    Good work. Beavers are great animals and if they can be relocated to where they are needed, they are worth way more alive than dead. Also they appreciate staying alive too so as you said, it's just wins for everyone. Beautiful and fascinating animals.

    They had success preventing flooding in the Netherlands by widening the distance between the dikes so there was room for a floodplain. This also provides habitat for the wildlife so they don’t interfere with the canals. Also allowing the river to slow and the water to percolate so there’s more water in the land in the dry season. ruclips.net/video/zkmJRJaPBXE/видео.htmlsi=4EOxjwmEz_bU4prq it’s talked about in this video.

    Would you say that we as a species are also overpopulated?

    • @MagnakayViolet
      @MagnakayViolet 2 месяца назад

      I definitely believe that humans are invasive, but overpopulated is questionable because of cultures and lifestyle choices. Despite there being enough food and buildings to possibly feed and house every person, resources are not evenly distributed so that every person's needs are met humanely first and foremost. Education factors in as poor education systems allow problems to persist along with the issues caused by those who hoard resources for their own profit. Modern medicine and cleanliness is mainly what allowed humanity to grow exponentially as much fewer children die.

    They really don't need to be controlled. Maybe if people thought about the wildlife and how they live BEFORE creating homes or towns where they know full well it can flood then it's certainly not the fault of the wildlife. Sure you love beavers, thats nice, but beavers have been around for hundreds of years before humans ever even knew they existed and now all of a sudden there is an overpopulation? Definitely not. Just like any other animal The "over population" guise is really getting old and honestly a pathetic excuse just to find whatever joy you can in hunting animals for sport. Are your intentions good? Maybe. But you're still killing wildlife that IS crucial to wherever it is naturally. Did the state think it through before putting infrastructure where beavers build their dams and can flood the plains? Obviously not because now all of a sudden you have to catch and reroute all the beavers. It's all WRONG and you know it. Just like the rats or bunnies you kill, PEOPLE create those habitats where it entices these animals and PEOPLE bring the resources that cause rapid population growth. Farms are all littered with rubbish and THAT attracts animals. This canal was built obviously to unnaturally control water yet it's PEOPLE who ignored the wildlife clearly living there. The beaver is not the problem.
