. those are two that I remember that keep Japanese beetles away. there are others but none that I remember of the top of my head right now.

My experience has been beetle bags draw in Japanese beetles. I use Bayer Advances Tree & Shrub. It systematically wipes out Japanese beetles and other chewing/sucking insects for vow months! Sure has saved me from spraying plus it does not harm the beneficial insects.

If your trees and flowers are cover with beetles... do both. If they are already coming in... I don't believe they draw MORE. There is no documented evidence of them drawing "more".
