The fact that this part and others have been cut off in certain countries around the world says it all. I'm a French atheist but this is pathetic. And the fact that we're attacking the model of our ancestors by replacing them with a version of the female Thor with a beard is disrespectful. (I'd like to make it clear that it's disrespectful in these particular circumstances, in a context where it would have been a drawing by a guy with the aim of messing around or something, I wouldn't have given a damn. But that's not the case here). What I understand about the opening of the Olympics is the desire to completely degrade the landmarks that made France what it is. However, some landmarks make you build 150-metre-high cathedrals and others make you wear stilettos and a twelve-year-old beard. I'm not religious, but I have a taste for beautiful things that elevate.
