Abu Taubah is being held in a detention facility in Florida, while the Government follows its legal process. No doubt, this is a test for our Muslim Brother Abu Taubah and his Family. As it is prescribed for the Muslims who have the misfortune to live in kaafir states to unite, to form bonds amongst themselves and cooperate with one another, we ask that you assist us in defense of our esteemed teacher. Also, Abu Taubah is a US Citizen who is "assumed to be innocent until proven guilty".
What should you do? Please donate generously to the "Abu Taubah Defense and Support Fund". Your contributions will be used to pay for food, clothing and shelter for his Family, and Abu Taubah's legal fees. Also, please make Duaa to Allah to Remove this Difficulty from Abu Taubah and his Family. Jumuah Khutbah delivered on the 6th of August 2010 by Abu Taubah at Green Lane Masjid, Birmingham UK, on the topic of making the most of the time we have.
Abu Taubah was born and raised in New York, he comes from an educated family where his mother was an English teacher turned Principal and his father a politician. He grew up with a love for education, language and teaching. He has been traveling widely around the world from a young age and this led him to a journey of learning about Islam.
Over the years he has met and studied with many scholars, activists and duaat. He spent a number of years studying in rural Mauritania under a number of scholars in the traditional way. He has mastered the Arabic language and its sciences, memorized the Quran with Ijazah and has also studied hadeeth, aqeedah, usul al fiqh and fiqh.
He is the founder the Foundation of Islamic Knowledge & Seminary (The FIKS) where he provides online learning of Arabic and Islamic studies to a number of students from around the world. Ustadh Abu Taubah currently resides with his family in Orlando, Florida. He is a popular teacher who spends a lot of time traveling to conferences and classes.

Will Allah still love me? I am a former drug addict and i slip up every now and then. Or am i doomed to hell? I am a former Christian but every since i was a kid ( i am 26 now) i have felt drawn to the words of Allah and his prophet Muhammad. I wish to learn more about the religion of Islam. Like i said before, I am a former Christian, but i am lost and confused when it comes to religion . God bless! I wish all Muslims both far and near all the best =)

@nomeatsteak Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said every son of adam is a sinner and the best of Sinners are those who repent. Allah is the most Merciful and looks for those to give Mercy to. May Allah guide you.
Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.. there once lived a man who killed many many people the amount given was nine hundred ninety-nine something within the man stirred and began to seek forgiveness for his way.. he found a righteous monk who spent all his time in worship.. the asked the related his story and asked if there was anyway for him to be forgiven.. the monk not speaking with knowledge told the man there was no way for him to be forgiven..

All people make mistakes.None of us are perfect.The important thing is to turn to our Creator in sincere repentence.

cont 2...if he reached at least half way he would see paradise.. if he hadn't.. hell.... it so happened that he had not reached half way.. but Allah the Most Gracious stretched out the measurements so that the man's intetion and action towards and goodness and seeking forgiveness would not be in vain and so that he could spend eternity in paradise.. angered the man killed the monk.. now he felt even worst.. he finally came upon a righteous man of knowledge.. after relating his story he was told to leave his land and move to a land of more religious minded people.. but on his way his time had come and he died before he could reach his destination.. two angels disagreed about where his soul would spend eternity.. Allah came and said measure the distance from where he left to where he was going..

@nomeatsteak As Salaamu Alaykum my brother, be strong and submit yourself to Allah(SWT) , He constantly forgives but you have to make the first step to Him, once you submit to Allah(SWT) try your level best to do right, remember were all not perfect, just try your level best to practice the deen of Islam once you surrender yourself.

@nomeatsteak Ya! Allah Loves when we come to him and ask for help and forgiveness, He knows our troubles and is waiting for us to come to him. Bug him day and night and know that Allah is the All Forgiver and the One that can Guide us.

You'll stay lost and confused when you follow religion, you should seek out a better concept of God. I loved this sermon but I am not a Muslim. I was raised in the south in a Black pentocostal church. They taught me about God but they didnt teach me what God was and why I should serve him. I believe that I was enlightened tonight to tell you this, but I believe God to be the concept of time. Apply Time to anything pertaining to God and see dont you get a better concept of spirituality.
