    There were Lions in Europe specifically Panthera spelaea (European Cave Lion) for a long time until around 13000 years ago. 👍

    Why did an apple change into an orange? The two flags are different types of flag. One is a national flag that emerged from a religious flag (St. George's cross), the other the personal heraldic flag of the kings of England. At the Battle of Agincourt, Henry V had a number of banners to indicate his presence on the battlefield, the cross of St. George, his royal banner, the flag of St. Edward the Confessor and the flag of the Holy Trinity. Two flags used at the same place and same time is a pretty good indication that they served different purposes and one did not replace the other.

    Sorry, the so-called Ed the Confessor flag is based on a medieval misunderstanding of one of his coins.
