The best way to learn how to get better at all aspects of skiing is go everyday. On the 4th day of skiing 6 -8 hours a day in a row you will be a pro,or at least feel like one. That feeling on the 4th day feels so good. Just trust me if you never ski before or just do it causually.
@@Greenhead24 same thing happens to me too, after 4th day everything comes in its place....stronger legs/body, less effort, good/excellent technique. I always ride GS skis since i was 24, now 39. 15 years only GS skis on my legs and nothing else.
@@Greenhead24of course every time i push the boundaries to be better and better, i never settle for just ''casual cruising''. Be the first on the chairlift and the last to ride it non-stop , thats what make a good skier.
No app is going to make you an expert, there's only one path, miles and miles of skiing and you need to be endlessly learning along the way. I'd also ask what edge angle is on his skis? I doubt it's 1° on normal skis. These apps give people unrealistic expectations that CARV will turn you into a carving super expert.
nah You need to have an trainer to get better. That tells you what you can improve and how. So the system is pretty helpful. In my last 100 ski days i didn’t improve at all. But i ski for fun so who cares.
Given how expensive skiing is, it makes more sense than anything to get as much as possible out of your hours spent doing those miles. Focused training is different from just doing. Non-stop in-ear feedback from every turn is gold
Finally something that I wanted my entire life! I live in a place where the temperature varies from 16 to 45 degrees Celsius. This is going to help me improve so quickly.
This system is terrible. The sensor raises your foot up and now all the work your bootfitter did is voided. Plus once you take it out you’ll ski differently unless you put in a shim that takes up the space that the carv sensor occupied. If you want to ski better just go skiing more. A nonsense computer isn’t going to make you any better just because it tells you your egde angle. Spend the money on going to a clinic and actually getting usable feedback from a coach.
Yeah and piles of snow from other skiers and the area in between those without snow, just ice. Tho personally I love going through those areas fast and jumping over them etc. But my thighs would like to kindly stop me from doing so.
@@holom1838 Is crud the name for that slope condition? Good to know thx. Yeah fun as hell, especially on the last few runs when it's just crud pretty much everywhere.
Your a genius. Think for a second instead of being so stuck in archaic tradition. Think if had ski shaped pads where his handle and gloves made contact. Would that be faster, of course it would. Now redesign the basket so it to use a glide surface, of course it would be faster. Now remove excess surface area and of course it would be faster. I bet you still believe in Santa Claus and Jesus because everyone else has for 2000 years
Notice they cut the shot off 'cause he was going to be out of balance (Unsustainable weight on the inside ski). On the more consistent turns, he doesn't get that low to the ground. Lucky he has soft snow to 'sink his edges' into.
Ok, but do you make a version that I can use for less than what I make in a month?
I went with the single sensor package, it gives good feedback on how my big toes performing 👍🏼
:))))))
💀 I mean skiing is an expensive sport so
If you dont have the money for this dumb shit you dont have the money to go to a ski resort either so why do you even care
You make 17$ per month?
Man was sitting down
Its called ass to the gras

I miss skiing
If only I could get some snow
Shows just how important it is to sharpen your edges, groomed slopes can get very icy over night. blunt edges = blunt force trauma
No shit, Sherlock !!!😂
He on that 87/2 degrees tho

Helps when the snow is good.

Hips and Body facing straight downhill (no hip swing/rotation). Legs, boots and skis do all the work.
С удовольствием научился бы так же 😅

I finally figured this out short turns you got to get lower to the snow and sit back further on your heels
Buen interior perdiendo el apoyo exterior por rozar con la bota por meterle demasiado angulo en la primera toma. Eso si, la foto espectacular....

How can you count similarity by percentage if u can rate it only visually?
There's no visual comparison, what are you on about? It's from gyroscopes in the boots

Ted Ligety?
With I could get a edge but my skis are as dull as hell
Get 'em sharpened (or do it yourself with quality equipment and proper technique).
Keep trying, might wanna try doing some french fries
