@keep your stupid comments in your pocket please that’s my issue with Filoni redoing these scenes but Disney saying it’s all canon. They take the concepts from George & Filoni’s shows that weren’t on screen and put them in books, & when Filoni finally gets to it the events are altered. Plus yes The comic version was better they’re was a lot more subtlety then how extremely rushed and almost emotional less it felt here.
I think the reason that Omega said "I know what you're going to do, please don't do it" was because she understood that Crosshair was being affected by the inhibitor chip, not because she was prescient/Force sensitive.
@@germandude5667 7 is not a bad rating, we've just been conditioned to believe that because of how we see ratings. 6/10 is not supposed to be bad, it is still good and above average, but whenever I see 6 on IMDB I likely will not watch it. Personally I would give it 7.5 or 8, as I felt it was limited as the opener to the show but great nonetheless
Yeah, it's the single best SW series opening so far. I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10, but with a start like this, it has a good chance to be better than even TCW in a few years.
Omega has photographic memory. She’s not force sensitive. She was literally watching Hunter’s mannerisms and copying em. Even when they were shooting in the hangar she was watching them shoot and learned how to shoot. Plus Omega was Lama Su’s assistant so it wouldn’t surprise me if she knew about the chips insides the clones
Over all the show was renderd really well, and ya the shot where they where entering the docking station on komino for the first time looked real, until they zoomed in
Seeing Deppa feel the disturbance in the Force messed me up man. And then the realization in her face that she needs to keep Caleb safe. Filoni messed us up again but I still love him lmao
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the ending scene - we were all Omega the first time we saw a ship jump to hyperspace, the first time we watched star wars and we knew we were hooked and that is our thing. That is why we are here - grown men and women being excited about a cartoon - the magic of the star wars universe.
Yeah that part seeing the stars spread stretched in her eyes got me thinking at the same time, that’s me, that’s a Star Wars fan, that is every Star Wars fan who just didn’t know how much their life would change.
Hunter was the best thing that ever happened in this episode.. He KNEW shit wasn’t right and I’m glad he stuck with his feelings on it by disobeying orders despite Crosshairs calling him out on it.
The scene in Rebels where Ezra asks Kanan about why he hates the clones so much makes more sense now. He talks about watching the clones kill his master right in front of him. Hopefully we will see more of a young Kanan. Also thought we might see Hera at the camp
I kinda doubt we'll see more of Kanan cause it wasn't until Rebels that he started lightening up towards clones, meaning any interaction that could happen between him and the Bad Batch cant be friendly. And because of this, there's not really any development to gain for both Kanan and the Bad Batch if they meet again.
I think Omega is genetically engineered to have a high emotional intelligence, her being able to comfort Crosshair and her knowing to bring Wreckers “teddy bear” to comfort him as well is good evidence of this. As well as being a good shot, which could be just training or borrowing like you said small traits from each member.
@@NicholasSteMarie in my opinion it is... Of course the aftermath ist really bad. But imagine you fight years over years with soldiers by your side, creating friendship... And in one moment they turn the back on you and kill you. IMO it's the worst thing 😭

I really loved the intro sequence. It's a small thing, but showing the various helmets/clone wars era heads, and the "The Clone Wars" changing into "The Bad Batch" was a really cool bit. Really shows how BB picks up from where CW left off.
By watching at the Kaminoans protesting the clone creation halt order by Tarkin, I can say this show has the potential to show the Clone rebellion in Kamino.
Are the clones even capable of rebellion at this point or do the effects of the chip wear off. Even outside of Jedi killing, Order 66 seems to have changed the clones. Even Separatist battle droids seem to be more "human" than the post-order 66 clones.
I thought the same thing. Especially when they are discussing omegas escape and to keep it hidden from the empire until their intentions are more clear.
Officially there never was a clone rebellion on Kamino. Unofficially, approximately twenty years after we were created, a special detachment of the Imperial 501st Legion was dispatched to Kamino, with orders to eradicate an army of clones that had been bred to take arms against the Empire. - 501st Journal.
See's Anikan and Obi Wan saving Palpatine from ROTS in Clone Wars Animation. Does not see Palpatine say 'Dew it' in Clone Wars Animation Me: " We were on the verge of greatness. We were this close..."
It’s amazing how they managed to make us love the clones in CW and then seeing them as a serious thread, even hating them to a certain degree in Season 7 and Bad batch.
I love that even though Crosshair had the reinforced inhibitor chip at that point he still waited a long moment before firing. I like to think there still might be some tiny remnant of loyalty to his brothers deep down that might resurface toward the end of the season.
@@KS-cz9qc Nala Se did save the Bad Batch by keeping the hangar doors open. She and the other Kaminoans might revert/deactivate the programming of Crosshair and the other clones. Which could lead to the Kaminoan Rebellion.

@@outbreakperfected9374 that's the legends explaination. Canon, inhibitor chip clones don't have remorse. They didn't care if Aayla would suffer or not
The bad batch all specialize in one aspect of the human psyche each. Omega’s is empathy. She’s an empath, and in the SWU that probably equates force sensitivity.
Not to mention she knew what crosshair was going to do, asked him not to, and told him it wasn't his fault. I'm definitely leaning towards force sensitive. I also think this show is going to try and explain/make the sequel trilogy more understandable. They could have made Omega look like anyone.....instead, she looks like Palpating in the early seasons of the Clone Wars and I'm not referring to her hair. I'm talking about her entire facial structure.
I think Tarkin has figured out who omega is, or at least is on his way to figure it out. In the scene where the kaminoan begins to explain clone force 99 and how there were five enhanced clones, Tarkin looks at omega directly. This may simply be a coincidence or it more likely means that omega has sparked his curiosity. He will probably spend time figuring out why she is in kamino and what purpose she serves. Additionally, Tarkin was in the mission in which echo was left behind. We can assume that he has remembered this somewhat through the many battles he has fought in the clone wars. Although Tarkin is no Thrawn, we can assume he has begun to put to and to together. After all, he is bright and is spending an awfully long time looking into clone force 99.
Omega's words to Crosshairs really hit me emotionally. No Clone would choose to do this willingly and this makes Crosshairs more sympathetic in the series going forward
Well crosshair went through chip augmentation making the chips influence stronger, so technically he really not doing it of his own freewill, despite his already unusual desire to follow orders
I sorta feel sorry for him and I sorta don't at the same time. Hes always been cold and callous, but now after the chip augmentation, hes absolutely sadistic.
@@lolmetswhathappeneduhhh2029 I wouldn't call him sadistic at all, he's merely what you already called him, cold and callous, he apathetically gets the job done, regardless of how many have to be sacrificed, innocent or not.

That same scene where Emperor Palpatine announces the Galactic Empire...... men o men. That was awesome, dark, and so unnerving. This episode is absolutly amazing. Many cameo's and some known characters and a very interesting take into the real change from Clone troopers to Storm troopers (the evaluation / total change of order etc.) and 75 mins, thats a grand gift!
I think it's the other way around, she was able to feel his emotion in the cell. My guess is he is going to get hurt or something, she'll put her hand on him & realize that his emotions have been amplified multiple times over & since she was an assistant, I'd say it's safe to say she knows about the chip. Tech knew about it, he is also the smartest. But if she knows about it, i'm sure they'll take it out soon. But we'll see.
I think Crosshair is an interesting character in that I think even without the chip he would have been inclined to follow order 66 and shot almost anyone else the Empire directed him to shoot, except the Bad batch. I think the chip over clock forces him to go against his brothers now and disregard his own safety.
@@redharvest298 Yeah, if I were to choose before watching who I think would turn on the crew, it would have been crosshair. I don't know how his character would be if he didn't follow the order or even had the urge to, it would be weird.

Dave Filoni does a fantastic job linking all the different series together with one another and the movies too, it’s so cool to see the thought process of clones too, and too see the regs in a new light
Remember during episode 7 when phasma told finn who gave him authorization to remove his helmet. Well did anyone else notice that everyone affected kept their helmets on. Like when the bad batch returned to kamino everyone had their helmets off except crosshair
I always get chills when i hear Palpatine say: the first GALACTIC EMPIRE!!!! Btw i think Omega is like a clone with all the abilities of all in the bad bath ( not Echo) because for example she shot crosshair with super accuracy and it was her first time using a blaster.
Imagine them fighting Thrawn, Maul and his crime gangs or Vader and his inquisitors. Meeting Ashoka, The early ghost crew, Obi-wan, perhaps a reanimated Mace Windu travelling with him into the unknown regions. This series has so much potential with existing and new storylines!
Maybe not Lord Vader? But a Mace if Vader must be thrown into the mix so there's some balance. Mace would put the fear of death in Vader, and Vader would barely survive a round 2 if Mace uses purple force lightning LOL! Mace would spare Vader only because Mace has seen Vader's destiny. If that became a part of the story, I'd dance to that tune! #macelives
Crosshair’s helmet looks kinda like a Death Trooper with the green tint on his visor. Death Troopers could have been clones of Crosshair to replicate his sharp shooting skills.
I hope the Bad Batch aren't destined to die, because I'm starting to like them. Hell, Ezra's a Jedi and he didn't die. He just went missing, so maybe the Bad Batch could be stuck in some sort of cryostasis and appear in The Mandalorian later on? The Bad Batch could later become the sequel to Rebels we wanted and focus on the search for Ezra.
Then the same issue could crop up as we saw with Ezra. Where they should have died but the plot keeps them alive. Like hell, Thrawn shot Ezra at point blank range and Ezra still didn't die. Dont do that to our boys. Dont get me wrong, I love the Bad Batch. But I dont want the plot to be constantly protecting them unless they choose to leave the galaxy's affairs like Cut was
I thought I’d hate her and she’d be a very surface level generic Mary Sue, however I kinda feel bad for her and she’s not a cocky arsehole which is nice, and so far I like Hunter and hers relationship
There is a deep story with her, and she is no Mary Sue. I see a ton of potential in Omega, and I'm loving the dynamic between her and The loyal members of the Bad Batch. Especially with Hunter.
@@motionadapt1589 yh, wrecker is the least interesting one to me since he is the ‘strong’ character which I’ve seen repeated 1000 times, however I like that he tries to overcompensate on being an alpha to cover up his vulnerability, that could be a good place to go with their relationship
I died laughing, when Palpetine said: the attempt on my life has left me scared and deformed and Wrecker laughs and says: ''heh you can say that again'' xD
Idk if this has ever mention before. When the Bad Batch landed on Kamino in the beginning of the episode, all the Bad Batch crew took off their helmet, except Crosshair. This foreshadows his seperation from the group and symbolise his obedience towards Order 66, and making him feels less human like the rest of the clones
Rey's father is the Palpatine, not the mother, doubt they're gonna make rey a product of incest. Besides, i think they'll try move away from the sequels for now and things will link to the mandalorian, rebels, ahsoka etc
I have a feeling that Omega's clone mutation is her killer intuition, not because she is possibly a force sensitive. Everything she says to Hunter was on point and literal. One of the boys did say that she is rather "insightful".
@@lucianlawson-foley5967 I was under the same impression. But it’s probably more than just that because simply being a female isn’t enough for the kaminoans to consider her an asset. She’s gotta have some sort of enhancement that makes her unique.
When I was watching the episode, it felt very dark in kamino. You can feel how different it is when the clones are ruled by the republic and the empire.
I remember when I first saw Kanan I almost had a heart-attack. In rebels he always talked about his past but we never actually saw what happened. That first episode was so good!
I think Omega knows that clones have the inhibitor chips, she sees crosshair holding his head from the chip working and knows what’s happening that way. She’s seen how clones act when the inhibitor chips are active and saw crosshair acting the same way. She even said it wasn’t his choice that he felt the way he does.
@@jcoolguy1548 Hate to be that guy, but they kinda confirmed in the episode she was the 5th defective clone and that’s why the bad batch went back to save her
Man the premiere was so much better than I thought. The narration at the start, Kanan's backstory, the "guess I'm in charge now" reference...all the little details really get the serotonin flowing
Getting these various perspectives of Order 66 really makes it more real. More heart wrenching. We feel bad for the Jedi. We feel bad for the Clones, no longer in control of their own minds. We feel bad for the Clones that didn't succumb to the Chip, watching their world fall apart, helpless to it all. Each time we see it, it hits us hard. Simply amazing how they do it.

I mean Echo was apart of the bad batch and there were 5 of them so it was pretty easy to assume as such. But that’s a good point.

I thought I’d hate her and she’d be a very surface level generic Mary Sue, however I kinda feel bad for her and she’s not a cocky arsehole which is nice, and so far I like Hunter and hers relationship
@@blazefa. and hers and wrecker
Had my sister and me in hysterics!
Throughout the entire episode Wrecker was just pure comedy, it was awesome
Wrecker and Hunter are the best characters.
@@draar829 when he got shot by Crosshair I thought he died but I saw him move and I was YESSSS HESSSS ALIVEEEEE
@@draar829 yeah wrecker is hilarious
When you go back to the original movie and then think about how much has spawned from that single movie, it's amazing.
Absolutely
Can we just appreciate how he doesn't use an annoying spoiling title such as a spoiling thumbnail...
Red arrow pointing to background INQUISTOR?
Wait but how is tech a normie? There’s no way he’s normal..
@@miguel900proyes8 he meant Echo, he acknowledged it in his episode 2 breakdown and said he meant Echo
@@Luisn_n Oh I know for sure echo's a normie I was just confusion on tech.
Idk why but seeing Kanan/Caleb just made me feel so comforted and warm even though much younger and kinda sad circumstances
Very brave and confident padawan, died protecting his friends, reminds me of Anakin
Theory: if omega is made of palps time blood to an extent she could be say, reys mother
Possible
Maybe but I don't think anybody cares about rey
Rey's father is the Palpatine, not the mother, doubt they're gonna make rey a product of incest. Besides, i think they'll try move away from the sequels for now and things will link to the mandalorian, rebels, ahsoka etc
@@lukeboylan7901 But Mandalorian is theoretically linked to sequels since Grogu could be the basis for Palpatine or Snoke.
@@lukeboylan7901 Palpatine is reys grandfather
I have a feeling that Omega's clone mutation is her killer intuition, not because she is possibly a force sensitive. Everything she says to Hunter was on point and literal. One of the boys did say that she is rather "insightful".
I just assumed that her 'mutation' was that she was, well, a girl
@@lucianlawson-foley5967 I was under the same impression. But it’s probably more than just that because simply being a female isn’t enough for the kaminoans to consider her an asset. She’s gotta have some sort of enhancement that makes her unique.
@@artloverivy I think she’s a telepath that would be the only way for her to be sending people without being force sensitive
I love that we still got the classic clone wars narration at the start
When we saw Depa Billaba: Alright Kanan will be here!
*Thinks about it for a sec*: Oh no, Kanan will be here :/
lol same
*begins to cry*
@STELLAH MBEYU KOTTE frik off
The "young" Kanan voice just didn’t match him whatsoever xD
I was just laughing every time he spoke.
When I was watching the episode, it felt very dark in kamino. You can feel how different it is when the clones are ruled by the republic and the empire.
I remember when I first saw Kanan I almost had a heart-attack. In rebels he always talked about his past but we never actually saw what happened. That first episode was so good!
We did see what happened
in the comics we clearly did
comics my guy
@@Stringer13ell Well yeah but I'm talking about in the shows and movies
There was a comic telling us how he lost his Master and how he got away. It was waaay different than what was shown on the show.
Yeah she also works in the medical bay too so she probably knows about the chips
Yeah, it has nothing to do with the Force, she just knows about what they're doing to the other clones.
This might be a stretch, but I think Omega herself is a clone. Like I said, it might be a stretch. I'm not 100% sure
@@jcoolguy1548 Hate to be that guy, but they kinda confirmed in the episode she was the 5th defective clone and that’s why the bad batch went back to save her
@@walkingaroundtheworld3341 her defect is that shes a female sheev
Man the premiere was so much better than I thought. The narration at the start, Kanan's backstory, the "guess I'm in charge now" reference...all the little details really get the serotonin flowing
Getting these various perspectives of Order 66 really makes it more real. More heart wrenching. We feel bad for the Jedi. We feel bad for the Clones, no longer in control of their own minds. We feel bad for the Clones that didn't succumb to the Chip, watching their world fall apart, helpless to it all. Each time we see it, it hits us hard. Simply amazing how they do it.
Kix inevitably becomes the last living clone. He gets cryogenically frozen for 50 years. He wakes up during the sequel trilogy.
Whos he
is this in a book or comic? I'd love to check it out
@@elliotjp he’s the main medic in the 501st
@@lukebloom7768 was he in clone wars episode
@@elliotjp yes he was the clone with the republic logo tattoo on his head
I'm so happy we got to see Order 66 through Kanan's POV. It adds so much more depth to Rebels.
Yeah I agree. There was also a comic that told it through Kanan's POV too. I hope we see more of Kanan in this series
@@jcoolguy1548 so that comic is now retconned since the opening scene of this episode goes over order 66. It sucks but i guess we got to see young Kanan in animated form.
