I love your videos and your info. I being a women I think surprises people with our lawn. I get all good comments on our yard. I really enjoy working with our lawn. Thank you!!💖🤗
Hey Doc, this has nothing to do with this video, but I was wondering about what to do AFTER I have killed the crabgrass in my lawn. Do I leave it in place, rake it out, or something else. I have watched dozens of videos on killing crabgrass, but nothing about what to do after it is dead
Doc- my area just banned outdoor watering until September 4th. ( temps are brutal right now 100+ and no rain on sight)Any thing I should do now in order to bring it back in the Spring? I installed a new zoysia lawn last spring and have been following your advice with great success so far.
Hey Doc, I’m in lower Alabama, and it’s hot and humid! Thank you for the excellent video, I’m still feeding my Bermuda and it’s doing great in the heat. I’m interested to see what kind of shade tolerant seed you choose, my backyard is mostly shade all the time.
Thanks for the videos Doc! I have learned so much! I’m a cool season guy in CO and we have been pounding down the Dirt Booster this summer. I was wondering when winter hits will the mycorrhizal fungi die and will we have to start over next season or will it come back each year? Thanks again, keep up the awesome content!
Doc love the videos, I have Icon zoysia I have followed the lawn guide from jan with alternate treatments of PGF complete and super juice. Last treatment of PGF completewas 6/24. I have several areas which I resodded in early feb, the existing zoysia looks fantastic the new sod has issues is it possible I may have over stimulated the new sod. I know you say just leave the new sod alone for a season but the new is in areas that are kind of mixed in with the existing. Would love to send you a photo and get your opinion. In central Florida so lots of 90s and rain
Doc, love your videos. I'm in AZ and try to keep a nice green lawn through out the year. So Bermuda in the summer and perennial rye in the winter. This previous winter i didn't seed any rye grass and sprayed the yard with glyphosate and tilled the entire yard. I didn't spray pre emergent because i was just starting to really want to get my lawn nice and didn't know that I needed to do it. Anyways, some Bermuda survived. But along with it, I think I now have a HUGE crabgrass problem. I know i will have to tackle that in the fall. My concern is, will I still be able to grow rye if i spray a pre emergent or will that keep the rye grass from growing? Sorry for the lengthy question.
@@HowTowithDoc I'm using sprinklers for 3-7 minutes right at dawn and dusk. Shallow worthless soil from new subdivision build. House is only 2 years old. Longer watering just runs out into street.
Doc by experience i can tell you you should have used corrugated pipe and packing peanut sleeve for that drain pipe the sedimentation is gonna slowly but surely clog it
Two things! Be careful with horse poop for fertilizer, sometimes theres a chemical resudual from the straw they eat that can kill the plants. If I remember my research correctly, they don’t process them like cows do! Also! Big zucchini you can make spaghetti noodles with them! Or veggi boats!
Doc, go get a cardiac calcium score and a nuclear stress test if you haven't already. They're tools that give knowledge to know where a person is starting from. They're worth it.
Billy, he covered that in a recent video. I container garden so I wasn’t paying close attention but I recall one reason was (along with the wildflowers) the clover helps attract bees for the pollination of his veggies.
Doc that lawn on the side of your pond… knowing the amount of fertilizer you put down, its gonna get cover in algae from run off. Make a video when it happens and educate people on what happened
I’ll offer again…I’m an hour away and would love to come shake your hand and relieve of some of that produce! Bringing my daughter back over in a few short weeks - let me buy you dinner!!
Glad your friend is recovering. Thanks Doc!
Doc…your videos are great and have helped me understand my lawn more. Please keep the great content going thank you so much. 👍🏽shout out from Texas

When the tassel on the top of the corn plant turns brown it’s time to pick the corn.
Get well soon David. ✝️. Hope your back on your tractor 🚜 soon.
Thought you were looking a little slimmer Doc. You deserve a carb or two for all that work man 🌽

Doc, you mentioned there is no more Zoysia seed, may I know why?
Many zoysia types had failures and now the supply is very limited. Price has also doubled.

What is the brand of oil you put on the plants?
Always great vids! But what do you mean there are no zoysia seeds anymore????

I’m cool season… I’m throwing a block party on the 29th. I have green shocker. Is it ok to put down in the summer heat before the party?
Do it a week before and WATER...
@@HowTowithDoc thanks Doc! I enjoy your videos very much
Any of you Southeast fellas overseeding your Zoysia or Bermuda with annual rye in the fall for winter color?
We're in a record of 100+ degree days without rain in Texas (and will for weeks). What should I do to save my bermuda?
It won't die... but it all depends on what you can do with water.

Dang doc sold his old house? Or is RUclips doing well to get a beach house and farm house. Nice
Hey Doc, why did you plant clover all over the garden? Does that keep other weeds out?

Too snaky for me..
