i remember like 10+ years ago, at my local halloween express there was a life size don post myers with that 2006 mask & as a very young child i was absolutely terrified of it, i couldn’t even walk past it without my grandpa blocking him from my view haha… brings back memories!! (scary ones) i honestly think this mask & the statue was what fueled my fear of michael myers back then as i child & what created my love for the character today
Great old school Myers! I also completely agree about people not really getting how nice ToTS quality is compared to masks back then. Loving these videos giving some of these older masks the love they deserve!
It’s a fun one for sure! It seems like these masks have really been forgotten but I’m trying to document whatever I can while I have them, maybe in another 10 years everyone’s nostalgia for them will hit back and it’ll be fondly remembered haha
That's a really great find! I remember having what I believe was a Don Post "The Mask" back when I was a kid, albeit this would have been late-90's or early-2000's (definitely pre-2002). Compared to this one, it was of a lower quality (hair that was more of a bright auburn than brown, weird cut-open mouth, slightly "off" sculpt, etc.), but it was honestly the best you could hope for at the time, and I got a lot of fun out of it. Wore it one Halloween, then made a Michael Myers dummy the next year to put on our porch (stuffed some gloves, boots, coveralls and the mask with leaves, using sticks for support). Good times. Wish I still had it, but my childhood house had humidity issues, so it molded after a couple years. They might not be the best-quality imaginable, but I'm glad we got plenty of very decent, affordable Michael Myers mask options from companies like Trick or Treat Studios now. Finding that Don Post mask when I did was like a giant scavenger hunt back in the day, and if memory serves it was fairly expensive (I wanna say around $75 US?) whereas now you can find tons easily. Got a couple TOTS just for display purposes on one of my horror-movie shelves, and for being only about $50-$60 apiece, I can't complain.
I also had a Don Post “the mask” and it was the very first thing I ever bought off eBay, so that would have been 2005 or 2006. Mine melted to goo unfortunately but it was such a fun piece and I remember thinking it looked straight out of the movie. TOTS has been an absolute game changer for the myers collectors and I’m so happy they’re making pretty close to accurate masks, but these older masks definitely hold a place in my nostalgia
1:14 For the time the mask isnt that bad It feels like the halloween 4 mask helps you made the eyes black But i have seen bad versions of it mostly due to people not taking Care of the hair
This one does have 1978 Falcon branding on it, but its printed on a sewn in tag at the neckline, along with the PMG and Don Post information. It doesn't have any stamping on it that I'm aware of. I'd be interested to know what mask you've got though, sounds neat!
@@TheCBStudioOfficial Yeah it's a bit of a mystery, I've been trying to do research online. It looks closest to the one in this video and has the Don Post style eyebrows.
I had my Don post 15+ years before it started to go soft/melt etc got a butch of pictures with it. Been looking for one since but as you say they're pretty much non existent now which is a damn shame as to me it was an awesome mask. This video just confirmed what I already knew and will have to bite the bullet on one of the modern masks and stop comparing it to the Don Post's.
They’re absolutely a very specific vibe and super cool pieces. This one is actually up for sale on eBay at the moment as my collection needs some downsizing.

That’s amazing!! It’s so great how something so simple and in hindsight pretty cheesy can leave a lifelong impact hey!

Tots is still ass
This is the same exact mask of the 2003 Mask.
It was released for several years, yes
That's a really great find!

I really like this mask. Take off the eyebrows and it is absolutely perfect
I 100% agree. It’s a really promising sculpt. The eyebrows are weird as hell but I’ve seen some people really overhaul them to be perfect

Yeah the hair seems to be the big downfall for this mask. It took a bunch of brushing with a wire brush to get this sitting even vaguely properly
Wow it doesnt look bad at all! Lowkey better than most tots myers masks
Yeah it’s got a really cool vibe to it
I think I might have that mask but unsure. Found it in my attic, only marking on it says 1978 Falcon International productions Mexico.

I always thought this mask looked like an H4, just without the sideburns
Yeah it really does that that strange H4 vibe to the face
Excellent Spooktober content
I aim to spook!
How did it last so long?
Honestly, I have no idea. I’ll show you next time you’re over, but I have masks that I poured this week that look older than it
That is a nice shirt!
It’s the raddest shirt that I own
Do you know where I can get one of these?
They show up on eBay from time to time, but otherwise they can be pretty hard to find
Congrats on 425 subs.
You deserve more though
Thanks dude! It’s already way more than I expected tbh
My gripe is they made the eyebrows too big. Everything else is fine.
Yeah they’re pretty oversized, them being applied hair is also pretty weird
I think this is the one I have
Neat!
@@TheCBStudioOfficial I got it in 2011 and for years have been trying to figure out which one it was yeah im pretty sure it's this one
@@TheCBStudioOfficial Just checked the bar code tag holy shit it is indeed this one!
Hell yeah, very nice!
