This track just shows how badly Geto won, and how uncertain the future is for our protagonists. But there is some hope. Geto is essentially creating a war, and a war has always has two sides with either one possibly able to win.
I feel like the tone describes the entire story of the Shibuya Incident

I loved pretty much all of this season's soundtrack but this came out of left field in a sick way. There's some cool chromatics sprinkled in so it feels romantic at times. Especially the part right after the string crescendo, sounded very Rach to me

Bad guy escaped, and people are dying.
To me, this brings back the feeling of Avengers Infinity War. I hated it, but it’s probably best for the plot.

They always despised Gojo for limiting their powers and generally showing them up. They'd take any excuse to keep him out of the picture.

i absolutely lost my shit when i heard the song. it gave me such soulcalibur etc vibes, instantly hitting nostalgia cause gosh that's my childhood. it was so beautiful and haunting of a moment that me & my friend had to rewatch it again for the song & visuals. false geto (i know their name but i won't list it for anime onlies. :3) absolutely served & rocked that episode.
funnily, i showed this video to my friend without letting them see and they asked me if it was soulcalibur. XD
coming back: i think specifically parts of it remind me of a section of the song "Seize your destiny" from Soulcalibur 4. maybe a few others. no wonder the nostalgia hit so hard hearing these cause i used to watch that intro scene so many times.
