Convert to the church watching this in 2022 and realizing how lucky we are to have these talks available to us. While not all talks have made me feel “watched over,” this one is one I will use in my talk on Sunday. Topic: How have I gained spiritually by watching conference. My spirituality has grown because I know God sends people to watch over us. I feel like I’m provided answers to the test by leaders who, like me, are normal people trying to do right for himself, his family and others. Hope my message reaches the right person.

I like talks like this because it's very informing. Most of the talks nowadays make me feel that we're just supposed to feel good and spread the gospel, but this actually paints the picture of the moral structure we should have and addresses issues specifically.
I am almost 70 yrs old. I was raised in the church. My great grandfather deed dome of his land for the first and only little mormom church in a very rural area calked Darbun Mississippi. The original church built by by grandfather, including mostly relatives was burnt down by persecutors, thry rebuilt to have that church burnt to the ground, however, a book of mormon was found untouched in the fire and is still had by present family members. I tell of this to point out I come from a very strong and faithful family of LDS, the church I grew up with is much different from what I witness today. Today I see the encouraging if members to accept what the world sees as nmthe new Nirmal to spite how clear Gods moral laws. I've been disappointed to have present leaders to encourage its members to nit pay attention to the these words, words of past prophets, I see the church leaders sending billions if dollars to Unite Nations that has become not only corrupt but Satanic and in great part , a great part in the New World Order and a One World religion, that I know without doubt us not of God. If it the intent to send money to the UN is for humatarian reasons as they state, how can they entrust this money is going to help the poor, the needy through out the world? Many of us ask our publuc servants to exit the UN, to not fund them, yet our church is doing so? We have plenty of our own, poor, needy, homeless, including vets right here in America that we should be helping. You take care of your first. I'm more than happy to kniw my church extends a hand to the less fortunate but nit into the habmnds if the UN, the WHO, THE WEF as these are NIT organizations where Christ is at the head but rather Satan. With this said, I am Niwot speaking against the gospel but rather testifying to the truthfulness if the gospel. The gospel I grew up to learn and establish my own personal testimony of. We are not to accept the new Normal, to be told by our leaders today that certain words spoken by past prophets are nit to be paid attention to, that the church doesn't accept them as gospel and I say this because they have come against ehat the prophet Joseph dmith said in the book of mormon in regards to the Constitution hanging by a thread and it would be the elders if thus church that would save it. We can't accept some verses of scripture snd exclude others. The entirety of the scriptures are true or they are not. It's my humble belief that every verse contained in the scriptures Is true. I will not exclude certain ones.
After all those years this Revelation is being fulfilled, may God bless us all to be able to fight the Evil happening right before our eyes, these are most certainly the end of days and the beginning of the Millennium which is at hand, I pray that we are prepared to receive our King.

A lot of people are saying they wished there was more talks like this. And while it’s a wonderful talk, perhaps we are missing out on wonderful talks being given recently too. For the last few months I have listened to one general conference talk a day going from most recent on back. As I listened and pondered them, I realize how amazing and inspired they are. Ezra Taft Benson was a wonderful prophet, but so are our general authorities today. If something seems to simple or mundane, perhaps we need to reread or ponder on it more until we understand the deeper significance behind it.
We need to pray for freedom, for our religion and our families to be protected by God. President Benson stated that "This is a preordain land". His inhabitants need to worship God. We worship God by being obedient to his commandments and the covenants we had made in the Temple. A special way to worship is by serving the sick, the needy and the afflicted. He is pleased when we succor his children. "When ye are in the service of your fellowman you are only in the service of your God ".
It may not be our proper who is sounding the warning vice now but many messengers did god send the world and many are having dreams and visions outside of our church doesn’t make them any less important or true and we can gain insight by listening to them too
We just don't get this great message anymore, especially now as America is crumbling and western civilization is so corrupt. We just never hear this message anymore. I miss the prophet.
The inspired technology that exists now did not exist then. The messages delivered now are on point. We must use the power of discernment with the aid of The Holy Ghost to hear and personally prepare ourselves. If we desire, we can search out these messages with the technology at our disposal. So easily too! On youtube for goodness sakes. Amazing. The doctrine and commandments have never wavered. Remember that as we hear something that seems to be “softening” or a “change of position”. I think you’ll find that it’s just love for our brothers and sisters that is emphasized over bending. Remember The Lord’s commandments To “forbid NO man (or woman) from coming unto Him and worshipping in his church”. Being worthy of ordinances including baptism or temple covenants still depend on an uncompromising obedience to those commandments. The Gospel Library app has all this stuff and more to view at any time along with the ability to read or have read to you all of the scriptures. Techno-amazing dispensation we are living in. I know that the principles of the LDS Faith is similar to my Lutheran up bringing. I just can't wrap my head around Joseph Smith. No offense.

Most church members today don't want to hear talks like this. Today most members just want to go along daily thinking all is well. It's sad.
