may Allah bless our scholars, daee, and imam and people of knowledge in our ummah. this is so informational for everyone especially me who is not yet married inshallah.
I believe there are certain "deal breakers" to a marriage such as chronic alcoholism, long term unemployment, homelessness, long term incarceration, severe mental illness or repeated spousal abuse. In these cases its best to cut ones losses early, not waste time.
The emotional bank thing is so true, except our brothers in Islam should work on correcting there behavior first and for most. As our prophet saw said a women can put up with a lot of her husbands flutes except for rudeness/harsh. and in the words of Allah swt live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good. (An-Nisa 4:19)
Thank you very much for this episode, sadly people don't understand the rules of divorce these days, and everything happens too fast too soon
